"Super bien situé !"
Hotel très confortable, propre et neuf. Idéalement placé en plein centre historique, il est à côté de tout à pieds !!! La chambre était parfaite, bien insonorisée et de bonne taille. Le personnel est disponible et agréable. Je le recommande sans hésiter, et n'hésiterai pas à y retourner lors de mon prochain séjour.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bra läge i Madrid!"
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"first stay great room. second stay not as good"
06/21/14 paddlnfool B.C. canada
We stayed one night then left madrid . WE booked online and the room was awesome. big bright clean. upper floor. Crazy little evevator, but helped get my luggage up. Not too hard to find. In a building with another hostal. Buzzer is on side of door. We loved our room so much we booked in for 2 more nights when we returned to Madrid. The second room we were given was way smaller. Walls were scuffed up. Bathroom was Tiny and it was so noisy we didn't sleep at all. The price was 20 euro more a night than the first room. So wasn't too happy. We paid 43 euro for the first night with breakfast and just over 60 euro for that last two nights in a far inferior room with no breakfast. She said the price difference was because it was a weekend. As far as I was concerned the price should have stayed the same if the room wasn't as good. The location is super close to metro and all things Centro so we sucked it up and stayed. The staff were friendly and spoke good english.
"Clean, good location but, but ...."

Asked for quiet rooms, when we arrived they still had to see which rooms to give us, got street side rooms, very very noisy even with windows closed ! Bed too small, my feet were outside and I'm only 1m77cm !! Single use double rooms without any isolation, could here EVERYTHING from neighbour! Breakfast not included and no option with Booking.com to choose with or without breakfast, owner started discussion about this and could not stop discussing, even followed us up to rooms and did not stop discussion, awful man !! Rest of staff very friendly. Clean and very good location. Sorry about swimming pool rating, clicked by accident and cannot unclick it.

The hostel is in a great location: 5 minutes from Sol and walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and shopping areas. Customer service is brilliant. I forgot the charger for my mobile at home and they lent me one. Breakfast is in the cafeteria down the road until 12.30pm; great when you've been out till late the night before! As some other reviews have pointed out, the rooms are on the smallish side but to be honest big enough when you are out and about Madrid pretty much all day long. They are clean and double glazed so you get a really good sleep at night. We are definitely going back next time in Madrid!
"Clean and central hotel"

This hotel is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and it is centrally located. It is really good value for money. I would not hesitate to stay here again and i have recommended it to a friend. Reception is on the 1st floor, the door on the right ( no sign on the door)
"The best place to stay in Madrid"
I always stay at Hostal las Fuentes in Madrid. It has a great location next to the Madrid Opera, and close to both Plaza del Sol and Plaza Mayor... and it's a great value. They always treat me very well when I stay here.

Fantastic location, right in the centre! Cleanliness of rooms very good, staff helpful and friendly. I would say the only downside is when we arrived there was a few people milling around not knowing where reception was,we followed some voices from up the stairs and found reception, would have been a good to have a clear sign in different languages, plus a small downside no English channels on TV.having said that in Madrid there is so much to see and do, it's a beautiful city.
"Perfect for a short break in Madrid"
03/06/14 bajapor007 Malta
This hostel is in the first floor of an old building in Calle Las Fuentes which is just a few steps away from Opera metro stop. It's just a short walk to Plaza Puerta del Sol, Palacio Real, Teatro and Catedral de la Almudena. Area is very safe. The staff is friendly, although they could be a bit more fluent in English. Rooms were cleaned everyday and the shower was hot and powerful e en though the cubicle was a bit small.
"Perfect for a weekend in Madrid"

I staied with my girlfriend in this hotel a weekend of mid-January. I immediately liked it: it is at the first floor of a building right in the old Madrid centre (between calle Mayor and calle Arenal, 2 minutes walking from Opera metro station) and the design is good. There is also a small commona area and a computer for internet (free use). They can print your boarding pass for free also. The first day we arrived after 23:00 and there was no issue to di the check in at that time. Rooms are small, of course, but quiet, silent and - most important - clean. There is no breakfast, but this is a good excuse to discover Madrid people's life! The price is really convenient for the location and the quality. Only drawback: some of the staff I can come back here!
"Right in the middle of town and worth the price"
01/21/14 the_0ne New York City, New York
For less than 50 Euros a night, you can't ask for more. The hostel is right in the middle of all the action in the town square. Great restaurants, bars and clubs are all within minutes of this place. The rooms were really small and you can probably reach end to end if you stretch out! There is a small bathroom with hot water. And they had Wifi. Other than that, the staff hardly spoke any English. And didn't understand most of what we asked for.
"Great location, good deal"
10/15/13 badtzmaru5 Dublin, Ireland
We stayed here 3 nights in September. The location is amazing though if you are coming by car (as we were) note that Madrid streets are small and difficult to drive and there is no parking on the street anywhere. We randomly ended up in the parking garage below the Opera which worked out well in terms of location, but it was expensive - 30 euros a day or so. The hotel is a bit difficult to find, but look up - you will see the signs. It's on an off street, so it's not too noisy, but very close to a lot of nightlife. We got a room in the back since other reviews mentioned noise, but we would have been fine in the front (and would have gotten a balcony!). The room was fairly small, but it worked. The bathroom is tiny but clean. Staff are super friendly and even those who don't speak English try to be helpful too. If you want breakfast, you get a voucher for a place around the corner that is decent and has nice staff. It's busy in the later morning so try to go early.
