"Good hotel. Consider location"
Great for touring. Not too many dinner options in walking distance. Recommended to stay closer to downtown or airport if on business or one-night stayGenuine Expedia guest review
"nice hotel, historic place with great Boston views"
This inn is not elegant/fancy, but is clean, neat and comfortable. Easy to get to and located in a truly historic place - old Boston/Charlestown Naval Shipyard, home of the USS Constitution. Offer reduced rate parking (no in/out privileges) in a local garage - a very big deal since parking in Boston area is not easy to find, and usually very expensive. […] The local YMCA is in the same (large) building, so bring your workout, swim, or sauna gear since you can use all those facilities when you stay. Most of the old naval yard has been updated and converted into condos, apartments and Mass General Hospital facilities. Well worth walking around the naval yard and touring the Constitution. Fabulous views of Boston from the nearby harbor and docks. Short (15 -20 min) walk to downtown (Boston Garden, Statehouse, Beacon Hill, Boston Common, etc.) via floating gates that serve as locks to let boats enter the Charles River from the main harbor. Be sure to try a fresh brewed coffee and a superb pistachio nut muffin at the local Tedeschi store for breakfast/snack. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A good visit"
The hotel was located near very nice walking areas. We couldn't check in until 3 which was a litle late but enjoyed walking in Boston very much.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pretty Good"
Good place to stay for leaving out of Logan. Clean, quiet, free wifi and also a printer in the lobby for printing boarding passes and such. Overnight parking only $6! Nice restaurant / tavern close by with a great view of the city skyline!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Plain, but comfortable"
The hotel is older, and the other side of Boston, but that allowed us to see the USS Constitution and museum, and Bunker Hill. There is a free bus a couple of blocks away that takes you downtown. The hotel let us leave our luggage the second day after cking out and come back and get it about 8pm. That really helped us out. DGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great price, get what you pay for"
The price was very good for a Boston hotel. Location was a bit dark at night without convenient access to the T. I am a business traveller, so it wasn't a very convenient spot at all. The hotel is dated. Had some trouble with the toilet during my stay (though it was fixed in a reasonable amount of time). One elevator, which was slow so had to wait. […] Again, great price so if cost is most important, worth checking out. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice place to stay in Boston"
A stone-throw off from the USS Constitution Ship and the Waterfront, it is located in Charlestown, 3 mins walking from the boat who carries to the waterfront/Atlantic ave/ State str. People are king and helpful. The only problem is to have a breakfast around...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"dirty hotel"
dirty place. Dirty linens. They did not change the linens. Lot of hair in the beds.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value"
This hotel is very good value. It is not far from the Freedom trail. There is a free shuttle that runs from near the hotel to the north station. The hotel could do a better job of providing information to guests. There was just a crudely drawn map of some local features (including restaurants) at the check in desk. If the hotel provided something better […] and more complete that would be useful. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect for the price"
We chose this hotel because it was close to TD Garden but also because it was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area, including Holiday Inn Express. We weren't expecting luxury but something clean and decent. And that's what we got. Room was clean, had a mini fridge, tv and comfy bed and the staff was helpful. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to the North End"
My only complaint was that the room was way too hot. The heat wasn't on, and we had the windows open, but the room did not cool down. Otherwise, the room was clean and had conveniences like the refrigerator, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What hotel is This?"
If you are expecting a pleasant economical hotel in historic Boston you will find yourself at the "Y." The Constitution Inn is a YMCA hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ok. Not worht the price per night."
Hotel was ok. Don't think it was worth the price per night we paid at all. We were there for 2 nigts and the cleaning crew did not leave clean towels. No room at the sink in the bathroom at all. Closest attraction to walk to is the USS Constitution. It is a ways to walk to get "into Boston" to do anything. It really is on the "outskirts" of Boston.Genuine Expedia guest review

"brilliant stay"
Staff were very friendly, room was perfect for the overnight stay, lovely pool and gym. Hotel was very clean and fresh, free wifi was definitely a bonus. Nicely away from the buzz of the town, but still within walking distance. Perfect for a short stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"stay away!"
This hotel does not look like the photos online. The place is dumpy and nowhere near worth the price we paid to stay there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Hidden Gem..."
I was surprised upon arrival that the hotel was associated with the YMCA but that turned out to be a bonus! Lap pool, aerobics class, weight room - an entire YMCA facility all available for hotel guest use. The rooms were clean, cozy and a little outdated but completely comfortable for me and my two teenage sons. The surrounding shipyard area was quaint […] and clean and very safe with cute little places to eat. We ended up ordering in pizza and calzones which were delicious! Parking was only a few dollars at a lot about a block away. If I were staying longer in Boston, I would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Freedom Trail and Constitution very covenient"
All in all, pretty good. It was straightened and cleaned each day. We found we had to leave notes for regular coffee and for towels that had not been replaced, but the cleaning staff did respond to our notes. One of the desk staff was a little impatient, but not exactly rude. The others were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for our […] plans - the parking was fairly convenient and the comfort was good. We made good use of the microwave and fridge which were nice amenities. It would have been nice to have a little restaurant, but we found reasonably priced shops nearby for breakfast and lunch options. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrific hotel!"
Constitution Inn was absolutely terrific - it had a really nice room and a full gym (it's adjacent to YMCA), and was in a wonderful location. Unfortunately, it's a bit far to walk to the T, but we managed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Family Vacation"
We took our kids to see Fenway park and the freedom trail. The location and cost for parking can't be beat. But that is about all this place has going for it. The shuttle they advertise on their website is actually the city transits. The pool was scheduled for classes the whole time so we couldn't get in. Our room wasn't vacuumed and was really dirty. […] The staff were very rude. This is a place for those who need a cheap hotel in the city and don't care about the dirt and service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Service is not good"
The location is not very convenient but the neighborhood is beautiful. The service is not good. They didn't take out the clothes left by other customers when we checked in and on the 2nd day, they forgot to clean my room !Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK location; I expected a bit more for the money"
The hotel is in the old Boston Navy Yard; so a lot of randomly placed buildings and no adjacent parking. Parking $6 with voucher a 5min walk away. Hotel room is clean and large enough; comfortable kingsize bed. The bathroom was clean, but outdated with a wall mounted sink and no counter space. I think we would have done better driving in from Route […] 1A somewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The Worst Hotel In Boston"
If I had more time and space to write this review it would be 10 pages long.... Overall, please do not stay there unless you absolutely have to (due to price). The security in the building is horrible. The person at the desk was very rude. When I checked in she didn't even verify who I was, just gave me a key. (She did the same to another person who […] checked in). The room itself was absolutely horrible. The vents had tons of dust. My bed had no pillowcases on it when I entered and the bed was dirty. When I called to ask the lady downstairs to change it, she was very rude in letting me know she was the only person there and everyone had left. After I pushed the issue she finally said she would go to the closet and get them for me. When I came downstairs she had the pillowcases just sitting there (which were ALSO dirty). I asked for a fresh set, when I showed here the stains she acted as if I was bothering her. I attempted to take a shower only to find hair in the shower. That did it for me. I immediately left and checked into the Marriott Copley. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Constitution Inn Boston, MA"
This hotel was perfect for our stay. We wanted to spend a few days of our spring break in a different city. This hotel was comfortable, small but comfortable. The Y is right downstairs, so if you're one that NEEDS to get a workout daily you'll like this hotel. The only downside is that it's not in the heart of Boston, in fact it's in the Naval Ship […] Yard district. BUT there's a FREE shuttle that will take you to Boston, though at night we ended up taking a cab back to the hotel ($8 including tip). As someone who has a life in NYC, I was disappointed at how early everything closes. Otherwise it was fun and relaxing stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet, friendly and historic"
The area was quiet yet convenient. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool in the YMCA fiitness center was a great benefit of staying at the Constitution Inn. There's a bakery around the corner that serves a fine breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Constitution Inn in Boston - near Navy Shipyar"
At first you may feel like it's part of the YMCA and the rooms will be low in quality, but it actually uses the funds you pay for to help out the YMCA and Veterans. It does have a good quality gym attached which you can go to, and is about 1 mile walking from the North End which is littered with excellent Italian restaurants and bakeries. I recommend […] this hotel to anyone looking to stay near the medical center area. I walked to Massachussets General Hospital in about 20 minutes. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Maybe"
This hotel is cheap and clean and fairly comfortable. However, On the night we stayed they lost power- not briefly,-it was off when we got there at 9pm and still off the next morning. There was not a blanket on the bed, only sheets and no hot water for the morning shower, or ability to charge phone etc. So rather annoying overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Positive and negative"
Positive: Very cheap. Clean and big room. Most of things you need (TV, internet, fridge, microwave) Negative: Thin wall. You can't keep hot water in the bathtub. Isolated location (no grocery stores or restaurants around the hotel) Not good public transportaion (you have to use partner shuttle)Genuine Expedia guest review
