Multimillion-dollar mansions flank Beverly Hills’ palm-lined streets. Lifestyles of the rich and famous are on full view on Rodeo Drive’s boutiques, from Armani to Zegna. Not coincidentally, the Melrose District east of Beverly Hills has excellent secondhand shops. Many up-and-coming design studios are based in Melrose. Nearby, West Hollywood, or WeHo, is the epicenter of Los Angeles gay life.

The hotel staff were very nice. The parking for the hotel is difficult due to being restricted to on street parking or parking at night down the street at a business that is not open.
"my new fave in LA"
Well priced, for LA. I love the location, feels more like living in a neighborhood and not some tourist ghetto. While parking can be an issue, the deal they have with Wells Fargo works and the staff will even move your car in the morning so you don't have to. The Mediterranean restaurant up a block on Wilshire has fantastic felafels and babba-gounish […] (sp?). Canter's deli is only a couple of miles away. Easy non-freeway access to Beverly Hills, WeHo, The Getty, and even downtown. Staying here totally changed how I view LA, very positively. Read more
"Considering it's Beverly Hills"
Almost like a very large B&B. Staff freindly and courteous. We didn't have a car so lack of parking was not an issue. Walls are paper thin. we had a 2nd floor room at the end of the upper corridor next to an open staircase and the night clerk was having an extended conversation with someone that carried up to our room loud & clear at 2:00am!!! Also […] had to call twice because our toilet was not flushing. Went out to our appointments & came back to find the toilet flushing and a plunger!! Next morning touilet was not flushing. Left it for the maid and told the desk again. door security (locks) were what I would expect in the 1950's, very flimsy. Dis nnot feel secure leaving my camera or laptop. Will give them 1 more chance. Read more
"Museum District"
This is an older hotel, 1947 I believe, in a great location (Fairfax & Wilshire). The rooms are clean and quiet and look to have been remodeled in last few years. The only bad thing is only street parking on a residential street. Hard to find a parking place if you come in late.
"Where is the parking?"
No parking at this hotel; you must park on street which is not easy to find late at night in this urban area. Hotel itself is old with narrow hallways and thin walls and doors. This allows for noise transmission of all types whether its your neighbor next door, the guests walking down the hall or on the floor above.
"The Wiltshire Crest Hotel"
Very pleased with my stay. Within a mile of where I needed to be. Was concerned about parking before arriving but they give you a parking permit when you get there. The neighborhood seemed to be safe and very quiet.
"Great Hotel!"
Hotel is located in a nice neighborhood. The staff was very friendly. The room was big and clean.
Very clean and well kept. Friendly and helpful service. Good complimentary breakfast. Nice neighborhood. parking is not easy, but a minor inconvenience for a nice place at a good price.
"Great location"
We went for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The two downsides were the door locks and the cable channels sucked. But we slept great and loved the location.
The Wilshire Crest Hotel is in a great location esp near the Grove, 10 minutes walk. Hotel does not have mod con's ie: lift, pool, laundry. Breakfast standard bagels, cereal, continental pastries etc. Rooms clean and price very reasonable. Beds comfy, although double and not Queen.
"Wilhire Crest:wonderful stay"
This hotel is quiet, clean ,charming. The service was very good. I had no trouble parking on the street, which I was concerned about. I will come here again. I loved it.

"Not worth it"
The bedding is cheap and worn, pillows thin, you can hear EVERYTHING going on around your room- voices in the hall, footsteps on the stairs, traffic, etc. The front desk staff are not rude, but ther are completely indifferent. No smiles, no courtesy, no greetings, no welcomes. When I went to check out, an older Asian woman at the desk stood talking […] on her cell phone, clearly having a personal chat, while I stood 3 feet in front of her waiting to be checked out...for TEN MINUTES! Finally, she put her friend on hold and quickly checked me out, never a word to me except "see you next time". Uh, never! But the deal breaker is, as you have read on so many other reviews of this hotel, the lack of parking! Expect to circle for half an hour and walk for blocks to get from your streetside parking spot to this hotel!! There are too many hotels in LA to ever stay here again! Avoid at all costs. Read more
"Wilshire Crest Hotel in Hollywood"
The hotel is nice and the staff was great. The only problem is parking. The only parking available is on the street and you are competing with the people living in the neighborhood. If you get in at night, and if you are lucky you will find a spot. But, Wells Fargo lets the hotel use their lot at night as long as the car is moved at 8:00 am. The hotel […] staff will move the cars in the morning for you. Otherwise, the hotel is nice and comfortable. Read more
"In the Hood"
What a sweet place, right in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and yet just a block away from the dense retail of Wilshire Drive. Some great little places to eat in the strip mall just across the street on Wilshire--including a Thai/Korean place called Tawanna. But best of all is that fact that just one long block away, easily walkable, is the […] truly impressive LACMA -- the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. More than a dozen Picassos, for starters. All in all, the hotel is a modest yet comfortable little place, great for the price, with a nice continental breakfast better than most. Read more
"Unable to sleep"
I want to write good things about this place but I just can't. It's true that it is very clean and I realize how rare that is. That just can't overcome my anger about the noisiness of the place. Why have walls at all? They are paper thin and I was kept up all night both nights. At my meetings during the day, I was so tired, I was a bumbling idiot. In […] addition, there are no amenities to speak of. I had to borrow a hair dryer from the front desk. I counted four bulbs in my room that were either burned out or removed entirely. There isn't even a parking garage. The second night, I had to park two blocks away and walk alone in the dark to the hotel. Ugh. I can't wait to go home. Read more

"Really cheap, uncomfortable beds...BUT great area"
The hotel's location is great, the neighborhood is adorable, safe, and clean. The hotel itself is the same, cute and clean in common areas and outside. The price is cheap but not THAT much cheaper that I would ever sacrifice the comforts of a slightly upgraded room at a regular hotel would cost. These things bothered me and are the reasons I'd never […] stay here again: bed squeaked EVERYTIME we moved - whether it was to get up and use the restroom or whether it was to turn to a more comfortable position, soooo ANNOYING in the middle of the night! The walls are paper thin and we could hear the kids next door and the people upstairs walking around - squeak squeak squeak. The room smelled funny...like someone had been smoking in it previously and since the room has shag carpet, smells linger. The bed itself wasn't comfortable, aside from the squeak, the bed felt old. This was more like a hostel...but it was very cute from the outside, well kept. Our room was pretty big, we stayed in room 108 and the place only gives you one old school key, vs. a key card so at night someone has to come unlock the front door to let you in. All in all, this wasn't the worst experience ever - but I'd never stay here again, the savings vs. sacrifice of comfort don't add up. Read more
"Wilshire Crest - Unexpected Convenience"
I travel one time per week to LA and try to stay at different locations. I ran across this place by accident. I had to be in Beverly Hills early in the morning and this was a reasonably priced, close option. Upon arrival I was a bit taken aback.... residential neighborhood, no parking garage, etc. However, these things ended up being what made the hotel […] great. No parking hassle with valets, easy to walk to restaurants and peaceful, quiet, safe neighborhood. The room was spacious and clean. It threw me a bit that they handed me a key versus a card, it has been a while since I have seen a key used to unlock a hotel door! The place had the feel of a bed and breakfast, but the convenience of a hotel. Staff was very nice. No blow dryer in room, but they provided one when I called down. Very quiet, no noise from other guests or street. Loved the on street parking. I will go here again! Read more
"Nice and quiet with friendly staff"
Feels quite luxurious for a 2.5 star standard, but the hotel is also quite expensive. Well-stacked continental breakfast with lots of pastries. Fairly close to a bus station going between Santa Monica and downtown (local and rapid), but you really want to have a car if you're staying in L.A. for a while. Wi-Fi available in all rooms but connection […] was a bit sluggish. Cleaning crew is up and about early and they knocked on our door at 8 am two days in a row. Parking available although we didn't use it. Various bus tours in L.A. can be booked through the reception. Read more
"Totally Surprised!"
Being a worldwide business traveler, it takes a lot for me to write a review, but this wonderful little hotel is a jewel. We arrived extremely late and the wonderful gentleman at the desk moved our car for us in the morning for street cleaning.......what a surprise. The staff was friendly and courteous and exceptionally gracious. Centrally located within […] walking distance of the LACMA and the Farmers Market, it is an urban jewel. Tastefully decorated, and an oasis of home in a big city. Read more

Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms do not have microwave ovens but the staff at the front desk were happy to help us at any time of the day. Modern and clean rooms in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommended!
"Wilshire Crest Hotel Los Angeles - great location"
For the Beverly Hills area this small boutique hotel has a great location. The room was very quite, clean and the bed felt so comfortable. Breakfast was also very good and clean. Staff was also very nice and helpful. My biggest complaint about this hotel is that there is no parking, so with the parking permit they give you, you have to find a place […] on the street. Sometimes I had to drive around for 30 mins. to find a spot. That was most inconvenient. Also, being a woman I didn't like that I had to walk so far at night on the dark residential streets to get to the hotel after parking 3 blocks away. If I wasn't by myself I would gladly stay here again. But for the parking situation alone if I am by myself I will book somewhere else. Other then that, I liked it very much. Read more
"Best LA location ever"
My family got tickets for the Tim Burton show in LCMA and when I looked for a nearby hotel I found this one. It's perfectly located so you can walk there without taking a car. So convenient. There are a couple of other museums within walking distance too (Peteson's Auto' Arquitecture). I also discovered that as it's just off Wilshire Ave. , you'll never […] get lost in that part of LA. If you want to go to the Getty, Hollywood. Beverly Hills... this is great. That avenue connects with everything. The rooms are very nice, the breakfast OK without luxury, and the neighborhood feels safe and decent. There are a few good sandwich places nearby, but The Grove and the Farmers's Market offer better dining if you want it. You should know that the free parking mentioned means you get a permit to park on that block. It was never a problem, but it's street parking. I will definitely be coming back again. Read more
"Decent hotel and good location for the price"
We wanted a quiet and comfortable room within easy driving distance of the sights we had planned for our 3-night stay. Wilshire Crest fit the bill. The room was simple and clean, and faced an adjacent building rather than the street, thus quiet. Hall noise was not a problem. We were wondering about security because there are two entrances, one by the […] front desk and one further over which accesses the other wing, and the room door didn't seem very solid. There is only a handle lock, no deadbolt, and a security latch when inside the room. However the neighborhood seems good and we had no problems at all. As noted by others, parking is on-street and the front desk gives you a permit for daytime parking, but street cleaning Monday and Tuesday mornings could require you to move before 9am. We were able to unload and load in front of the hotel and had no problem finding parking within a block each night. Front desk staff was somewhat brusque on check-in but friendly and helpful the other days. Breakfast is nothing special, all sweet and carby things not in my diet, and we ate out instead. Read more
"Pretty good hotel"
The hotel is quaint, quiet and in a really good location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issues we had were a leaky toilet and parking. The former was noted by the staff and presumably taken care of the latter is a produuct of being in LA. There is no onsite parking, only along the residential street which can fill up quickly in the evening. […] Also, the streets are cleaned on Monday and Tuesday, one side on each day, and parking tickets are 68$, so be sure to move you car on those mornings if not sooner. Read more
"Surprising Gem in Beverly Hills area"
The Wilshire Crest is a small boutique hotel in a lovely quiet neighborhood, very close to downtown Beverly Hills (about a mile from the Grove). The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. I was a little nervous at first because the price seemed low for the area, but our stay was really wonderful! Parking was free. I'm pretty fussy when it […] comes to hotels, but I would definitely stay there again. The management was very pleasant and attentive. Don't hesitate - it's a gem! Read more
"Wilshire Crest, A bit Difficult"
When arriving to check-in no one was available. Had to wait at least 15 minutes until someone showed up. It was not late either. Free Parking? well it is free because it was on the STREET and had to walk back a few blocks to the Hotel. They shouldn't say Free parking , just NO parking. Door locks were not too secure. No Bolt lock. What is that about […] ? Read more
"OK for the price"
This hotel was in the perfect location for my business and the price was definitely right. I made a number of requests at the front desk and they were immediately responsive. "Clean and Comfy"
I chose the hotel based on the location and other reviews, and I was not disappointed. The room was pristine -- clean and comfy - and the location was great for everything we planned to do. "Excellent Service"
Stayed and returned on the same trip in US. Great place, feel like home stay. Service is great!
"Wilshire Crest"
The hotel is clean and well maintained staff friendly and helpful. It is in an ideal place for any Jewish traveller as it is close by the LA Jewish community and provides a kosher continental breakfast.
"Great hotel in a quiet location"
The Wilshire Crest is situated on the corner of a residential road, parking is on the street and the hotel has permits for customers to place in cars in order to park there. We did not find too much in terms of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but there are shops and an ATM not too far away. This hotel was excellent value. Our hotel […] room was good, very clean, a good size and quiet being on the inside rather than with a roadsde window. The reception are is very pleasant too and has a PC for customer use with a few sofa's if you want a change of scenary from your room. breakfast is included in the rate but it was abit limited but fine if you just want a coffee and a pastry or toast. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful to us, advising on what is and is not walkable and ordering taxi's when we needed them. We found the best restaurants to be a 5 minute taxi journey on Robertson Blvd and Burton Way. There are some really good clothes shops on Robertson also!! :-) Read more
"Wilshire Crest - A homely boutique hotel"
We had a wonderful stay at this homely boutique hotel. They served simple breakfast but that is more than enough for us to start our day. Everything is great - room is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. I would say this is the best hotel stay I had among the 3 cities that I had visited this vacation.

"Wilshire Crest Hotel Los Angeles - Recomendo"
L'hotel è in stile molto europeo, molto ben posizionato e in un quartiere tranquillo. Vicino a mezzi di trasrto e fermata dei bus turistici Hop-on Hop-off. Una buon rapporto qualità/prezzo.
"petit hôtel au charme désuet"
Charme désuet pour cet hôtel très bien situé dans Los Angeles. Chambre agréable, très propre. Bon choix.
