The hosts are a fount of information about the area and its attractions, and from the moment you arrive, they sit with you to energetically plan your stay and make recommendations. Bed and sofa in the room were very comfy, breakfast was good. Had heard that the eco-friendliness might mean that I would run out of hot water (amount available in the day depends on what solar panels collected), but my shower @5pm was fine. The property sits up the hill from the motorway, so the traffic was audible all night, but center of town is 15min walk and Knysna has much to offer.

For the price, this is a great little guesthouse. The proprietor was friendly, knowledgeable and a good cook! The room was simple but clean and had a lovely view of the bay. I would not hesitate to return.

Location.
Lairds Lodge is in Plettenberg Bay (Garden Route) and regional attractions include Plettenberg Bay Beach, Knysna Golf Club, and Arch Rock. Additional regional attractions include Knysna Quays.

Hotel Features.
This Plettenberg Bay hotel offers a restaurant and a bar/lounge. Wireless and wired high-speed Internet access is complimentary in public areas. The staff can provide concierge services, tour/ticket assistance, and tour assistance. Additional amenities at this Colonial hotel include an outdoor pool, a rooftop terrace, and a library.
