This is a very nice hotel, very clean, very chic and modern. The downsides are that the rooms are very small (especially for an American like me) and the neighborhood is not great. But it's clean, the staff is friendly and it's about 7-10 minute walk to two different MRT/metro stations so if you get a good price as I did, it's a great deal.

My wife and I chose to stay here after visiting the hotel lobby some months ago. The hotel seemed clean and was pitched as boutique style in an increasingly trendy travelers' area on the edge of Little India. The price was good and included a quite good breakfast, drinks each afternoon and the minibar. All of that was as advertised. What was less than […] advertised was that our room was tiny. We went for an "executive room" as it was slightly bigger but still very small and was listed as having a city view. Ours didn't have a window and when I asked about this, I was told that the advertised city view only came with the rooms with windows. Ours had no window , so no view. Kind of a Catch-22 answer and not really helping us. The other problem was noise. The corridor tends to trap noise and the noise travels easily. So we could hear people talking (on phones usually) in the corridor, we could hear clock alarms from other rooms and each time a door was closed, we could hear that too. So the hotel turned out to be less than restful. A shame because the hotel is trying to do well. We probably wouldn't stay there again because of the noise. The pluses are price and location. The service at the Moon is great, including afternoon coffee/tea and conktails from5 to 7. All drinks in room ref. are free. The room is more like a Japanese room with mattress on a platform. Not great for older people, hard to get up and down from. Nice bathroom.

I noticed that everyone staying there was European and I was the only American, and I think that we're just not used to this small size. Pros: the Moon Hotel was very clean. The breakfast was extensive (asian, indian, american foods/cappucino/juice) - very nice. Evening drinks and snacks provided in the cost of the hotel (very good online rate - was much more expensive to pay there). Staff very professional. Cons: Wanted to experience the "real" singapore so chose this indian culture […] / VERY crowded / streets dirty / but - we felt very safe - just didn't like the odors, junk, etc. Don't know if this is really a con but the room was SO small my husband could stand and basically touch both sides of the room - it was about as long as the bed plus about 8 inches at the end. The bathroom/shower was very clean but had a glass wall between the sleeping area and shower/toilet - very unusual - definitely know the person you are with (but I had read that in other reviews so it wasn't a surprise). No fresh air means slightly stale scent. Unventilated small closet/table will cook your electronics if stored in the safe above the refrigerator. Hanger bar in "closet" has no room for hanging clothes. Highly recommended if you are <75kg <1.75M <40 years old. Sufficient space for only me or my wife to move at a time. I was very disappointed in the Moon Hotel, so much so, I changed hotels after just one nights stay. The room was very small, no open windows, the air con wasn't working to its very best. and the hotel corridors had a musty smell, of water, and the bed was lumpy. Not to mention, I didn't like the neighborhood.

Suitable for young couples & business travelers. There wasn't much space in the room but if you only use it for sleeping it is sufficient.
