"Nice Bed & Breakfast, close to shopping."
My husband and I went in March for his birthday. We enjoyed the breaskfast very much. The owners are very warm & down to earth. We enjoyed the stay there very much.Genuine Expedia guest review
We needed a quick getaway and wanted to go to the beach. We found Beauclaire's and really enjoyed our time there. We stayed in Hailey's Cottage. We could see the ocean and beach and had three big windows to give us plenty of sunlight. The fireplace was very nice for the cold night. Joe, the owner, was incredibly friendly, helpful and a fantastic cook. […] The house was quaint and comfortable with a porch swing, sitting room, porch and Victorian feel. We loved staying at the bed and breakfast we had a wonderful time talking with the owners and they were so helpful. The breakfasts were terrific and we would definitely go back. We love the area even in the winter!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
B&B's never appealed to me or my girlfriend; close quarters, thin walls, and the possibility of a disagreeable proprietor overseeing it all while we smiled through a mouthful of undercooked eggs and overcooked toast at breakfast, chasing it w thin coffee. So we were apprehensive about our stay when Congress hall turned out to be booked. But from the […] get-go Joe and his aunt Barbara allayed all our fears; they were kind and funny, helpful and available without being obtrusive. Breakfast was delicious, the other people staying there were fun and interesting and we were both extremely sorry to leave. Can't wait to return! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cape May B&B Beauclaire"
Beautiful old home -- clean and well-maintained. The 2 third floor rooms are not for every guest -- and Brandon's certainly not for us: the sloping ceilings caused a lot of head bumps; teeny tiny closet; tiny wicker chest; minimal lighting (bathroom lacked a decent mirror and had no light over the mirror.) Would prefer flexible breakfast schedule -- […] 9:00 AM is way too late if you have places to go. Food was excellent. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Overnight in Cape May"
Unfortunately, we didn't arrive until almost 3am the night of our stay, however, the proprietors were more than helpful in arranging for our after hours arrival. It would have been nice to have been given a later check out time though, since we arrived so late. For the short time that we were there though, the property was very enjoyable, comfortable, […] clean, and quaint. Would definitely return. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A good birding stop: Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast"
Cape May, NJ, is famous world-wide for fabulous birding opportunities. Beauclaires Bed & Breakfast is a comfortable, convenient location to serve as a base to explore the area. Breakfast is tasty, and the ambience of the Victorian building makes the visitor feel instantly at home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very lovely b&b"
I stayed in Haley's cottage. It had a king size bed, lovely sitting area with reclining wingback chairs, a fireplace, ocean view, tv, private bath. Everything was true to the Victorian nature. Joe, the innkeeper was very pleasant and helpful with anything. Breakfast was good, conservation is great, too. Beauclaires is close to a lot of attractions including […] the beach, I walked everywhere during my stay. I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice bed and breakfast! The room we stayed in was small and on the 3rd floor of the building , hard on the back dragging luggage up. Breakfast wonderful!!! Inn keeper very friendly! We will visit again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"SO CLOSE TO THE BOARDWALK AND BEACH!"
Joe really set the tone when he welcomed us. He was so laid-back that we settled right in and it was clear the other guests felt the same. You really need to spend a great night's rest on the wonderful mattresses in the rooms. Our one-night stay far exceeded expectations and I really would love to return for an extended visit.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I only stayed one night and this was my first B&B experience. Very nice place, owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The location is excellent...half block to the beach and two blocks to the downtown area. Breakfast was served at 9am which was late for me but that is a personal preference. Overall excellent experience and highly recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cape May B&B"
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beauclaires B&B. We loved the Victorian decore and the food and service were very good. It was also close to everything in Cape May. We would definitely return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Didn't get to stay"
Our experience was disappoining, evidently there was a communication breakdown between the B&B and Hotels.com. We specifically said we needed a place with 2 beds, since we had 3 people in our group and we wanted a place that included breakfast. Hotels.com said that Beauclaires had a room with 2 beds and booked us into it. When we arrived we were told […] that that room was already booked and they didn't have a roll away, cot or mattress for us to use. The Manager very kindly founds us a room at another hotel, but it was more money and didn't include breakfast. Now I need to call for a refund, because even though we didn't stay there I discovered we were charged anyway. I guess I'm more disappointed with Hotels.com Thank you Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Best Experience We've Had In Cape May!"
11/11/14 David_Danishefsky Beaver Meadows, Pennsylvania
My fiancee and I have visited Cape May 6 times in the past 5 years. 5 times to participate in Cape May's Sherlock Holmes Weekend and once just for a little summer vacation. We always stay at a B&B, but this was our first time at Beauclaire's. And we both are in complete agreement that it was our best B&B experience yet! It's such a beautiful and welcoming home and innkeeper, Joe Giovanetti, really knows how to make his guests feel right at home and part of a family. And don't even get me started on the food! Joe is an amazing cook and his breakfasts are absolutely delicious and always served with a smile. To sum things up: Beauclaire's is Beautiful, Clean and Comfy with gorgeous antique furnishings throughout. And the service is just great. Needless to say...My fiancee and I have found our new home away from home!!!

Beautiful B&B about a half of a block away from the ocean. We actually had a really great view of the ocean from our room! The furnishings and artwork are perfect - not fluffy and frilly like other victorian inns. Charming sitting rooms; the spacious living room and one of a kind turret reading room. The bedroom cozy, the bed comfy. The owner, Joe, prepared the most delicious breakfasts and laid out snacks and drinks in the afternoon, and was so friendly and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay. We selected Beauclaires for our stay during the Sherlock Holmes Weekend presented by the Cape May Mid Atlantic Center of the Arts & Humanities. It was a perfect complement to our weekend!
"Lovely Stay at Beauclaire's"
11/02/14 soccermomWashington Washington
My husband and I spent two great nights at this lovely Victorian. It's a good location, just steps to the beach and within an easy walk to shops and yummy restaurants ( we enjoyed a delish meal at Freda's Cafe and another at George's)...and has off street parking. Joe made two fabulous breakfasts, more gourmet than your average B&B and spent time adding to the lively conversation with us guests...felt like family. Our room was 'Hailey's Cottage' , very clean with a comfy king bed and antique furnishings. The house has a lot of character; is very quaint, comfortable and homey but shows it's age. All in all, a great place for a stay at Cape May.

Beauclaire's is charming. It puts you in a great location in Cape May's historic district, just steps from the ocean and the pedestrian mall. The room was clean and comfortable and the owner (Joe) was friendly and helpful and provided great recommendations. Spent three nights and each breakfast was very good and more than we could eat. The building has a lot of charm, including stained glass windows and a creaky staircase.

We were 3 couples returning from a re-union weekend in Connecticul. Beauclaire's was charming and an easy walking distance to all sorts of interesting homes, restaurants, shops and the beach. Cute rooms, great breakfast, friendly hosts and guests-wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast was excellent and so was the afternoon iced tea and cookies. Our room was clean and comfortable. Loved the fireplace in our room! We can't wait until we can return.
"A relaxing weekend"
10/06/14 Janet T Sacramento, California, United States
The inn was pleasant, quaint, and clean and the owners very friendly and hospitable. They seemed genuinely concerned that all of our needs were met and gave us good suggestions for restaurants in the area. The location was perfect, just a short few minutes from the beach. My room, which I shared with my daughter, was roomy and had a partial view of the beach and ocean. Breakfast was very nice, tasty, and there was plenty of it. I liked the atmosphere, relaxing and laid back. The Wi-Fi was problematic, but was not a big deal. I would recommend this B&B to others. I have only stayed in one other B&B at another location and this one tops my prior experience. Janet
"A perfect getaway"
09/19/14 Ann J Mountain Top, Pennsylvania
My husband Art and I spent our second get away long weekend in Cape May but this was our first stay at Beauclaire's and we absolutely loved it! The inn keeper could not have been more friendly and hospitable. If you like "homey"/ family type atmosphere's this is the place for you.The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was not only a place to get a good original home cooked meal prepared by Joe himself ; but it was a nice way to start the day with an always friendly bunch of people. The room's view was great and was kept very clean and had all the amenities needed on a vacation The location couldn't have been more convenient....not even a full block away from the beach and within walking distance of there quaint town. It was our first stay at Beauclaire'e but it won't be our last!
09/13/14 Steve M Montreal, Canada
There is not enough room here to describe how we feel about Beauclaire's We stayed there recently for the 2nd TIME in as many years and when we go to Cape May we will not stay anywhere else. It is antique and old complete with creaky stairs but that's what you wantexpect when visiting historic Cape May. The location is second to none and you can park right there. And the innkeeper? My word, he prepares the greatest breakfast and proudly announces the good food you are about to eat. He makes you feel so welcome and at home. Beach? Two minute walk...shopping & restaurants? 5 minute walk and less. and the rates are so competitive there is no better bang for your buck. If you like high class and high fallooting this may not be the place for you...but if convenience and charm ...this is it!

Our daughter was graduating from basic training at the Cape May Coast Guard training facility on Friday of Labor Day weekend. We wanted a place close and for just one night. We found the b&b on Expedia but went directly to their website to book. It was my husbands first experience staying at a bed & breakfast and couldn't have been better. Our innkeeper Joe- greetest us on arrival, was very nice and welcoming. He referred us to several restaurants and the house is in walking distance from just about about everything... The beach, shopping, etc.
