I am very happy with my stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean and set up properly. Staff was friendly, all vending and services worked as they should. the location of the hotel was a bit weired with the main drive entrance being 1/2 a block a way. Also the elivator was very slow and they only have one elivator. Other then that a good place to rest.

The stay was fine. The room was cleaned, and the location was ideal. However, due to construction it was impossible to see the entrance to the hotel. The sign needs to be bigger so you can see the which parking lot to enter through. I wish the hotel did have a pool. It was a decent rate for a sort stay.

Stayed for the Easter weekend, the hotel is small but very close to everything. You could found a lot of restaurants and stores to shop. The room was in a small size when compared to most of the other hotel chains but it was clean and quiet. Definitely will come back if in the same area.

The hotel really was above and beyond for cleanliness, friendliness, and had great amenities. We stayed one night over easter weekend. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Dawn at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable and really is a great asset to this business.

I was expecting more of a Amish style at the Hotel but it was a pretty regular style similar to Best westhern or any other chain hotels. A bit dated interiour but nothing bad. Breakfast a little better than normal chains as it was freshly made omelettes and more. You can stay here without problem but it's nothing that you need to do either.

Had a great stay* good room very clean, staff was great, good location to highway and ski resorts. *= had nothing to do with hotel but be careful where u eat in Scranton esp Chinese buffets, the wife and I had good food poisoning and the stay at microtel was still great experience. Recommend to others.

I think it is a beautiful place. Everything was very neat and clean. I received excellent service from everyone. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. The only thing that was negative was finding the entrance sign. I would stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were on the first floor and the hotel was full but it was very quiet. The room was clean but reeked of disinfectant or cleaner of some kind - that was kind of gross. Breakfast was adequate. One comfort detail: there were no bedside lamps, the lighting was either all on or off, big bright fluorescent overheads.The […] hotel is visible from the highway ramp but it was hard to find - you have to go past it and turn onto a tiny side street to get to it. We stay in the Scranton area overnight when we leave Buffalo for Long Island, NY after work. Our first stay at this well maintained property with an odd entrance. Fresh looking with an clean breakfast area. Very nice staff and rooms containing nice convenience items. Once you figure out that the entrance comes off a road about a block behind the hotel […] you have it made. I recommend that you make your approach from the I-81 direction on Main Street. We came from the other way in the dark and could not turn in. Went out to dinner then made it the second try. This will be our stop in the Scranton area from now on. Read more

Convenient to I-81, this is a fairly new facility (shows as an empty lot on Google earth). The suite was clean and comfortable, with a fridge, microwave and counterspace. We had a large party stay here for our nearby wedding. The rooms were spotless and very nice. The workers were extremely helpful and accomodating. There was a lot of construction around the hotel, but we never heard any outside noise. This was a fantastic place to stay.

Overall nice hotel. The proximity to the expressway makes for a little road noise, but it was not objectionable. It is very easy to find and get to from that expressway. Also has easy access to lots of restaurants and shops a little ways further north. We drove up on Viewmont Ave., right across the street from the hotel, and found a wide selection.

Stayed for 4 nights near Labor Day weekend. The hotel is pleasant. The suite is comfortable and spacious. I would've given it a higher rating, except that the room was not cleaned every day. The front desk staff was very professional when they were informed of the oversight.

Jim, the owner, was there both days helping take care of breakfast and interacting with the customers. Our room was spotless, breakfast was continental but also included waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt and hard boiled eggs, a nice touch. We were in Scranton with our three grandchildren and the staff was incredibly helpful in helping us plan our activities, […] making good suggestions even going on line and printing out information for us. Only problem we had was that access was difficult, as one had to enter via a poorly marked side street that either required an illegal left turn or reversing direction on a busy street (we had to turn around). It's a very clean and comfortable hotel. It has all the amenities you could want including a fridge and microwave. The breakfast is nothing special, but if you have kids it will save you from another restaurant stop.

Microtel consistently provides a much better service than you would imagine from a two star hotel. It is very clean, well designed, easy to get to, well maintained. Staff is always helpful, and the rooms are both spacious and comfortably designed. We even got a little kitchenette with a sink, and a fridge. Yup, I will stay there next time for sure.

Everything was very nice, clean and friendly. I certainly would stay there again or another Microtel. Breakfast was certainly very ample. Wedding party staying there, we were originally booked on same floor, desk attendant said, let me move you so you don't hear them when they come back from reception, we certainly appreciated that.
