"A step back in time"
The hotel was definitely off the beaten path. But it was fairly easy to find. The one drawback was thankfully I had packed my hair dryer. They did not have a hair dryer and they did not provide shampoo and hair conditioner.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff very friendly and helpful. room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The most positive accolade I can provide for this establishment is that it was positively terrible. Way off I-40 and did not provide the accommodations we requested. We were moving across country in a 26ft truck w/ car in tow and were assured of adequate parking accommodations for our 'big rig' which never materialized. We slept in our street clothes […] because the room was so nasty we were uncomfortable with our skin making contact with bed linens. Beware and take heed to avoid this establishment. "We are very satisfied"

We booked this hotel for our trip from Ohio to Texas after reading the favorable reviews on this site. The price was very good, especially with a travel coupon. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It isn't a high end hotel, but it met our needs. The location is a bit out of the way, which was roughly 15 minutes, but it was a pleasant drive and well worth it. The local area is small town and we were within walking distance to everything we needed. We were so satisfied with our stay that we booked a room for the return trip home. I would not hesitate to stay here in the future.
"You will be surprised...GREAT Value!"

Its off the beaten track, about 3 miles into town off the interstate, but you will save a fortune! You will get a spacious, clean room. Large Flat screen TV, with a great channel line up. Extremely comfortable beds! So soft you won't wanna get up in the morning!!!! They both had clean bedding and comfortable pillows. The bathroom was spotless! Quite spacious too, compared to most motels. Even high end ones. We had a kitchen area in our room (very clean), with two double beds. I'm not sure if all the rooms have kitchens though. You could ask. WIFi worked great!!!! Very fast and reliable. They are a friendly couple that own this motel, very welcoming upon check in, the lady was nice, I noticed they are pet friendly too, with a $10 charge. There is a diner in the parking lot. Other restaurants and Walmart all within 2 miles. Walgreens too, right down the road and a convenient gas station within walking distance. Its a nice little town. We would return here in a heartbeat if we were ever back. Its well worth the money and the little extra driving from the interstate! ALL THIS FOR $40!!!!!!! Travel coupon available in most truck stops and Denny's along the way.

After having such a nice experience at the local Comfort Inn a few years back. On a trip to Texas I decided to stop at this exit again for the familiarity. Though, the former was booked solid I was quickly redirected to the Sunrise. Which turned out to be a good alternative, and very decent for the value. I admit, it is a little bit out of the way, but it was great to be so close to the cafe I'd dined at on my previous visit. Also, I don't usually like to stay in motels for sake of feeling exposed, The comfortability of my surroundings, however, did help to dull any uneasiness I felt initially. Thank you, Mr. Bhakta and family for making a difficult situation much easier.

I have nothing, but praise for the family and staff that run this motel were fantastic. They were courteous, friendly, and made an already difficult situation more than bearable. I was on a roadtrip from Washington to Massachusetts when I stumbled upon this place. While I'll admit it was a little off the beaten path. The drive was well worth it, especially for the value. The rooms are clean and the beds are soft, plus with good old fashioned small town charm, what more could you need?
"How Customer Service Should Be"

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on a recent business trip and was very impressed with the service I received. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful even to the extent to call my room to check and see if I settled in alright and offered to help unload my vehicle. The room was very spacious, with a king size bed, couch, fridge, microwave & TV. Very clean. Great price, travel coupons honored. I stay in many hotels for business and just being treated respectfully on a one on one basis is not something you see much of nowadays. This experience showed me that there is still awesome customer service still out there along with people who enjoy helping others. A little off the beaten path but close enough to the highway not to be an inconvenience. Well worth the experience!! I will not hestitate to stay here again and plan on spreading the word. Thank you General Manager Pete Bhakta & staff Hunter
