"A great find away from the touristy stuff"
Chose this place based on sale price and am so glad I did. What a pleasant surprise! Although it's a little out of the way, I was glad to get away from the crowds in Lincoln. It's in a secluded little resort town & so quiet there! Such an idyllic location, especially for viewing the fall colors which were spectacular. The hotel is a little older, but […] very well kept & incredibly clean. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Kevin (I think he’s the owner) was especially great. I didn't know it when I booked it, but our rate also included access to the tennis courts, golf course, rec center, 2-hour mountain bike rental, & more free! We didn't take advantage of them, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. We had a room with 2 queen beds that also had a generous seating area with a couch, small dining table with 2 chairs, fridge, & microwave. Lots of space, and everything was clean & in working order. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the shower which was more like a high-powered mist, probably because it was low-flow. It got the job done rinsing my long hair, but wasn't the best shower ever- also not the worst though! There aren't many retail or dining options around, so you might consider bringing in your own snacks if you have special needs. We brought our own wine & they loaned us a bottle opener. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a real get-away. We'll be back for sure! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, well priced in beautiful surroundings"
The room provided a nice place to stay for the night while touring the area. the only negative was trying to get the receptionist to understand that the light bulb when you entered the room was not working rather than that we couldn't figure out which light switches were connected to it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Rececption was not welcoming,I would love to be comfortable and sit on a sofa and not chairs .Also most places now have a microwave there wasn't one, if yu bring ur leftovers yu can't warm it up.Other than that rooms were clean, beds comfortable, bathrooms a little tight .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Inn is good for the Money. It is dated, but the room was clean and the location was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
If you stay in winter there is nothing to do at the hotel. Room had uneven amounts of dishware. Trim in bathroom was also broken.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Arrived late 10pm and desk was closed but they had left my key out at the desk. Light over nightstand between beds did not work. Went to turn on the TV and the TV remote didn't work. Since we arrived late and wee leaving to ski the next morning we just wanted to watch TV and crash. Had to get up and manually search stations.. "Nice hotel next to ski resort"
Overall the hotel was good but did have some trouble getting shower to operate at first. Needed to pull up hard on diverter hahdle to get full flow at shower head. Shower curtain rod had kink in middle from previous user (flimsy support) . Desk person was very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice place for two/three can't imagine more than that. Why no coffee maker?Genuine Expedia guest review
"Accomodations not as confirmed. Over priced."
Reservation confirmed as 2 queen beds, Their room was one king bed and a pull out couch. Sign out front says "dining"- closed 2-3 years ago. Had no choice but to stay as no other rooms available in any hotel in Waterville Valley. Room rate had a 31% surcharge for Expedia. Will contact Expedia to file a complaint.Genuine Expedia guest review
It is a good clean hotel. It doe not have any food service .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is a mess!"
Total waste of money. Unkept, poor quality rooms. Complete waste of money. Employees did the minimum to satisfy customer needs. Hotel hadn't been updated for 20+ yrs. aweful aweful awefulGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I needed a place to stay overnight while my kids stayed with their cousins at their ski condo. I was not looking for anything fancy but this was not a pleasant experience. There was hair in the shower drain. So gross. There was no coffee maker in the room, even though there was a little kitchenette in the suite. Any place I have stayed has at least […] a tiny coffee maker! Most of the places I have stayed provide a couple of small bottles of water, there was none here. The wi-fi did not work and my bed did not get made even though I was out of my room most of the day and evening. I would not go back to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This inn is very nice. I got welcomed every time I returned. The rooms were nice, but the inn did not provide anything that kept me there. There is no TV in the lobby, no place to eat and not even a continental breakfast. Anything you might want to do you will have to goto town square, which in the cold is just too far to walk and with the streets in […] town not lit it is not the easiest thing to do. "Comfortable lodging in Waterville Valley"
The hotel has been updating their rooms, with improvements to the bathrooms and beds. They have a nice sitting area in the lobby area, with a cozy fireplace to sit by and read a book. The Wi-Fi capability was still spotty at best and it would be nice if they would upgrade their TV's.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A mixed bag; you'll probably do better elsewhere."
A hotel employee went out of her way to get us a DVD player (not supplied in room) for our tv. Unfortunately, it didn't work. When I saw our room looked out over the parking lot, I inquired about switching to another room. They told me none were available, although there were only six cars in their parking lot that night. I guess they figured it wasn't […] worth it to make new coffee and hot water-for-tea for the six "cars" staying. The next morning the coffee was old and just warm and the hot water for tea wasn't hot. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful and Charming!"
My friends and I had a great experience at this inn. It is in a beautiful area, great view of the stars at night and the leaves in the fall. It is a little older so the floor boards squeak a bit, but it is a very charming place and well maintained from what I could tell. The staff was so very friendly and accommodating. I wish that we could have stayed […] there an extra night, but sadly we were just passing through the area. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good gataway hotel"
I stayed here on Oct 6th. Only 1 night. Room was clean & spacious. The surrounding and view is awesome. Caution: GPS might show the correct address; keep the route details handy. Also, there was no hair dryer, no complimentary breakfast (I would expect a very basic carry & eat items at least for the price we paid). There is no restaurant; so have to […] look out for other options. Mainly because of location and cleanliness of the room, I would highly recommend this Inn.... "Maybe it's better during ski season"
When was the last time you checked into a hotel and the room had neither a blow dryer or an ironing board? And the response from the front desk was, maybe they could look for one in the morning? Really, totally unacceptable. This hotel obviously exploits its ski season demand at the expense of any off-season visitors. Exterior maintenance was lacking […] and the inside wasn't much better. Not a good value for the rate the charge. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Very much enjoyed the coziness of this hotel. The staff were all friendly & helpful. Would definitely stay here again and/or recommend it to friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Limited dining and activities"
We booked our hotel because we were attending the Highland Games at the Loon Mountain resort. When booking through hotels.com, I was told there was a shuttle bus to the mountain. There was not. The hotel boasts a pool, yet does not mention that it is not onsite. There were no dining facilities available. On a Saturday night, there were only 2 restaurants […] even open. The first was so expensive - it was $30 a plate. The second was a sports bar (Legends). The remaining 2 other restaurants closed at 9 pm on Saturday. We had to order bar food from the bar, pay immediately and then find a table.Had the small convenience store in the town center been open (this too, closed at 9 pm) we would have bought food and brought it back to our room. As for the room itself. There were two beds upstairs. Both were full sized. My boyfriend is just over 6 feet tall. We had to sleep in the separate beds because he did not fit on the full mattress. His legs fell off the bed, so he had to sleep diagonally to sleep with all his limbs on the bed. So much for our romantic Inn night away. The TV in the room was so outdated, there were limited channels and it hummed so loudly that it took away from our ability to concentrate on the show we were watching. The wi-fi in the room was so sparse that we had to stay within a 2 foot area to get connection. We could only have 2 devices connected at all times, otherwise they would drop offline. "Beauty in the Mountains with HORRIBLE STAFF"
It was a nice stay overall but the lady in the front in doing check in was uncomfortably RUDE. She was miserable and it was obvious and in a way she made it uncomfortable for us to walk by the front alley.. I thought avoiding her would be the BEST IDEA!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very helpful when inquiring about restaurants. We have vacationed in the White Mountains for many years but never stayed or visited the Waterville Valley area. It is beautiful and will definitely return to the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fun in the mountains"
The staff was great. The rooms large (except bathroom). The facilities ample and lots to do in this quaint walkable setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for a skiing trip."
All the anemities were included in the room. The bedrooms were at another level so if someone wanted to stay up to play cards or watch TV other people can go to bed while not being disturbed.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was very pleasant. The room is large, but the bathroom is small. Refrigerator in room is nice. The price we paid was a great value, and there were very few guests. It might be different at full price, and a full hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good stay for the price"
The Village Inn was a very economical stay - hotel room was clean, neat and had the basic necessities, including a refrigerator which was very convenient. The hotel is a little worn, but very clean and well cared-for. Terry at the front desk at check in was pleasant, very helpful and gracious. We would stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Inn during the foliage season"
Great place to stay if you are visiting the Lincoln/Franconia Notch area. Not much in the Waterville Valley area itself. Only 2 restaurants to pick from for dinner, but Lincoln isn't that far away if you wanted to drive about 10-15 minutes.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good deal in a beautiful location"
The bathroom was very small. The room was pretty plainly decorated. Other than that everything there was just fine. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the hotel as long as these two things aren't a deal breaker. For the price, it was a good buy. The area and views around the hotel were just breathtaking in the fall when we were there.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Most Important Quality: Friendliness!"
The Valley Inn is a clean, efficient, well-priced hotel with nice pool and a good location, but from the moment we stepped inside we were most impressed with the staff. We truly felt like guests and not customers. The feeling of welcome was abundant and sincere. Cheerful, helpful, sincere and effective are qualities that set this property apart!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice enough in a cookie-cutter way"
A pretty generic ski condo hotel. Nice feature: a sunroom part of the room divides off with a glass slider, which gives parents a nice way to segregate from kids. Bad feature: no central heat, only a through-the-wall electric heater, the kind you get in really cheap hotels. Wailing loud fan, no thermostat, no timer. So it's REALLY hard to find "just […] right" for a good night. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"come on were in 2012"
The hotel is old and not updated. Shower spout was awful, tv small, old, remote old and missing the back, cable wasn't clear at all. The walls are thin, kept getting woke up by the neighbors in the other rooms. The only thing that was nice was the convenience of location to the mountain for smowboarding. I would not go back again especially for what […] a paid for a night!!!!! Very disappointed.
