This is a great little boutique hotel for an overnight business stay. Love the mid century modern look. Stayed for a very packed spring break weekend so most hotels in downtown/ south beach have nightly rates through the roof. This hotel did not yet it was incredibly convenient and spacious. Would definitely recommend if you have a mode of transportation!

From the staff to the comfort of the room-no complaints. We were close to the arena and downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and well maintained. Outdoor area for breakfast was nice as the pool area. Rates were good and would definately stay again.

Very clean, staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was cold foods, but plenty for us. Although its on US1, it wasn't too noisy. I was glad to be out of the "party zone" of South Beach! Easy parking on site. We will definitely stay here the next time we're in Miami. Not too many restaurants in the area, but there's a Publix supermarket close by.

This hotel is a very accommodating property. It has free parking, breakfast and wifi, which helps it make up for the lack of AC in the room (fan only and windows don't open). There really isn't much around it, so you'll find yourself driving to the beach, to dinner, etc. Perk of the hotel is that it is easy to get to South Beach and North Beach. I had seen this hotel on the tv show "Hotel Impossible" and booked out of curiosity. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed and even a refrigerator! I loved the pool area and the courtyard was a very nice place to relax and hang out. The front desk lady was very polite and helpful. My only complaint is that it was not as close to shopping […] and restaurants as implied on the website. We had a rental car, so that was not a big deal and spent our free time in South Beach just a few minutes drive away. I would recommend asking for a room on the pool side as the front rooms are on a busy street with traffic noise if that is an issue for light sleepers. We did find it weird that we were told to call the front desk if we needed anything, however our room didn't have a phone, but our kids room did. I saw this hotel on TV and it looked inviting. I was so pleased with Jerry the front desk girl who was warm and inviting over the phone and in person. I was only staying in Miami for one night and did not want to stay at the regular airport hotels. The shuttle service to and from the hotel is a nice touch, but the cost is $15 each way, not $10 as listed. Note that you need to meet the driver at a particular door within a particular terminal, so you might have to walk a ways from your arrival gate. […] The hotel is situated in an area that appears to be in the process of gentrification but is sitll on the border between rough and chic. My room was decent - clean bed, ample space in the closet, shower and bathroom small but just fine for me. The hostess was very friendly. Based on the reviews on the internet I made sure to check my bed for insects and found absolutely none and a pristine mattress. The floor is tile and can be cold on bare feet - wear your slippers. The hotel is a on a busy street and the complimentary earplugs are a blessing. The closest local restaurant is less than a 5 minute walk but you have to pass a liquor store that seems to attract panhandlers and loiterers - not the safest feeling for a solo female traveler, but ok if you are aware. The restaurant and hotel have an agreement for discounts for hotel guests. Breakfast was simple but the outdoor eating area was fabulous and was a nice place to begin the day. This is my second time staying here. I chose this hotel because of its convenient distance from other points of interest related to Caribbean Carnival events. This area is the BEST for access to South Beach and Sun Life Stadium--right in the middle! The additional requests I made beyond the basic reservation through Expedia were accommodated without […] hassle. I had to have a package delivered to the hotel and I was able to retrieve it from the front desk without any problems. The upgrades to the outside courtyard where breakfast is served were certainly appreciated, and I like the way staff remembered me from my last stay a year ago. I only wish that we had more control of our room temperature. Even with the ceiling fan cut off (which is remote-controlled --> a PLUS), the central A/C made the room quite cold at night. But I would happily stay here for another trip to Carnival because of the staff service, the MIMO architecture of the building, and the pretty blue lights outside of my room at night. :-) Read more

Old hotel, well kept but parking was a nightmare. With check in they said if you need anything just hit 0 on your phone, there was no phone in the room. The closet was larger than the bathroom, the shower curtain stuck to you the whole time you took a shower. Was only there one night, bed was comfortable but not much else.

In town for a board exam at Miami-Dade College medical campus. Everything was close to this hotel, the school, the causeway to the beach, downtown, fashion district, several Publix', Starbucks, DD and a little neighborhood store next door for smaller stuff like soda, lottery etc. The neighborhood was not really for walking at night, but we felt fine […] at the hotel. The office is 24/7 so the place is lit up and people are always up. The room was very clean, the mattress was comfy, very cute decor, hot shower and the fridge in the room was a surprise and A+. The pool was 24/7 so we swam both nights late and it was great! The girl at the front desk for our late check-in (wed) was really nice and really helpful, everyone we met was courteous.This was an excellent find for the price, location, free wi-fi and free parking!!! I only have one complaint and it can't really be fixed-the noise. Biscayne is route 1, very busy day and night and you can hear it in the room. This would NOT keep me from coming back to this hotel every year. The ice cold a/c and tv (nice flat screen above the bed) help drown it out. We loved the ceiling fan!! Okay staying for one night, but so noisy that my daughter couldn't sleep. They must do something about the shower: its week and almost impossible to balance the temperature. I would not stay here again. There is no sound insulation from room to room, you can hear every word, every footstep, every flush of your neighbor's toilet!. Every day we heard other guest complaining about the noise to the front desk. is not really downtown. It's in a fairly rough neighborhood. There are no shuttles to and from the airport or port […] as promised. . The shower felt like it was going to rip my skin off. They came right away and adjusted it. Unfortunately, it was adjusted down to a trickle. It didn't really matter though because there was no hot water. I had to wash my hair in the sink. Nice park across the street for an early morning walk or jog. Two interesting restaurants within a few steps of property and a small and a bit shady convenience store right next to the hotel. Cons:Way older property, although clean definitely shows it's age. Rooms need some attention, our shower handles missing the hot and cold buttons. Soft spot in the floor that had something sharp sticking out. Very loud, so much so that ear plugs are left in the rooms, you will need them. Rooms small especially bathroom small fridge but no coffee maker or microwave.. Again a nice place for an overnight stop or a family on a budget spending a few days. We selected this hotel based on having seen a TV program where this hotel was restructured, modernized, and made operationally successful. The guest reviews we also read were good in most cases so that supported our selection. Lobby was clean and reception staff very friendly and helpful. During Expedia reservation, we asked for and got a pool side room which nicely reduced the outside road noise from the Biscayne Blvd; we also enjoyed a private balcony. King bed was nice, sheets pleasant & clean. Small bathroom with only a shower (no tub) but very adequate for our needs. Breakfast was included in room rate and served on a nice patio; continental style buffet food & coffee were good. Had a nice large flat panel TV & enjoyed WiFi Internet access in the room. Used a nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel staff for dinners as there were not many restaurants in the area from which to choose. The food & service there were excellent and they gave us 10% discount with the New Yorker room key card. Would definitely stay there again & recommend it to others. Read more
