"Will definitely stay again!!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 26, 2013
Amazing staff! Super nice and helpful. Great location though it gets noisy at night due to close proximity to downtown bars. Wouk definitely stay again.
"Convenient Location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 19, 2013
The location of this hotel was just right for folks who don't want to be right in the middle of the action. Just a 2/3 block walk takes you where most of the shops, bars, cafes are. Also, you couldn't beat the nice view of the new Harpa Concert hall all lit up every night across from the hotel. Size wise, the room was pretty standard for European rooms I've stayed in before. As mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom will get wet after a shower. There also isn't storage for your clothes so put a sweater on over that wrinkled shirt you just pulled out of your suitcase. They gave my wife and I a room on the 1st floor. It was incredibly loud in the mornings with slamming doors and the clip clop of heels and dress shoes. Request a room on a higher floor. The front desk service couldn't have been better. They helped with car rental, restaurant info & airport shuttle and were generally pleasant and friendly. I would stay here again, but request a different floor to stay on.
"Beautiful decorations"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 16, 2013

"My hotel in reykyavik"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Feb 4, 2013
I'm recommending it to all of my friends who go to Reykyavik, I loved it, from the simplicity and elegance of the decor to the super courteous, friendly and helpful staff...also excellent location. I loved the beds with white down pillows and comforters, like sleeping on a cloud! And the views of the city are exquisite!

Just what we expected. This is an apartment and not a hotel and it worked fine. Spacious, clean, good cooking facilities for breakfast and lunch and a perfect location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"37 Apartments - Spacious, convenient, central!"
Myself, my 60 year old mother and my 25 year old brother stayed at 37 Apartments for a week (Saturday - Saturday) in late February and loved it. We rented the top floor, and the apartment was extremely spacious and light, with a great outdoor patio space, view of the city, large living room, working kitchen and dining space, and two bedrooms plus a […] very large bathroom. It was extremely centrally located - right on the main shopping street in town, which made it extremely easy to walk everywhere in the city. We made tour reservations through hotel Fron, right across the street, as they were able to arrange tour bus pickups/dropoffs for us there, which worked great. Aegir (the manager) couldn't have been nicer, and he lives right next to the place, so was available when we needed him (one time), but not "hovering" by any means. Also note as this isn't a hotel, you don't get daily housekeeping. Didn't bother us as we kept the place tidy and liked the independance, but if you need housekeeping, stay in a traditional hotel. Do note: If you are very sensitive to noise at night, be warned - the street 37 Apartments is on (and Fron, a hostel and many others) is noisy on Friday nights - from about 10 pm to 2-3 a.m as the street is populated with many restaraunts and bars in addition to shops. It's perfectly fine all other nights, but Icelanders like their Fridays (and to a lesser degree saturdays) - so if you are going to find this frustrating (or don't plan to be out with the revelers) you may want to look for accommodations on a less central/busy street. Highly recommend the top suite of 37 Apartments!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing Place to Stay in Reykjavik"
We (my fiancee and I) booked a trip to Iceland to celebrate our engagement in October of 2011. 37 Apartments stood out immediately from a quick glance of the available guest ratings and reviews, so we booked a studio apartment for our 3 night stay. To say we couldn't have been happier is an understatement. We arrived in Reykjavik early (~8AM) on a […] Friday morning. Admittedly, we had a bit of a hard time finding the apartment block as it is set back from the street a bit. We stopped into the youth hostel across the street to ask for directions. They were kind enough to let us use their phone to call the innkeeper, Aegir Dagsson. Within 3 minutes, he jogged through the door with his dog, greeting us enthusiastically. On the short walk across the street he told us a little about the city, inquired as to our plans and gave us some good advice on where to go/what to see. Once we got into the room, it was apparent that we had been upgraded to a one bedroom. Aegir took us through, cheerily assured us that there were plenty of supplies in case we had forgotten something and made himself available for anything else we needed the entire rest of our trip (be warned that the rooms don't have a hair dryer, so come prepared. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautiful with a nice view of the city, balcony and everything we could possibly ask for. The location is perfect as it's on Reykjavik's main shopping/restaurant/bar street and all we needed was easily within walking distance. The parking is convenient and free as well. We absolutely plan on staying again next time we come through Iceland This is most definitely THE place to stay in Reykjavik and we will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who is considering going. "37 Apartments in Reykjavik-Amazing!"
We could not be happier with our stay at the 37 Apartments. They are located on Laugavegur, the main shopping street in Reykjavik. You are within a 10 minute walk of the city centre, new performing arts complex, geothermal pools, ocean, and the self-proclaimed best hot dog stand in the universe. The apartments themselves are brand new, beautifully designed […] accommodations. We stayed in the one bedroom, which featured a beautiful kitchen, flat screen TV, soft couch, and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Be sure to contact the owner before you arrive, as he or his wife will need to meet you in order to give you your key cards (there is no formal reception desk). "Highly recommended"
Great location, just off the main shopping street, 5 min walk to the main downtown city centre. (Reykjavik in general is very walkable). Aegir was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I gave a 3/5 rating for service because it's mostly self-service, not like a hotel where your sheets are changed every day. But nevertheless, this was exactly what […] we were looking for for our 5-night stay: a place that's comfortable, convenient, and spacious. Our unit didn't face the street so we didn't hear the street/bar noise. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Like staying at your own place, perfect location"
This accommodation was great, location was perfect, on one of the main shopping streets, five minutes away form the center of town. The flat we got (I understand not all are the same) was spacious, had a very well-equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom and a huge TV. The owner is very friendly and ready to help out with any problem if needed. Thoroughly […] recommend this flat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely hotel but only stay in the studio if you can sleep despite a LOT of noise from the street!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent location - right on the main street. Friendly owner and the lasy who does the housekeeping was very nice. The apartment looked just like the pictures: it was modern and minimalist with clean lines and art from notable local Icelandic artists. It had a well stocked kitchenette, meaning we could prepare some meals (as dining out in Iceland is […] kinda pricey) It was also cosy and warm. It was a plesant experience all round. "Convenience and trendiness"
The appartments are trendy and decorated with style. They are confortable and spacious and most importantly clean. They are located in the busiest street and close to tourist information centers. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitly recommend this placeGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"37 Apartments"
Lovely place, with friendly owner. We were given the upgrade as no one else was staying, (this is the one in the pictures) and it was amazing. Great location, warm, and cozy. The only downside was that as it was on a main road, it was very noisy til about 2am.. but .. I wouldnt let this put you off. We had a very nice stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Midt i sentrum, men mye bråk"

"37 apartments - In the middle of everything"
Big apartment with a huge bed. Clean and nice right downtown. Bear in mind that it is an apartment and not a hotel. Great cooking possibilities with a full kitchen and big bathroom Very minimal decorations, could be a painting or two on the walls and maybe a plant. Very affordable compared to other locations downtown Reykjavik Would recommendGenuine Hotels.com guest review
