"Good location to the TD Garden."
Overall very good. The staff was helpful. Clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but there is a YMCA that has a full size gym and pool on the premises.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value for the money"
While this hotel is a little off the beaten path, we found the location to be very convenient. There is a shuttle that picks you up one block away and takes you to north station where you can take the subway almost anywhere in the city. The ferry is also fairly close, and it is just a short ride to the aquarium. I found the hotel to be clean and the […] staff to be helpful, although some staff members were a little rough around the edges. We enjoyed the YMCA facilities being on-site. I enjoyed the exercise equipment, and me and my five-year-old had fun in the pool. Our room was equipped with a full-size refrigerator and microwave, which was helpful in heating up our leftovers. Although it would have been nice if our kitchenette had some dishes and cutlery, I was able to get some plastic utensils and cups from the front desk. Overall, the hotel wasn't anything fancy and could use some updating. Nevertheless, based on the great rate that I got for this room, I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay here if you just want a place to crash"
Had to move once because the BED had a large wet spot underneath the DRY comforter. We were initially offered to have the mattress overturned because we were toldthere were no available rooms in the entire six story hotel. We were moved after we told them no one would be sleeping on that bed. Then our keys repeatedly stopped working. Hotel was broken […] down and only a couple of employees were pleasant over almost the whole week we were there. The location is cool, near the old navy yard and further from downtown Boston which we liked but I will never stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Checked in and immediately CHECKED OUT!"
Although conveniently located and great price, I had to pull the guest out and put them up at the Millenium Hotel....room was not clean and stains on the mattress. Sorry, I love Charlestown, but would not stay at this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad but not great either"
After arriving on a red eye flight, the Constitution Inn did let us check-in early without having to pay extra, which was a plus! The biggest problem with our stay is lack of sleep because of noises. We stayed on the top floor next to the stairwell and heard the stomping of people constantly coming up and down the stairs all throughout the night along […] with very loud and startling banging noises that sounded like the slamming of doors all throughout the night as well. It was very annoying. The fridge in the room also made loud gurgling sounds and we ended up having to unplug it. Since it was the winter and the Inn runs a two-pipe system, the heater could only be turned on and it got very hot in the room. The staff were nice about it and brought us fans and we cracked open a few windows but it would have been nice to have A/C as an option. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to the garden"
It was a perfect hotel for a one night stay - just somewhere to stay overnight. Went to the Garden for a concert and there is a free shuttle a block away that goes directly there every 15 or 30 minutes - which worked out perfectly. Parking was $10 (with validation from the hotel) and the lot was about 2 blocks away, so a walk, but worth saving the […] money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel for voyagers"
I like very much the location, 10 minutes by Ferry from downtown, and enjoy a lot the workout and swimming facilities!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location on a budget"
Good location within walking distance of all major sights and attractions. Very clean and the price was reasonable. The rooms with the kitchenettes are useful if travelling on a budget and the fitness facilities are excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Downtown"
Room was acceptable for the night, but obviously maintaining the rooms was not high on the list of priorities for the owners. Some cleanliness issues.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Some things unknown"
As we pulled up we were unsure we had the correct location because the sign said YMCA. At checkin we asked for rooms together. They gave us two numbers next to each other but when we got there one room was at one end of the hall the other at the other. The rooms were not exceptional but suited our needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a great bargain and I'm glad I found it. Neighborhood a little sketchy. Not far from downtown but not easily accessible by public transit. Cabs don't take credit cards unless you ask the desk to call a Boston cab, which they will do. Co-located with a YMCA so full workout facilities and 25 yard swimming, all included.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just right for the price"
The hotel was not a wonderful as it appeared to be on line but it was just fine. The gym made up for any short comings.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Inexpensive a bit out of the way"
We loved our stay at the constitution inn. I brought my two young kids for our trip to the museums and aquarium. It was convenient to take the water taxi right to the aquarium and a nice little park just a block away. The hotel was nothing special but was clean and comfortable. It was a little inconvenient having to take a taxi everywhere as there was […] no T stop, but we got the Boston trolly tour on off thing and there was a stop right at the USS Constitution so we used that as our daily transport and taxi and T at night. Safe neighborhood and very little traffic. Never used the pool or YMCA facilities, but will try that next time. You get what you pay for here. A nice quiet room, even had a kitchenette no pots or pans but fridge worked, in a quiet safe neighborhood, just nothing fancy and a little out of the way but priced right. The room I stayed at was an addict room that looked like a studio with everything (fridge -free of charge-, microwave, and stove.) I loved it! The receptionist was not the best I encountered as she was not very clear on some of the questions I had, but she remained professional and welcoming! The parking fee is only ten dollars, which is great considering […] the competition! You can also part in the street if you leave early. The bad part for the parking structure is not that you have to walk three minutes to get into it, but that it is a little confusing on how to get into it. I wish they had a small map at the reception. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Unclean Bathroom and Poor Transportation"
When we arrived, the woman sitting at the desk did not greet us or welcome us to the hotel. She simply asked "name?" It was very rude, as this was the first time we had arrived. The bathroom trash bin was not cleaned out--there was a sanitary wrapper sitting on the rim. Also, the room was uncomfortable--blankets were thin, no comforters even though […] it was the middle of winter. We were told there was a free shuttle from the hotel to North Station. This is true but we tried to get the shuttle at 8:30pm on a weekday night and waited for an hour in the cold before any shuttle arrived. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Like staying a in rooming house"
Unfriendly staff, no manager on duty, parking is part of hospital parking up the street, the pool is closed to guests most of the time, rooms are dusty and equipment not in the best condition. It was so hot in the room with the heat off, we had to open a window. Hallways smell weird. The lobby floors were dirty and drafty with no where to sit. No really […] close dining. It really ruined our stay in boston. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
There was no parking at all. It was very inconvenient to get to. It is attached to a YMCA and shares pool and exercise room with the Y. We ended up not staying because of the difficulty parking loading and unloading. Didn't feel safe leaving my car in the area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We came here to relax. Upon entering the hotel for check-in, they told us we were not on their list and that they were completely sold out. We showed them our reservation, and they continued looking. (in our heads, we were thinking "Oh no! The entire city is booked!") After realizing that they put us in for the wrong date, they apologized and said they […] could put us in a king room. Whew! The room was really nice. Better than expected, actually. We were on the top floor, with a view to the harbor and the city. It was nice and quiet, the room was spacious. Came with a full sized fridge, microwave, stove, and sauna-like heating. We turned the heater off, and the room was still nice and warm. The hotel is attached to a YMCA. Nearby (within a 20 second walk) there was a cafe and a deli, so you can get your breakfast or lunch. There was also a fancy wine bar nearby as well. Everything is within walking distance. The U.S.S Constitution was stationed right near the hotel, and the bridge to get back into downtown Boston was nearby as well. We walked everywhere through Boston, mainly because it was snowing and because finding parking is difficult. Advice on parking: FREE STREET PARKING ON THE WEEKEND!!!!!! (there is a parking garage that charges under twelve for the weekday) Overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay, with the exception of having a heart attack when they overlooked our reservation. "A good it for the storm"
The stay was great, the front desk was helpful. We stayed during the storm and since the inn doesnt offer food we struggled to find food. The front desk was very helpful in assisting us to find restuarants that deliver however the restaurants were not cooperating. Parking was convenient and cheap. We requested a King and received 2DBL but that was okay. […] The overall stay was perfect for our purposes of going to the TD Garden. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Wow... what a cool place! During warmer months its only few minute walk over the bridge to the North End... and its in a beautiful location at the docks, very romantic. The rooms are clearly worn, but hey, THERE'S A KITCHEN AND FULL SIZED FRIDGE! Awesome if you like that sort of thing. "An Interesting, Out-of-the-Way Hostelry"
The idea behind the Constitution Inn was a happy surprise -- the lodgings are attached to a full-service YMCA fitness facility, and the organization exists to assist military personnel, active and retired. The staff was most helpful. Our room was delightful. Our only complaint is the rather minimal bathroom facilities: tiny sink, virtually no horizontal […] space, VERY noisy exhaust fan that could not be turned off when the light was on. Despite that, we would come again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, price, and amenities."
YMCA facilities, hospital shuttle, and parking garage were great amenities, once we understood how they worked. I recommend that you provide clear written descriptions and directions about them at front desk and bulletin board or in handout. "nice hotel, historic place with great Boston views"
This inn is not elegant/fancy, but is clean, neat and comfortable. Easy to get to and located in a truly historic place - old Boston/Charlestown Naval Shipyard, home of the USS Constitution. Offer reduced rate parking (no in/out privileges) in a local garage - a very big deal since parking in Boston area is not easy to find, and usually very expensive. […] The local YMCA is in the same (large) building, so bring your workout, swim, or sauna gear since you can use all those facilities when you stay. Most of the old naval yard has been updated and converted into condos, apartments and Mass General Hospital facilities. Well worth walking around the naval yard and touring the Constitution. Fabulous views of Boston from the nearby harbor and docks. Short (15 -20 min) walk to downtown (Boston Garden, Statehouse, Beacon Hill, Boston Common, etc.) via floating gates that serve as locks to let boats enter the Charles River from the main harbor. Be sure to try a fresh brewed coffee and a superb pistachio nut muffin at the local Tedeschi store for breakfast/snack. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good place to stay for leaving out of Logan. Clean, quiet, free wifi and also a printer in the lobby for printing boarding passes and such. Overnight parking only $6! Nice restaurant / tavern close by with a great view of the city skyline!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Plain, but comfortable"
The hotel is older, and the other side of Boston, but that allowed us to see the USS Constitution and museum, and Bunker Hill. There is a free bus a couple of blocks away that takes you downtown. The hotel let us leave our luggage the second day after cking out and come back and get it about 8pm. That really helped us out. DGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great price, get what you pay for"
The price was very good for a Boston hotel. Location was a bit dark at night without convenient access to the T. I am a business traveller, so it wasn't a very convenient spot at all. The hotel is dated. Had some trouble with the toilet during my stay (though it was fixed in a reasonable amount of time). One elevator, which was slow so had to wait. This hotel is very good value. It is not far from the Freedom trail. There is a free shuttle that runs from near the hotel to the north station. "Perfect for the price"
We chose this hotel because it was close to TD Garden but also because it was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area, including Holiday Inn Express. "Ok. Not worht the price per night."
Hotel was ok. Don't think it was worth the price per night we paid at all. We were there for 2 nigts and the cleaning crew did not leave clean towels. No room at the sink in the bathroom at all. Closest attraction to walk to is the USS Constitution. It is a ways to walk to get "into Boston" to do anything. It really is on the "outskirts" of Boston.Genuine Expedia guest review
