Our stay in Bordeaux was fantastic. Overall, the hotel was fabulous and concierge service was incredible. The room was very clean and all of the staff were helpful and friendly. The spa was lovely and I'd recommend making time to use the pool and steam room. The sauna even had a great view. The rooftop jacuzzi was great and the view of the city was amazing. My only complaints would be that the restaurant was closed, room set up was a little awkward without a bureau and two requests for additional 'milk' with the in-room coffee was ignored. Getting to the hotel was not easy so be prepared to drive around a bit before figuring it out. Location of the hotel was great to do a walking tour of the major landmarks. If you plan to visit any wineries, make reservations ahead of time with the concierge and consider a car service, as driving/finding them is difficult even with a GPS.

Very pleased. The check in was easy and then we dropped our rented car at the train station, right around the corner. The historical center of bordeaux... is just 2 tram statiosn away with a variety of restaurants and night life. The room was cleaned, modern and quiet (we were on the back side). This is not a hotel, it is a hostel. The microwaved food in the lobby is poor quality, the rooms are beyond tiny, the neighbourhood is very questionable. Not a comfortable pleasant place to stay. Duvets in July when it is 35C!! No top sheet, no facecloth. Breakfast buffet high on carbs and low on protein. It is a pretty expensive stay for what you receive. accueil chaleureux, chambre très petite (difficile de faire le tour du lit pr atteindre le bureau (mince plan de travail envahie par les rideaux), donne sur le parking, toute petite cour intérieure donc chambre très sombre, la chasse d'eau marche 1x/3, et la salle de bain conserve des souvenirs de mes prédécesseurs, juste 2 prises sur le bureaux, ronde […] du veilleur de nuit les weekends, son chien aboie toute la nuit (ayant un chien je suis assez tolérante sur ce point, donc si je le cite c'est que c'est assez exagéré), murs très fins : discutions et autres du couple du dessus, et match de sport ds la chambre d'à côté jusqu'à 3h du mate, avec le "do not disturb" sur ma porte on m'a réveillée pr être sûr de ne pas devoir faire la chambre, lors d'une commande d'en cas, changement du plat au hasard de la carte sans avertissement car en rupture... hotel aussi situé dans les quartiers chauds (sex shop & co), au dessus d'un club échangiste et d'un hammam mixte. A part les plats micro-onde de l'hôtel et les kebabs, très peu de restauration, coûteuses brasseries indigestes à la gare (ex au printemps : 8.5€ pr un avocat marron/noir, sauce cocktail et crevettes en boite). Pts positifs : Proximité de la gare/10mn, 2 supérettes/5mn (Carrefour & Spar), ligne de tram/7mn, personnel prévenant. Bordeaux magnifique ! Receptionen är öppen 24h så du kan checka-in vid vilken tid du vill, det var ett stort plus för oss. Hotellet är lätt att hitta med bil, nära till parkering och tågstation. Ibis-kjeden er litt som Thon hotels, ikke noe spesielt og helt ok. Jeg valgte å bo her en natt fordi det var praktisk for meg i forhold til nærhet til tog og leiebil. Det beste med dette hotellet er at det er billig, rent og pent og har gratis WIFI - veldig bra. Men hvis jeg skulle bodd i Bordeaux ville jeg nok heller bodd i gamlebyen, litt koseligere […] der rett og slett. Dette er ikke et dårlig hotell altså, bra til å være såpass billig. Men tror at det finnes flere Ibis i Bordeaux, så kan være greit å sjekke ut disse ifht beliggenhet. Read more
