Very nice place with a refined air. Traditional hotel with traditional interiors, appropriate for Scotland. Definitely upscale, particularly in bar and restaurant area. Not a place to slop around in jeans, especially if dining.

Columba is good value, you could find some faults but they are minor. In all it's good value for money and in a great, picturesque spot near town, on the river side.

Our stay at Rocpool Reserve Hotel & Chez Roux Restaurant was incredible. Service was impeccable and the food was some of the best we've ever eaten. Our only complaint was that the TV did not work, we mentioned it to the staff but it was never fixed. We were only there for one night and so didn't plan on spending much time watching television, so really it was a non-issue for us, but I was surprised the request was not resolved, and had we booked a longer stay, might have been a more serious inconvenience. Other than that, hotel was gorgeous and we'd stay again in a heartbeat. Gorgeous view from the balcony and a private hot tub, plus gourmet food - what more could you ask for!

Close to all as hotel is in the heart of the shopping district. Steps from all major transportation-buses and trains. Book trains a day or so before travel and you save a bundle. Buses go to airport.

Sarah was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. Our reason for staying there was to visit Urguhart Castle and the castle was only a 2 min drive. We arrived New Years Day and didn't have plans for dinner. Sarah called around and got us reservations and even had a bottle of champagne in the room for us. Our son was reading a "Nessie" book and she gave it […] to him when we left. The fire in the sitting room was very nice in the evening after a lovely dinner and day full of traveling. The Scottish breakfast was very good and we particularly enjoyed the potato scones. Read more

Un accueil adorable, un bon feu de bois toute la journée, et des rando à couper le souffle accessibles à pied. De très bons conseils sur les adresses sympas ou manger et boire un verre, un petit dej gargantuesque (avec la possbilité d'avoir des crêpes toutes fraiches pour les non-receptifs aux oeufs-bacon le matin).
