I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! My only suggestion would be to give more detailed instructions on how to arrive from the airport to the hotel. It is not included in the hotel shuttles and we had a hard time finding out how to take the public transportation. Ended up taking a taxi which cost €40. But it is worth the trouble. Very nice hotel and includes a nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam.

Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

Just returned from another great visit to the Parkhotel in The Hague. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and my room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast room has great food and terrific view of the park. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants and shops and is extremely pedestrian friendly. Used public transport all week - easy, clean, efficient. I look forward to returning the the Parkhotel on my next visit to The Hague!

This is the smallest non airport terminal hotel I have ever stayed. The room is tiny and the bathroom is in the middle of the room! Do not stay there if you are sharing a room with a non spouse. At first I was shocked by the small size and different design of the room. It is anything but a traditional room as the shower and toilet are there to see with movable circular doors. It is a very efficient and space saving design that took getting used to. The staff was super friendly and enthusiastic. "It's like they made a hotel out of my nightmares"
This hotel is -designed- to be the exact opposite of a nice hotel. You know how when you go to a nice hotel they make you feel special and try to accommodate you? This is the opposite of that. Everything about the hotel is designed to dehumanize you and make you feel like cattle. Since I can't attach pics, imagine what it would be like to stay in the […] economy section of the starship Enterprise if it were designed by Orson Wells. The room itself is the smallest I've ever seen. If you are traveling with someone, I hope you're EXTREMELY intimate with them because there is only translucent glass around the toilet and completely transparent glass around the shower. The hotel prides itself on being high tech; they have a remote which controls everything in the room. It was broken most of the time. There is no service or staff to speak of. Not only is there no one to help with your bags, we were specifically not allowed to bring the trolley to our room! There is no restaurant at this hotel, just a convenience store type setup. The breakfast buffet is a lie, you just get to pick from the fruit section of the convenience store and then there's a guy with a bucket of boiled eggs (no, I'm not exaggerating). THERE IS NO SHUTTLE SERVICE TO THE AIRPORT. They will tell you it's just a 5 minute walk. This is not true and the walk involves crossing over busy streets, curbs, grass, gardens, there is no path. "Very clost to AMS airport--walking distance"
Everything was great about this hotel. My only complaint is that the rooms are very small but everything in them was first quality and the location is great--walking distance to the AMS airport. if it was a blowing rain you might get wet. I had never heard of Citizen M Hotels, but needed a room to get a few hours' sleep during an overnight layover in Amsterdam. The hotel is a safe and easy five minute walk from the airport, with well-marked signage. The lobby was small, but ultra modern. Check-in and check-out are self-serve, but the staff is helpful in guiding the uninitiated through […] the process. The room was small, clean and efficient, with an open floor plan (including the toilet and the shower). Most of the facilities (including the lights [which are equipped with a dimmer], the television and the blinds) can be operated with a universal remote control handset. The shower can only be activated by closing the doors which envelop the shower area--not a good choice for the claustrophobic! The bed was large and the linens soft and comfortable. The free Wi-Fi and movies were a nice perk. My stay was very restful; however, given the small size of the room and the spartan furnishings, it would not be a good place for someone who needed a place to get work done. We loved loved loved this place. We didn't want to leave. The design and layout blew our minds. It is about a two minute walk from the airport...when you leave the airport turn right and don't cross the streets. "Economical way to stay at Schiphol"
I wanted a hotel AT the airport, but not at the price of the Sheraton. Excellent value. Loved the efficiency of check-in. The rooms do not have a lot of unused space, but I was really only interested in a good night's sleep. It was easy to walk to the hotel (no shuttle required), and it was possible to take a luggage cart, leave it at the hotel door […] and pick up another one for the return trip. I did not eat breakfast at the hotel, rather I opted to grab a bite at the airport before my flight. Also appreciated the computer center. The hotel was decent, and pretty well located if you want a place outside the city centre; it's a 3 minute walk from the schipol airport/train station so getting places is pretty easy.
