The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was great. The complimentary breakfast had a great assortment of cheeses, meats, fruit, cereal, and croissants and bread. . It is across the street from the lake so the view is pretty from the rooms.

My wife and I travelled to Lugano for a business meeting that I had and we chose this hotel so that she could enjoy the city while I attended meetings. Everything is well within walking distance of this hotel, while they also have nearby parking as we had a car. Our room fronted the lake and we also enjoyed the view from the breakfast room the following morning. It is an older hotel with character and an efficient staff. We would stay here again.

Impeccable service from a highly professional staff makes you feel that this is your home. The service is genuine and friendly-- never forced or pretentious. The location is convenient and the views are postcard perfect. The building is grand and has been undergoing some needed maintenance and renovation,. The work is being done in a quiet and considerate manner;& and, as a guest, I was completely unaware that any work was being done during my stay. I look forward to my next stay, and I will be a regular guest in all seasons.

This is the first time I have used hotels.com and the write-up was not representative of the hotel. This is a three star hotel and the rooms I was first given were like a youth hostel room, one did not even have a window to look out of. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Es ist aber sehr einfach eingerichtet. Das Hotel liegt in einer schönen, grünen Umgebung mit Parkanlage. Der Ausblick ist spitze. Das Restaurant und die Terrasse sind auch schön. Leider war die Rezeptionistin aber bei der Abreise sehr unfreundlich, weshalb der Aufenthalt nicht nur in guter Erinnerung bleibt. Monte Veritá hotel er belligende i smukke Ascona på Monte veritá bjerget omgivet af en smuk park / have og har den smukkeste udsigt. Hotelets personale er meget service minded og venlige. Værelest blev gjordt rent, sengetøjet skiftet og der kom nye håndklæder hver dag. Hotelet har også en tennisbane og man kan låne både ketcher og bold. Das Hotel ist sehr schön und ruhig oberhalb von Ascona in einem Park gelegen. Mit dem Auto ist die Anreise kein Problem. Zu Fuss erreicht man die Uferpromenade in 10 Minuten. Das Hotel ist einfach aber eben speziell im Bauhaus-Stil gehalten. Die Sonnenterrasse lädt zum Essen oder einem Drink ein. Das Frühstück könnte etwas besser sein.

Fassade und Zimmereinrichtung des 1928 von Emil Fahrenkamp in typischem Bauhausstil entworfenen Hotels (wird heute auch als Tagungszentrum genutzt) wurden unlängst mit grossem technischen und wissenschaftlichen Aufwand rekonstruiert. Entsprechend sachlich-kühl kommen die Zimmer daher (keine Teppiche, kein Fernseher, aber schöne Stahlrohrmöbel und bis […] zu den Türbeschlägen und Einbauschrankgriffen alles epochengerecht) - ein Muss für Bewunderer des Bauhauses. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, da und dort bröckelt der Putz. Für einen kurzen Tripp in Ascona und Umgebung aber vollkommen ok. Nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Gute und Preiswerte Küche. Für den nächsten Wochenendaufenthalt würden wir wieder hingehen.
