After viewing all the other reviews, I selected this hotel. What a pleasant surprise. Restaurant for dinner is pricey but worth it. The breakfast (by voucher) is way above what you would normally see on a breakfast buffet.Will definitely stay at Best Western Plus again. White Spot Restaurant across the street is upscale and food is wonderful.

I was surprised by the tidiness of our room specially the innovations the housekeeper was using to decorate the towels. It was very convenient to stay with an 18 month old baby!

The temperature in the room was a little too warm and the thermostat didn't work when we tried to adjust it. The exterior and the lobby was run down, elevator not working so had to climb 3 flights of stairs, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Location.
Conveniently near the airport in Edmonton, Hampton Inn by Hilton Edmonton/South is close to South Edmonton Common. Additional area attractions include Snow Valley Ski Club.
Hotel Features.
Hampton Inn by Hilton Edmonton/South has an indoor pool, a spa tub, and a fitness facility. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is complimentary in public areas. The hotel features business amenities including a 24-hour business center, small meeting rooms, and a meeting/conference room. A complimentary breakfast is available. "NOT VERY COZY"
I suffered with the first room off of the lobby. At 5:20 am the maids began readying their carts and banging linen carts in the room next to me. I heard every person entering and leaving the lobby. All in the echo chamber of the 10' high ceiling. I was told there was no other room available to change into. Staff not as warm and friendly as the Hampton […] on the West End. The lobby is stark and cold, no cozy furniture or area to relax. The breakfast was weak than most Hampton's breakfast. The building is new so no complaints about the condition. Was a good stay great for families. The breakfeast room was excellent! However there were a number of hockey teams staying there and a lot of kids were running up and down the halls a lot of doors slamming as well. We complained to the front desk in regards to it.

We were only upset at the room above us. Kids were jumping around at all hours but other than that it was great.

this hotel was exactly as described and we had a great stay there. Concierge called room immediately after checking in to see if we needed anything, which was lovely. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and breakfast was also great. No complaints would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone! by no means a 2 1/2 star hotel, definitely 3 1/2 […] for sure! Read more

"overall review"
I searched high and low for a hotel that welcomes young familys, that includes a pool and breakfast, and A king size bed (baby sleeps with us).... We got the room with one king and couch. We stayed the two nights before at the Holiday inn... then moved to be close to the south common.... Hampton in will be our new go-to hotel. The staff are just right, […] helpful friendly and not in your face. The food is just right, for us it suited our 1 yr old, 11 yr old and us as adults. Its a huge/private eating area. Hotel is very clean, rooms had lots of room. Im noticing this new trend of putting coffee makers in the bathroom??? dont quite understand the need for food in the germiest room, but it is easily moved out the desk if you want. The bathroom is great, beds are great, carpets are clean and hotel is quite! There was a large Indian Wedding happening in the hotel and it looked as tho they were having a blast, and we were not disturbed at all by the rocking music...maybe jealous we werent invited!! The next day on Sundays the rocking room turns into a church... it would be great for a churchattending family. The location of this place is just a very very short drive (like on gateway and off gateway) to all the big outlet stores your heart can desire.... and its super easy with two options either big highway (gateway) or back road quiet route right into southcommon. There are hotels all around and I beleive some have restaurants, but we were not looking really. Lots of parking and well lit parking lot. Very comfortable, very good value! Oh and our flight was dellayed and we had to check out of course at 11, but the hotel held all our bags (4 huge hockey bags!) until 6pm while we went and shopped some more! Great experience. Good job! My ONLY recommendation to ALL hotels with pools.... stay open till 11 or 12! 10 is just so hard to get in enough swimming with the kiddies! Read more

This hotel was a good choice from the get go, the front desk agents were very friendly and efficeint. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good, and the pool made the stay that much enjoyable. It is very easy to get onto the Anthony henday drive, and cheaper than staying by the WEM.

The rooms were very spacious and well laid out. The fitness room was excellent with a large number of work out options to choose from. The contenital breakfast could have a few more choices and more then one waffle cooker. The staff were great.
staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, but they only have one waffle machine :-( Beds are super comfy and the bathroom was huge.

It is a very clean and well presented hotel. There were a few wall switches that didn't seem to serve any function in our room, however that is just minor. Would suggest to have a side mirror or magnifying mirror in the bathroom to assist with applying make up as the vanity is quite large and far from the mirror for those of us with older eyes. Brighter […] lighting in the room would be a benefit but it was adequate.Good buffet for breakfast, hot and cold, lots of variety. Would stay there again without hesitation. Read more

"Very nice option"
I've stayed here several times and will continue to use this hotel when I need to visit companies in the south of Edmonton. This hotel is clean and new with a decent breakfast that's included and excellent pool and gym facilities. Not many restaurants within walking distance but in a 5 minute drive there's lots to choose from.

the hotel was clean and well maintained, and I loved it ,but second night, I got a little problem that my room key and free wifi didnt work. I think the hotel reset my room key and access code of wifi. Otherwise it was ok
"Great place to stay"
We went here last, after trying out some other hotels along Calgary Trail. We did have a pet, and so knowing we would be paying extra. For the price point, this Hotel is classier, and cleaner that anything else we've tried to date. They allowed the dog, had a pool, hot tub, exercise room, free hot breakfast and flat screen tv full cable.
Didn't like paper cups in the bathroom.

The hotel was clean and accommodating, but I found the bed linens uncomfortable. Might have just been me. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, the hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. I would stay again.

We had only a one night stay at the Hampton Inn in Edmonton, but would definitely recommend this new hotel to others. I am insanely picky about cleanliness - and the Hampton did not disappoint. Front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly - no problems there at all. The room was not only very clean, but comfortable and quiet. Excellent showerhead […] and an exhaust fan that actually did the job (so many seem not to). Did not have the opportunity to use the pool and other amenities, but am confident they are on par with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is the standard fare, but the room used for seating is clean, bright, and modern. Well done Hampton! I will be back! Read more

What a disaster! I booked 2 adjoining rooms only to find upon arrival that this hotels version of adjoining rooms is on totally different floors. When I asked the desk clerk to make a switch she told me the hotel was full then promptly gave a room to a couple who walked in without any reservations. Breakfast was fine, the king bed wasn't as comfortable as other Hampton's we stayed inn we asked for a cot for my daughter they only had a single mattress that layed on the floor? We pulled the hideaway bed out and found a bag of dirty clothes! There was also a coffee maker but no coffee pot to go with it.

Rates were reasonable, room was nice/clean, beds were very comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and get to/from our destination. Breakfast was great. We were travelling with 2 kids aged 9 & 11 so they were expecting a bigger pool but still satisfactory. We would stay there again.
