"Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge"
A wonderful place on the Cape which is located in a quiet residential area, walking distance to the Island Queen Ferry and the beach. The hotel has a nice pool, grassy lawn area with swings and an old-fashion soda shack. We were able to walk to the Island Queen Ferry to spend the day on Martha's VIneyard. This hotel is also walking distance to the Casino […] Wharf Restaurant (a great restaurant overlooking the beach). The hotel is about ten minutes from downtown Falmouth, which is very lovely. We spent another gorgeous day on the Cape on rented bikes (Corner Cycle) biking along the Shining Sea Bike Trail to the Woods Hole lighthouse. The staff at Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our was room quiet, clean and comfortable. We had an enjoyable stay in this quaint motor lodge. We highly recommend to everyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge"
Neat, clean, quiet; short walk to beach and some restaurants, very short drive to Main Street, so I consider this a good location. Negatives: (1) loud bathroom fan (if you want a light on in the bathroom you get the fan with it) that is intrusive wherever you are in the motel room (2) sleep-disturbing vibration in the AC unit so I opted to finally turn […] it off (3) better lighting is needed, imo. All these negatives can be quickly & inexpensively remedied. Otherwise the property is well-maintained and I'd stay again when in the Falmouth area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful, from booking to check out!"

I had read several reviews before booking, and the ones about the Motor Lodge were all correct! The staff is wonderful. From the time I called in until check out they were cheerful, helpful and full of information. I knew when I booked I had chosen the right place. It was so deceiving from the road as I drove in. This ML is expansive. They have several buildings and a lot of options. I stayed in their Main Lodge. It has all been redone. I thoroughly enjoyed walking everywhere. The beach is right through their back gate. I just booked again for the Fourth of July this year!
"Great people but only average accomodation"

Stayed in Falmouth for 2 nights as our base to explore Cape Cod and to be close to the ferry station The staff here could not have been more friendly and genuine, they were always helpful and ready to supply information and great tourist tips. We also purchased slightly reduced return ferry tickets to Martha's Vineyard which were on offer for the lodge guests We checked in later than planned and called ahead to advise but happily we made the 22:00 arrival deadline. Our room was in the main block of, I think, 5 adjacent rooms and to be honest the sound proofing was below basic requirements. We could clearly here the TV in the next room and the volume was at a reasonable level, so you could hardly blame the neighbor The room, bedding, carpets and towels all looked a bit tired and rather old fashioned - the bathroom was quite narrow and dimly lit. The place was clean but would need some refurbishment and brightening to make it more welcoming. We had a huge fridge but no kettle. We took breakfast which was prepaid in the room rate but , as stated in previous reviews, it was quite basic with only weak instant coffee. On the whole Cape Cod is quite expensive but I was expecting a bit more given the rate we had paid. The pool looked lovely but we didn't use it as we were far too busy exploring. Internet was included in the room rate and it worked fine. We were even able to park the car here after check-out for the full day which we really appreciated. The staff here would deserve a better rating, but the basic comfort level of the accommodation is the main reason for this grading. If I came back to Cape Cod again I would honestly book earlier and go elsewhere.

I booked my stay here for a nearby wedding, so luxury and my personal comfort weren't a priority. But what a surprise! The room was vast, impeccable and smelled really clean and fresh. The closet was spacious, the bed comfy and the bathroom really charming -- soft lighting and nice toiletries. In other words, it didn't feel anything like a "motor lodge"; in fact, I'd recommend the property consider changing its name to reflect the far more cushy experience it provides. On top of everything, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful with date changes as well as giving directions and travel tips.
"Love this place - will definitely be back!!! The BEST"

Found this Motel on internet - and since we hadn't been back to the Cape in 13 years, I picked a place that I knew (Falmouth) and thought that the price was very very reasonable. I booked for two nights, not knowing what the Motel might be like - well, we would have stayed on and on and on. We were in a small, but clean and perfect room (Motel style) I asked the friendly people at the desk if there were other rooms - they started to slow more many rooms - since they own five different buildings on their property. We upgraded and got a great, huge room (better since we decided to stay on for another night) and it was only $20 more! Oh yes, there is breakfast in the lobby, so you go and pick up your food which you can eat in their garden or in your room - very nice. On the property, there is laundry facilities, you can walk to the beach and walk to the ferry that takes you to Martha's Vineyard. When returning from the Ferry to the Vineyard, my husband commented - 'It feels like we were are walking home'. Love this Motel and highly recommended it to everyone!!!!!
"Quick 1-Night Stay"

We stayed at Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge for one night after a long 12-hour drive from Toronto, Canada. Checked in around 10pm and friendly front desk clerk offered us some maps and brochure of the area. Our room had a queen bed and was very clean and tidy. In the morning, we checked out the continental breakfast, which turned out to be a few pieces of coffee cake, muffins, dry cereals, coffee/tea. We took our breakfast down to the small beach just a few min. walk from the lodge. No chance to try the onsite pool. We checked out around 9am and was able to keep our car parked in their lot as we rented some bikes to tour around the Shining Sea Bikeway. We had an okay stay. Nothing to rush back for.

Stayed in one of the cottages alone for three nights before my husband joined me for a further two. It was perfect in every way as a base, and the well-stocked kitchenette allowed me to cater for myself without having to eat out alone. Staff were delightful at all times and everything was clean and well looked after.
"Great location, clean room, friendly staff"

I stayed in their efficiency unit for 5 nights and I really appreciated the nice bright clean room and especially the visually pleasing and peaceful back yard, which is right off from the large deck of the efficiency. This cozy back yard has everything necessary to make you feel right at home. I had also rented another efficiency unit for a friend, but she could not make the trip. Maureen, the owner, treated me very well with credit back from that room for the nights that she was able to rent it out to someone else. The location is another plus for this motel. I will surely be back in the spring.

Just stopped for one night during our tour of the East Coast of the USA and we were very impressed with the service provided by the staff. They were very helpful especially reserving the next part of our journey from Boston Airport and Bill who was on duty at the time made our On-line flight reservations and printed the confirmation which was a big help to us. The room was very clean & comfortable and the lodge was in a great location, perfect for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and we can recommend this is a very good place to stay. Thanks to all staff, Alan & Edwina James, Portishead, North Somerset, England,UK.
"Next best thing to a vacation rental!"

We rented a room in the Grande House for a couple of nights and it really felt like a small apartment. It had 2 double beds, a kitchen and dining area, bathroom and even a small patio. It was quiet and peaceful. Best part was that it was just a short walk to the Island Queen ferry that took you to Martha's Vineyard, and also a short walk to Falmouth Heights Beach. We only needed to use our car to go shopping, or dining. On the resort was a washer and dryer (coin operated) so we could catch up on our laundry and it was also stocked with beach chairs if we needed it and had plenty of space to walk around or swing on the set if you wanted to relax on a late cool summer evening. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone who was traveling in pairs and wanted a nice home away from home, but who didn't want to spend the cost on a vacation rental property!
"A wonderful place to stay in Falmouth!"
09/26/13 Roberta T Charlotte, North Carolina
My mom and I recently traveled to Cape Cod for a long weekend and, happily taking a friend's recommendation, stayed at Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge. It was a great experience and we absolutely loved staying at Falmouth Heights Motor Lodge! The lodge is quaint and conveniently located close to everything: about 2 minutes driving from Main Street, and only about 5 minutes walking to both the beach and the Island Queen (which takes you to Martha's Vineyard). The staff was absolutely wonderful, very helpful and friendly, and gave exceptional recommendations for restaurants and itineraries. There are many types of rooms that you can stay in, and our was spacious, pristine, and very comfortable. We even walked to the beach the first night we arrived! The next day, we woke up early, had a quick breakfast in the lobby (which is included), and walked down to the Island Queen to go to the Vineyard. There is nothing I would change about our stay as we loved the experience there. We are definitely staying there again when we return to beautiful Falmouth.
