The Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Sofitel in Vienna has built a great corporate culture. The bed was big and comfortable. They had a ton of movies to choose from in the room at a reasonable price. It is located right at the foot of the main walking street, so it was very covenient.

The Sofitel is an excellent hotel, The location is very good, near most important places, . with the metro station and bus station at the corner. The people is very kind and the food is amazing.The rooms always very clean but the matress vas a little soft for me. I highly recommend it. for everyone.

The Sofitel is beautiful - It was not in the center of Vienna but only a 5-10 minute walk to the Stephansdome main plaza and another 5-10 minutes to Albertina, State Opera House, etc... right on the Danube, a short walk across a bridge to a metro station. Extremely impressed with the service and the hotel. The closest subway is only 5 minutes walk. The staff were all friendly and helpful in a lot of ways. Even when I left, they offered me drinks to wait for my cab. Rooms are clean, and they replenished the minibar drinks regularly.

We have stayed in Vienna several times and always on the Stephansdom side of the small canal. The new Sofitel has chosen to locate on the opposite side and therefore is likely to favorably impact that area of Vienna tremendously. The hotel is rather ordinary on the exterior and very lovely on the interior. The restaurant on the top floor has a 360 degree […] of the city which is amazing. The rooms are done in modern black or white interiors with mirrors providing light and the feeling of spaciousness. I might suggest that the city could do much to enhance the walkway along the canal by cleaning the graffiti and adding plants and attractive places to sit. The hotel is also fully air-conditioned and while we were there the weather was unusually hot so this feature was most appreciated. The hotel has lots of nooks and crannies for sitting to read or do business via the in-house WiFi. We were there for several days and enjoyed our stay very much. A concept hotel which I felt made it rather pretentious. The hotel is nowhere near Stefansdom but uses the colour scheme of the church roof- white, grey and black as it's pallette for decor. My room was white. Everything from the floor to the ceiling was white. I felt like I was in an operating theatre. (I have professional qualifications interior design […] but it didn't 'do' it for me). There were no flowers, not a pictures on the walls. There was some line drawings which looked like a kid with a pecil had been let loose but apparently this was the work of 'some artist'. It was completely paired-down. This hotel is an experience- the experience of being part of an art installation! It is essentially shades of grey and blocks of shape; no curves, no pictures, no plants. The Sofitel is a 5 star luxuary hotel which somehow has very cool modern edge. The service was great, all the staff are friendly and extremely helpful without invading your personal space or privacy. They help with almost every aspect of your trip from making reservations, booking tickets, advising/organising a day out and maps, directions and reccomendations. Obviously room service and dinner is quite expensive because it is a 5 star luxuary hotel. But we had breakfast there twice even though it was 29 euros each because they had more than enough food and it was of such good veriety and quality it was worth it.
