"Perfectly situated"
The B&B was very Victorian, nicely appointed, and Joe was super nice! We were a little late to breakfast and had to sit in a separate nook - didn't get to experience the "family style" dinning. Felt like the "kids table". Bath towels were musty but we got fresh ones.

Your hosts, Joe and Joanne run this lovely B&B in way that makes you feel welcome but gives you privacy. They serve a delicious breakfast in a very charming house by the sea.

We needed a quick getaway and wanted to go to the beach. We found Beauclaire's and really enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Hailey's Cottage. We could see the ocean and beach and had three big windows to give us plenty of sunlight. The fireplace was very nice for the cold night. Joe, the owner, was incredibly friendly, helpful and a fantastic cook. The house was quaint and comfortable with a porch swing, sitting room, porch and Victorian feel.

"perfect weekend"
B&B's never appealed to me or my girlfriend; close quarters, thin walls, and the possibility of a disagreeable proprietor overseeing it all while we smiled through a mouthful of undercooked eggs and overcooked toast at breakfast, chasing it w thin coffee. So we were apprehensive about our stay when Congress hall turned out to be booked. But from the get-go Joe and his aunt Barbara allayed all our fears; they were kind and funny, helpful and available without being obtrusive. Breakfast was delicious, the other people staying there were fun and interesting and we were both extremely sorry to leave. Can't wait to return!

"Cape May B&B Beauclaire"
Beautiful old home -- clean and well-maintained. The 2 third floor rooms are not for every guest -- and Brandon's certainly not for us: the sloping ceilings caused a lot of head bumps; teeny tiny closet; tiny wicker chest; minimal lighting (bathroom lacked a decent mirror and had no light over the mirror.) Would prefer flexible breakfast schedule -- 9:00 AM is way too late if you have places to go. Food was excellent.

"Overnight in Cape May"
Unfortunately, we didn't arrive until almost 3am the night of our stay, however, the proprietors were more than helpful in arranging for our after hours arrival. It would have been nice to have been given a later check out time though, since we arrived so late. For the short time that we were there though, the property was very enjoyable, comfortable, clean, and quaint. Would definitely return.

"A good birding stop: Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast"
Cape May, NJ, is famous world-wide for fabulous birding opportunities. Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast is a comfortable, convenient location to serve as a base to explore the area. Breakfast is tasty, and the ambience of the Victorian building makes the visitor feel instantly at home.

"Very lovely b&b"
I stayed in Haley's cottage. It had a king size bed, lovely sitting area with reclining wingback chairs, a fireplace, ocean view, tv, private bath. Everything was true to the Victorian nature. Joe, the innkeeper was very pleasant and helpful with anything. Breakfast was good, conservation is great, too. Beauclaires is close to a lot of attractions including the beach, I walked everywhere during my stay. I would stay here again.

"SO CLOSE TO THE BOARDWALK AND BEACH!"
Joe really set the tone when he welcomed us. He was so laid-back that we settled right in and it was clear the other guests felt the same. You really need to spend a great night's rest on the wonderful mattresses in the rooms. Our one-night stay far exceeded expectations and I really would love to return for an extended visit.

"Charming, Comfortable, Close to the Beach"
07/29/15 Carolyn Belle L Langhorne PA, United States
This was the second time we've stayed at Beauclaire's Bed and Breakfast, and it won't be the last. There is so much to commend this place: only 1/2 block to Cape May's beautiful beach and boardwalk area; convenient off-street parking; only 1 1/2 blocks to the Washington Street Mall's shopping and restaurants; a gracious, well-maintained, true Victorian home; Joe's wonderful hospitality and generous breakfasts (and good coffee!); the interesting clientele this place attracts, always making for interesting breakfast conversation; air conditioning throughout the house, with in-room thermostats for temperature and fan control, plus a ceiling fan; just 1/2 block from Columbia Avenue, with its many lovely Victorian homes.

"The best B&B to stay at and only a 1/2 a block away from the beach"
07/28/15 Joe F Basking Ridge, New Jersey
This was our second time at Beauclaire's and Joe and JoAnn don't disappoint in every aspect of our stay. The most important thing about Beauclaire's is that it again felt like we were family. The breakfasts are wonderful and delicious and in the afternoon, JoAnn's chocolate chip cookies were just what we needed after we got back from the beach. We will always stay at Beauclaire's when we vaction at Cape May Joe Filep

Really nice BnB. 1/2 block to ocean, 1.5 blocks to the shopping area. Fantastic front porch to "people watch"! A/C and ceiling fans in rooms! Breakfast is fantastic. Joe is a wonderful InnKeeper and makes you feel right at home! I will be a repeat customer here!

"Excellent Location"
07/24/15 Mike C Ballston Spa, New York
We just returned from six fantastic days in Cape May,staying at Beauclaires. Joe is the best breakfast cook in all of Cape May, or if not he is at least in the top five. The location is excellent, you are near the beach, restaurants, shopping and a short drive to Sunset Beach which has the most beautiful sunsets. I can't say enough about the Inn, it was friendly, comfortable and again I'll say the Breakfast will hold you over till an early dinner. If you are a veteran, bring your DD214. The beach is free but you'll need to gevt a pass at the court house which is also walkable. I do believe that you will enjoy staying at Beauclaires. I know we are looking forward to our next trip there.

"Charming Cape May B&B in great location"
07/23/15 Rebecca G
Joe greeted us immediately when we arrived for check in and made us feel at home. Perfect location for easy access to all that Cape May has to offer... quick walk to beach, dining, shops and lovely neighborhoods. We booked late for peak season and the only room available was on the top floor. While charming, clean and cozy, we would select another room for a future visit. Lots of stair climbing and some head bumping in the attic room. We took full advantage of the porch swing and rockers. Small, charming B&B with a warm and helpful owner.

"Beauclaire B&B Cape May"
07/22/15 Paul W Milton, Florida
Joe was a great host. The room was big, had a fridge, bathroom was nice. Tall ceilings. Breakfast was a full meal. Joe stayed and gave us advice on the town and where to go. He lives there year round so he knows his way around. The location is perfect. Near the ocean and the center of town. Parking not an issue.

"Excellent location. Great host."
07/21/15 DickDBiker
A great location for folks like us who want to park the car and walk. Breakfasts are tasty, the hosts accommodating, the on-site parking is good. The only negative was being in a third floor room with low ceilings. Even my five-foot-six-inch wife banged her head on the ceiling a couple of times. Adjusting the shower was an engineering challenge, but there was plenty of hot water and clean towels. Overall I'd rate this as a good place with tasty breakfasts, comfortable beds, friendly hosts, good parking, and in a convenient location.

"Our 3rd visit back to Beauclaire's with and without our grown kids."
07/18/15 Marlene8992 Brooklyn, New York
We keep coming back to Beauclaire's, and will probably do the same next summer, because it's a great place to relax and unwind. Joe has been very nice to us, great location - close to the beach, shops and restaurants, breakfast is always a nice social gathering, rooms and Inn are clean, comfortable and quiet, the porch swing is our favorite spot. On-site parking is a plus.

"I have now stayed at Beauclarie's B&B for the 5th year straight."
07/17/15 Nancy B Columbia, Maryland, United States
Joe's (owner) hospitality is the reason I keep coming back. Always willing to go out of his way to make sure his gurests enjoy their stay. Always willing to help with restaurants and things to do in the area. The location is great - right by the beach as well as close to the Washington mall. Various rooms to choose from. Beach chairs for guests and a refrigerator to keep things cold. I love the porch with the rockers - love to have coffee and play games on the porch and just relax. Joe also always has a little treat in the afternoon for his guests. I love Cape May and I love this B&B.

"Relaxing, comfortable, home-like atmosphere"
07/16/15 Caryl F Metuchen, United States
We've stayed in several B&Bs in Cape May, many very nice, but we didn't feel 100% "comfortable". Innkeeper Joe is low-key and pleasant, like a friend of a friend who likes to have people stay at his home. We've encountered other innkeepers who push certain restaurants or activities. Joe was not at all like that. He offered suggestions but also *listened* to where you've been and what you like to do. Breakfast was good, and he paid attention to special dietary needs (no glutens). The place is clean and well kept, with the typical Victorian tchotchkes. And it's less than a block from the beach, a couple blocks from the mall area. Good off-street parking. All in all, a good value for an area with lots of choices, many of which are very expensive or not what you expect they'll be.
