Although I got in at 11pm and really hoped there was a close restaurant, the amenities offered like free snacks, coke, sprite, coffee, tea made it okay. This bed and breakfast is in a really nice Victorian style home. The innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

The inn keeper was so helpful and friendly and the house is awesome. We stayed in the NE loft which was great but all the rooms looked very comfy. The breakfast was outstanding never seen so much food. Would stay there again.

First time staying at Stone Soup. When booking, there were three rooms available. Two had shared bath, one with just a twin bed had a private bath. I chose the twin bed with private bath (bad choice). Most of the Inn is very nice with very nice bedrooms, but mine looked like a room I rented when in college and it was furnished with college student quality […] furniture. There were two light fixtures that did not work (yes I tried new bulbs), heat was on short supply so there was a plug in oil heater and one night I had to even use the oven to heat the room. The very small 3x3 shower leaked on the floor and the windows leaked cold air. This bed and breakfast was great! It was like living in a house with your family. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Just when I thought there was too much food for breakfast, the innkeeper Nate would bring out more. Everything was ready first thing in the morning, and the neighborhood was very quiet. The house is really nice and historic. We stayed in the NW Loft and the room was way cozier than I expected. It was my girlfriend and my first time getting out of town to see a show and the room totally impressed her which was serious brownie points for me. :) Great spot to get away to for a night!

The nicest B&B I've stayed in, structurally. Beautiful rooms, well-cared for--not perfect, still a work in progress, but not overly cluttered and the kind of house it's fun to imagine living in a century ago. Location was lovely and easy to find, though there was some road noise from the nearby highway. The service left a lot to be desired. We were […] in a room that offered a king bed/2 twin beds. As I was staying with a friend, I'd requested the twins. That was not set up before arrival, and there was no one there to greet us on arrival to attend to this (despite their asking me for a specific arrival time so that someone could be present). There were promised "snacks" in the butler's pantry, and other visitors had noted they were ample, but we found only some packs of microwave popcorn and 1 can of soda. Breakfast in the morning was just a typical continental breakfast like you'd find at most hotels--cold cereal, yogurt if you asked for it, coffee in a thermos. There were very nice muffins (only grape jelly) and juice (only orange), however, and the table setting was lovely. The proprietress was sweet and eager to help (when we finally met her at breakfast time, playing rock music in the kitchen) but seemed to be overworked and this made this B&B lack the expected level of personal attention. The house was beautiful and comfortable. The shared bathroom was gorgeous and we didn't run into any problems sharing it. I was called before my stay so that I could tell them when I would be checking in. When I got there that day, no one was at the B&B to let me, and I had to wait 15 minutes on the porch. We had to checkout earlier than breakfast, […] and the innkeeper gave us some muffins for the road. The butler's pantry was well-stocked. I noticed, though, that it had hot water and tea bags, but no mugs. Overall a great deal, comfortable stay. If we're in the area again, we will definitely be back. Inn keeper was extremely helpful and house was nicely kept. could use another outlet and overhead light in loft room but was sufficient for a short stay. once i found the inn it was easy to go back and forth from Lucas stadium. close to circle mall and downtown. thanks for the tlc, Catherine!

The Inn itself is amazing room: beautiful, cozy, clean, comfortable amenity: generous and delicious free breakfast. common room has a lot of games, movies, snacks. I took one star away because the Inn keeper wasn't very on top of things... she was very friendly nevertheless.

If I go back to Indianapolis, I would stay there again especially if I was with my wife. Reasonable rate, nice room, free breakfast, free parking. Free guest pantry stocked with sodas and treats is a plus. This was the first time I stayed at a B&B and I would definitely try it again based on this one.

My stay at the Stone Soup Inn could not have been any better. The manager is really friendly, the room and the common areas are super lovely and pretty. The Old Northside is an interesting neighborhood with lots of character. Other pros: very close to downtown, convenient parking, good breakfast and complimentary snacks throughout the day.

The Stone Soup Inn was wonderful! So much character in this B and B located on a beautiful lot. The caretaker made everything so special, breakfast was too pretty to eat (although we managed). She was also very helpful in helping is find things to do in Indianapolis. Would definitely stay there again.

Aanrader voor iedereen. een appartement van huis weg. Heerlijk buiten op balkon gegeten. staat van onderhoud is uitstekend. Innkeeper erg vriendelijk. Wij hadden de Inn voor ons alleen en t was fantastisch. goede service. alles schoon. Wij komen terug. Vlakbij centrum van indianapolis en in het historisch district. prachtig!!!!
