"Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!!!!"

We stayed at the Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge from 30th August until 4th September 2014, and can genuinely say we had a wonderful experience here. The accommodation was excellent, the local amenities were plentiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the staff were so friendly and helpful (Thanks for everything Bill!) We did not want to go home at the end of our stay, and were very sad to leave. If we are ever over there again we would not hesitate to book with them again. The Flynn Family, West Midlands, UK

"The manager tries hard in spite of the owner"

We stayed at this Lodge in Summer of 2014. The staff go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful, however the owner is a crotchety old man who needs to get out of the service industry. We have stayed all over the world and this is the first time I actually spent the time to do a review!!! Upon arrival, the owner stormed out to my husband sitting in our vehicle and promptly said" what the hell are you doing here". Both the front desk and manager continually apologized for his behaviour. We later met someone who appeared to be a son or relative. Definitely the acorn does not fall far from the tree. The best that could happen for this lodge would be for the owner to sell it!

We spent five nights in one of the motel rooms. Overall the room was small, but clean and functional and quiet. There is a small fridge for keeping refreshments cold and a microwave, which we did not use. The grounds are very pretty and the cottages looked very nice (maybe next time we'll book one of these), and there is a swimming pool and laundry room, which we also did not use. We spent little time there - basically just to crash after a full day of exploring all the wonderful sites throughout the cape. The beach is close by and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard is a short walk. Breakfast is continental style consisting of a few baked goods, cereal, health bars, coffee, tea and milk. Opting for a more healthy breakfast, we did not have anything other than coffee, but that was our choice. Also, there is nowhere to eat, particularly in the motel style room, as there is no table other than a small desk, which was taken over with our toiletries. The front desk staff is friendly and informative and there are several brochures and maps of the area. This was our first real visit to the cape and the weather was wonderful. The location was very convenient and a short drive from downtown, where we enjoyed a few meals. Would definitely return and recommend it to young and old, singles, couples and families!
"Excellent location to visit Martha's Vineyard"

We spent 2 nights here in August. As said before the rooms are clean with fridge and microwave and a parking spot right outside the door. There is a 7/11 a short walk away as well as a Liquor shop. It is a short walk to the ferry for Martha's Vineyard and there are plenty of restaurants to suit all tastes in Falmouth. We visited the Flying Bridge restaurant very close by for a lovely fish meal overlooking the harbour. There is a pool and the motel is only a few yards from the beach. A light breakfast is provided, tea or coffee, orange juice, 2 types of cereal, 3 types of cake or a breakfast bar.

Great location... Close to Holiday Cycles (highly recommended for bike rentals) and close to the Island Queen for a ferry over to Martha's Vineyard. Our room was clean and the kids enjoyed the grounds and pool. Rooms are large and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!
"Ideal Jumping Off Spot"

We stayed at the Motel for one night prior to leaving for the Vineyard by ferry. The location is ideal: less than a five minute walk to the ferry and you can leave your car at the Inn ($20/night CASH). The rooms are small, but clean. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. Pool on the premises. Good shower etc. Friendly and helpful staff. No turndown service, mints on the pillow or terry robes, but a good value for what it is.
"Welcoming first visit to the Cape"

Stayed for 5 nights in the Beach House and wish we could have stayed longer. Beach house is light and airy with plenty of space to stretch out on the enormous bed. Not somewhere for those with mobility issues as the steep flight of stairs can take your energy at the end of a long day, but worth it when you reach the top. Other members of the family stayed in the motel rooms which were also good and have parking spaces just outside. However after the beach house is worth paying the extra if you can afford to. The beach is just across the road, but the swimming pool is nearer for a restful few hours. Ferry to Marha's Vineyard was walking distance and the island is most definitely recommended for a visit.
"Relaxing place to stay"

We travelled down to Cape Cod from Boston for 3 nights and stayed at Falmouth Heights in the Grande House, which has about 3 guest rooms. It's so peaceful! There was enough room for my husband and I and our 18 year old daughter as there were 2 beds in the room. There was a small decking patio which we ate breakfast on. Grounds are lovely-spacious and well tended and the pool area is great. There's a washing machine and dryer in a separate area-great as we had been travelling for 11 days. Walk to the beach is about 7 mins and even closer to the Island Ferry to sail over to Martha's Vineyard. Falmouth is about a 5 min drive away, with a large car park and an abundance of restaurants and small shops. Maureen, Bill and all the staff were extremely welcoming and we would definitely stay again if we revisit Cape Cod, which we will!
