Village Center Inn - Teton Village

Would not stay there again. Sat on Patio furniture (literally) in the living area, the blinds didn't cover the windows so there was no privacy from those walking by the room, the mattress was small, old, and extremely uncomfortable. The room was 40 years outdated than what it show in the brochures. Very disappointing.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the accomodations. While the condo was obviously older (~70s), it was clean and spacious. The full kitchen was a definite bonus. The cost, when compared to anything else in the area, was very reasonable.

Pros: The condo was adorable and had a nicely stocked kitchen. There was a lot of room for sleeping and storing clothes, etc. The property management staff was very friendly. Teton Village, where the condo is, was very active and alive. The grounds are beautiful. Cons: The view was of the parking lot. It didn't appear that any of the rooms had a mountain […] view. The entrance door looked like an entrance to an office - it had a glass window in it. Although it had a blind, it was uncomfortable thinking people could see in, and the lock was flimsy. But my biggest complaint was the noise. I understand that it is hard for management to control things like parties, but I have a feeling the noise was actually due to thin walls. It's ok once you find it, but you get what you pay for. It's the cheapest place in a trendy resort village with hamburgers for $15. It's not even called the "Village Inn" (it's "Jackson Hole" something or other) but who cares? It's kinda hard to see the sign to figure out where it is, but it's it's the one with Village Center Lodge on it. You have to check in at the customer service place next door to the Sinclair Gas station, and they can give you better directions. Unfortunately the age of the condo's showed. Although the room was clean I feel the cost was too much. Unfortunately all the resorts and motels in the area are over priced. But then they have you and can charge whatever they choose because of being the closest larger town to Yellowstone and Teton. The metal edging on the exterior steps could be dangerous. […] It was a must too continually look at each step and be sure to pick up your feet as to not catch the toe of your shoe on the edging. What a flea bag of a hotel. Paid for 2 nights and barey made it through 1. Place was filthy. Was supposed to be no pets or smoking. Next door had huge dog and the place smelled like a bar. Do yourself a favor, stay in the mountain with the bears, you will be better off.

One of the most frustrating experiences ever! There is almost nothing to tell you this is actually a hotel. I had to ask two different desk clerks at other hotels in the area to actually find the place. Turns out there isn't even a desk clerk at the hotel! Thank heavens I printed out the hotel phone number, and was connected to an 'answering service.' […] I had to go to another building, go through an entryway and pick up a phone with a direct line to this answering service. There I was given instructions to open a key drop box. Once I got to the room it was O.K. The mattress wasn't quite a torture device but came close. If the hotel or Expedia had provided this information it would have made all the difference but there was: -No communication -No coordination -No service and so almost NO satisfaction. It's a few miles out of town but it's probably only 15 mins to Jackson, and there's all the amenities of a ski resort right there (open in Summer as well). It's also a bit closer to get to Grand Teton NP. Better than I expected.

DH and I reserved for 3 nights and ended up staying for 4 as we visited Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Wyoming. One bedroom condo with sleeping for 3 in the 'bedroom' and sleeping for 2 in the living room. Small but workable kitchen; we only used it to make coffee (supplied) and a bowl of cereal (from the grocery store) each morning. ** NOTE […] - Check-in is at "Jackson Hole Resort Lodging" behind the Sinclair Gas Station, across the parking lot from the unit. ** Grocery store at the Aspens two miles down the road was reasonable, and a 15% discount coupon for the store was in our registration packet. ** I was surprised to learn that the road north frorm Teton Village to Teton NP was very small, and unpaved for a portion just over a mile. However, it appears for this BEAUTIFUL, long narrow park, there will be a 20+ minute drive from one trail to the next. The room was great--walking distance to everything in Teton Village, yet very quiet. Loved having a full kitchen, and there was absolutely no noise through the walls or ceiling. The Village Center Inn room was a comfortable ski room in the building adjacent to the main gondola building (a central location). It had a very nice kitchen and TV. The best part was that we were walking distance from the Mangy Moose restaurant and bar where we had a great dinner and saw a very good band (a very enjoyable evening). The bar serves meals […] on their porch which is surrounded by beautiful trees which I’d recommend to everyone (in the summer). Being a resort there are a lot of activities one can participate in at Teton Village. My partner took the opportunity to take a paragliding flight from the top of the mountain to the valley floor. He says it was wonderful. We strongly recommend the Teton Village and the Village Center Inn to everyone who wants a low key, relaxing, enjoyable time. In addition to enjoying Teton Village, we also enjoyed the restaurants and activities available in Jackson Hole a short drive away. One suggestion - the office (co-located with the gas station) closes early. It is best to call ahead if you are going to arrive late so that they can tell you how to get your room key. Read more

We are a middle class fifty'ish age couple just looking for a clean place to stay with a few amenties. Bathroom fixtures aren't new, but were clean. We used the oven and refrigerator. Nice spacious suite with living room, kitchen and two separate single beds in beautiful Teton village right next to the mountains. Hiking, biking are right out front, the gondola leaves next door and takes you to the summit of more than 10,000 feet, and only 12 miles from Jackson, WY. This is the most beautiful spot at the base of the Grand Tetons, Wyoming and just a few miles out of Jackson Hole. The Inn was one of the oldest accomodations there but clean and comfortable and very affodable for this location. Highly recommended.
