Holiday Inn Manchester-Media City UK - Salford

This hotel was what one expects from Holiday Inn. The room did have a bit of an odor of cleaning supplies, and the outside window was pretty dirty, but the room itself was sparkling clean. The staff here were excellent -- very friendly and extremely helpful.

The hotel was very conveniently located. Was a 2 minute walk to the tram which could be used to be taken to the city center or the main train station. Also close to the outlet mall & Manchester United Stadium. The room was clean & the hotel staff were courteous. Overall a good stay.

This hotel is in a great location if you want quiet stay, but it is also very easy to get into the city centre by the metro which is close by. It is beside the new BBC media centre, next to a Booths supermarket and cafe, also has plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was very clean and modern and rooms have great views. Have stayed here several times,choose hotel for the location , ample parking and easy access to Manchester.Rooms always comfortable and clean.Only problem with stay this time was the matress,seemed to have problem with rolling together in middle ?? So not such a comfortable night.But other than that no problems. Will stay again.

The holiday Inn is part of Media city next to the BBC in Manchester. The hotel is a good quality Holiday Inn with good view if you on a high floor 16 floors in total. The room rates are med- high and if you ask for Breakfast expect to £15 extra each day, and exect to pay an additional £10 a night extra for multistory carparking (no where else to park). […] The area is industrial but a walk over the railway gives access to shopping. Commuting to/from to elsewhere in Manchester is nightmare in rush hour as the canal gets in the way for direct routes. Read more

Second time I've stayed at this hotel and its pretty much great -- just a couple of minor points. Our room was on the eighth floor and I decided to walk down the stair case at the back of the floor, because the lifts were pretty busy. I got all the way to the bottom only to find the doors locked and had to reclimb the stairs all the way back to floor […] eight. A sign on floor eight saying the staircase was still under construction would have been nice! Finally, for some reason, we were given a room with a disabled bathroom and I couldn't fit under the shower (I'm 6ft 4). Didn't notice until the morning when I came to use it and too late to request a change at that point as we were only staying one night. Would have been nice if it had been mentioned at check in. Other than that the hotel was good, drinks were reasonable and it was very clean. Booking process via hotels.com also easy to use. Read more

My stay at this Holiday Inn was great. The room was clean and comfortable. It was 2 short blocks from the tram which took about 15 minutes to get you to a transfer bus (normally the tram would take you all the way to core of the downtown, but there was track maintenance taking place). Hotel breakfast should not just be PORK at least it should be mixed with Beef for other people to be able to eat ... Breakfast was ok but the Hotel can do better with the level of Food.... They need to have PORK for people that eat Pork and also have Beef for other costomers...

Absolutely enjoyable experience. This was definatley one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The room was lovely and the view overlooking media city and the skyline of manchester was fantastic. The hotel is very modern and stylish. Not very easy to find. My room was lovely, although only a standard room. There was a lot of space. The view from the room was fabulous although it wasn't overlooking the quays. There was one drawback, during the night I was awoken several times by a very loud noise that happened every time the water was turned […] on. By far the best hotel, and not only because it is the only hotel, in its location (MediaCity). All other places withion MediaCity are within walking distance.. Parking is an an adjacent multi-storey. Good value breakfast
