"6-day winter stay 2013"
Personnel: very nice, responsive. A+ Location: very convenient Hotel: Lobby: efficient, clean, adequate a.m. snacks Hallways: smelled old & dirty (walls & carpet) Room: much better, very clean, fridge & micro provided upon request Heat: noisy but adequate Bed: OK, linens clean & extra pillows provided upon request Bath: Clean, brightly lit. Clean towels […] that did not smell like bleach or fabric softener. A+ Hot water: took 20-30 minutes to get hot. Mgmt should warn people about this on top floor rooms. Water (pipes) also very noisy from adjacent rooms. Wifi: worked, sometimes took a while to get started TV: fine, but you have to get a special code to use remote View: to the south, for me very depressing esp in winter dark and wet weather. If you don't look out the windows, no problem. Noise level: seemed very quiet, tho I was aware of folks next door when they were there. Rates: certainly reasonable -- the reason for staying there. If I stay there again I might try a lower room on the north side. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Downtown, good price"
WE only stayed one night for the purpose of having someplace closer to Downtown Portland to stay after a late night hanging out with friends. The staff were nice enough to let us check-in as a "late arrival." The room was very basic with a mini fridge and microwave. No view but in the end it was chosen for it's location and price: not for its views […] and frills. They DID NOT provide at complimentary toiletries which are expected, and advertised. Very lame. The water coming out of the shower head was also very hard so I ended up having the worst hair=day ever the next morning. But other than all that it was an OK hotel and we'd probably go back. : ) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I have a yearly event very near the motel. I've stayed here three times. It's not the fanciest place, but it's clean, and quite. It's a great value for the dollar and I'd happily recommend it. Only slight negative is that the FREE Wi-Fi is a little spotty, but it's FREE, so you really can't complain!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice little secret in a great older neighborhood!"
Shhhhhhh! Don't tell everyone about this quaint older, but clean & updated motel!Genuine Expedia guest review
Quiet and comfortableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Needed a place convenient to OHSU for a week while my husband had surgery and this place fit the bill. Rooms are clean, spacious and bright with a small fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable. 5 min drive from Fred Meyers and Starbucks. Very pleasant indeed. Will book again for our follow-ups.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A great overnight stay for the price and a quick drive to downtown as it's right on the highway. Didn't notice much traffic noise and the rooms were clean, beds pretty comfy. Only qualms was that the TV made a loud buzzing noise when on and there were no fridge or microwave, but I didn't really expect any for such a low price. Free parking was a HUGE […] plus. Recommended or short stays! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A nice surprise in Portland"
I booked this room primarily because it was close to my son's college. Although the motel is older, the room I stayed in looked like it had been updated within the last few years. It was not fancy, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The continental breakfast was excellent. Coffee fresh, hot […] and very good. Muffins that tasted like they came from a bakery instead of a grocery store package. Parking was easy (and free) in the lot adjacent to the motel. And the motel was five minutes from the school. The hotel is conveniently located for Portland and the surrounding sites. I visited for my niece's wedding, and was able to do everything I needed to do without having to drive more than 20 minutes from the hotel. That also included a trip to the minor league park for some baseball. The drawback to the great price and clean room: No clock! And that […] meant no alarm. When I asked for a wake up call, it didn't happen. Luckily I set my alarm on my cell phone and I was able to wake up on time to checkout and get to the airport and make my flight. Everything was great except that one detail, which I'm sure won't be a big deal as long as you can bring your own alarm clock. Staff, hotel room, convenience, cleanliness - all get an A rating. "Decent for the price"
Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly but hotel is older and could use an update. Neighborhood is a little sketchy at night but not too bad. Room had a very odd smell and bathroom door wouldn't shut all the way. Overall it was what we expected for the price. Wouldn't want to stay here for a vacation destination by any means but it worked well […] for a single nights stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Property is a motel. Pretty typical for a motel. Bathroom and beds clean. Fridge and micro in room. Carpet stained. Office staff nice. No creamer for coffee other than powered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The motel was clean ,basic and adequate. The office staff members were very friendly and accommodating. Almost all rooms have stairs if that's a concern for anyone. Internet was very slow.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
breakfast was so-so. no shampoo or conditioner in room.(had to ask for it) no coffee maker in room, and mini fridge was noisy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The outside looks average but everything else was excellent for the price!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A good bet for a stay in Multnomah Village"
Our room was clean, comfortable, and easy to find. The continetnal breakfast was handy, too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
although our room was clean the rest of the hotels needs TLC. the hallway carpet was filthy and smell. Staff was friendlyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was a good value. The staff was friendly and courteous. It would be helpful if they had maybe a couple of irons available at the front desk for customers' use.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean and quiet. Close to PPC-Sylvania.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Two major issues for my family. First, we reserved a room for 2 adults and 3 children, but that was not the room we got and they had no cot to wheel in to remedy the situation. A room for five really needs to be just that. Second, the wireless was horrible with lots of packet drops and frequent intermittent disconnects. We really needed better wireless […] for a variety of reasons. The good news is that both of these things are correctable. Hopefully, management will take this as constructive feedback. Impressed with the cleanliness of the room and helpfulness of the day front desk staff as well as the cleaning staff. For the price, I would consider staying here again. Complimentary breakfast was limited and the room had no iron or ironing board. Wireless internet worked well and noise from nearby 4-lane street was limited.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice little place"
Great little place to stay if you have a layover in portland and don't need to be downtown. I had two layovers and stayed at the Aladin inn on one and the Inn At The Convention Center on the other. I should have stayed at the Aladin for both. Clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
Our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. A nice breeze came through with the windows open. The front desk staff was very friendly and competent.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great motel at a great price"
Nothing fancy here, but fancy is not what we were after. Rooms were clean, fridge an microwave. Bathroom was a little outdated, shower was new, though, and water pressure was good. The nice thing about a motel is that you can park you car right in front of the door, easy access especially if you are out and about a lot.Genuine Expedia guest review
The accommodations are basic but decent for the price. The staff were friendly and helpful allowing us in a bit early for breakfast as we had to be somewhere.Genuine Expedia guest review
THE HOTEL WAS VERY CLEAN AND PATRICK WAS VERY HELPFUL, WE HAD TO CALL FOR DIRECTIONSGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price!"
We were really happy for the price. The continental breakfast was decent. The neighbor hood had a couple of local restaurants, beers and a grocery store. One the downside the hotel is about 15 min from downtown and the room had a bizarre fan with a slight smell when we got there. It did seem to dissipate though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had some plumming problems in my room the first night. Brought it to the front desks attention first thing in the morning and they put me in a new room right away. Customer service was very good and friendly. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good except for water issues"
Room was reasonably clean and heating unit worked well. Water temperature, however, was tepid at best, and I had to run the water for a bit before the color turned from brown to clear. Front desk staff was very friendly and efficient, and price was much lower than most hotels in Portland proper. Wireless internet speed was slow but acceptable. In most […] aspects, given the price, this place is pretty decent, but the issues with the water are a deal breaker for me personally. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal place for me to stay in this area."
The hotel is conveniently located just off bus route #12 from downtown Portland...handy if you don't hire a car. I had a quiet and larger third floor interior room (not sure if there's an elevator as I used the stairs) but it had an extra card-access only locked door to that section if you're worried about security. I had to ask for shampoo, and no […] separate hair conditioner or body lotion was offered. Breakfast was basic....only muffins, bagels and juice, oatmeal with hot water, but there's a Subway close by. Fridge in room. I also walked to the Down to Earth Cafe - Excellent food. "Convenient location to downtown--great breakfast!"
Simple and clean accommodation--no frills but none needed. Very good continental breakfast--I especially appreciated the yogurts and the wheat bread, plus fresh fruit. We will probably stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing fancy, but clean"
I would definitely stay here again. Clean, standard hotel room for a good price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our stay at the Aladdin - it's very easy to get to downtown Portland via Barbur Blvd (skip the freeway) and the room was clean/staff friendly. My biggest complaint was the mattress, which sagged rather a lot in the middle but we'd definitely stay again. The hotel breakfast includes pastries but for anyone needing low-carb options it didn't […] have much in the way of options. Otherwise great value. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Basic but clean"
This is a very basic motel. There were no extras like shampoo nor even a towel bar near the sink. It was, however, clean and the breakfast was fresh and adequate. In addition, the desk staff was warm and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overall, It was ok."
After reading other reviews, I was aware we were not getting anything fancy, but we ok with that. The front desk girls were very friendly, but the gentlemen in the morning who was setting up breakfast was downright rude to every customer eating breakfast. Made it very uncomfortable to want to be in there, So we left..Our room was very basic. It was […] difficult to not have anything like a coffee maker, lotion, ect. We didnt even have hand soap to wash our hands after using the bathroom, we had to go buy our own. We had our children with us, which made it a bit more of an adventure. Our bathroom floor had what looked like urine on it? But the way it was on the floor, it looked like it might be draining from the bottom of the toilet. We just avoided the bathroom all together, unless needing to use the toilet. The room had almost a dirty feel, maybe because it smelled musty. It was fine for an overnight stay, but if we were on vacation, and needing a cozy home'y feeling, we probably wont choose Aladdin again.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the money!"
Only a few min away from downtown Portland. Tv was old, but wasn't in the room much. Great place for your money.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Traveling on a budget"
we found this hotel to suit our purpose very well. It was clean, friendly and close to everything we needed. If you are the adventurous type it is within walking distance of some unique shopping. Take a GPS and explore, I highly recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great family place to stay"
Clean hotel in a nice neighborhood. It's a bit out of town but bus 12 is right across the street and its about 20 minutes to get downtown. Very friendly staff. There is some food within walking distance. Really great place to stay with a family.Genuine Expedia guest review
Quiet location and clean but tiny harsh towels and extremely hard mattress.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Being only 6 mins from downtown Portland, its a great choice for the frugal vacationer. The inn was well kept and the rooms were clean. The room was furnished with a mini fridge and a microwave which some may find it convenient. The quietness, free parking and wireless Internet adds to the great value this place offers. The biggest downfall for us on […] this trip was the very low water pressure from the shower head and the Internet cutting in and out on our second night. I would recommend this place. "Nice, clean and convenient."
We stayed for Memorial Day weekend in Portland which is a pretty busy one. Very glad we chose Aladdin Inn. Made reservations a few days before our trip. The room was nice. Nothing fancy, but comfortable and since my son has food allergies having a full kitchen made things so nice and easy. We bought a few groceries and were able to make some easy meals....omelets […] for breakfast for instance. The breakfast served in the lobby was nice. Orange juice, coffee, fruit, instant oatmeal packets, assorted muffins, bread, bagels, english muffins, etc. We just went down and got the toasted breads and came up and made our own breakfast. The wireless internet reached our room, but was very slow since we were at the far end of the hotel. I just took my laptop and did my business in the lobby for about half an hour each day. The only thing that could have been better was the TV. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was nicely updated yet simple. The only thing that could have been better was the TV. It is a 19" old school color TV. I guess when you're used to a 50" flatscreen it's kind of hard to get used to, but since we were gone all day the only time we watched it was at night so it wasn't too bad. Overall, for the price I would definitely recommend the Aladdin Inn. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Value Friendly Staff"
My husdand and I took a weekend trip to Portland and were looking for an inexpensive place to stay. We came across Aladdin Inn and it looked like a good value. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. It is nothing fancy but was plenty for what we needed. The only downside was it was a little out of the way of downtown but considering the price […] it was a great find. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"10 minutes from Portand"
good place to stay if seeing Portland. Nice large room, affordable price, breakfast consisted of pastries, fruit and coffee. Took 10-15 minutes to downtown Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

For the price, the room was clean, the staff friendly, acceptable free breakfast in the morning, good teriyaki restaurant across the street to grab dinner. Not the Ritz, but felt comfortable there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"11 days at the Alladin Hotel and Suites"
We came for a family funneral. Even though the hotel is older, it was very clean and the staff helped us emensely. You have a wonderful staff at the desk. They are very pleasant and efficient. This hotel would be good for those folks passing through or in the area for business. I do not think families do well here because children are noisy and there […] is no swimming pool ect. My Mother and I were not at the hotel very much, the only other thing I would mention is that the beds could be firmer. Thank You very much. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Live at the coast and came in for family and friends to celebrate grandson's birthday at the Lucky Labrador in Multnomah. Hotel within walking distance to the wonderful village. Met family and had a great stay and even greater time! Great place for a short stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is really a 3.5 star hotel, but I'm feeling generous. The good things are that the rooms are clean, it has free password protected wifi (so in theory, not as many people trying to steal it), complementary breakfast (bakery, yogert, fruits), rooms are pretty big, even when there's two queen size beds, the staff is friendly, and the parking lot is […] pretty huge. Although it is not anywhere walkable to major attractions, it's just a short drive and it's in a very quiet neighborhood and it felt safe. The bad things are that there's no hair dryer or alarm clock (seriously, no clock), the fan/ventilation is actually very loud even at the low speed (we stayed in this place on two separate occasions and both rooms are like this), the sink and its counter is pretty small though, and the bathroom ventilation is really just a window, but it opens to the main hallway where people can see if they walk by. There's no elevators, but that's generally the case for all inns. Overall, not too bad, but it could be better. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Alladdin Inns & Suites Portland Or"
Decent motel, cheap and clean. The room was a little worn around the edges, but very clean. The motel was very close to the Multnomah Arts Center, so it was very convenient for my purposes. The lobby was nicely done- the outside of the motel was very clean. They offer a morning continental breakfast. I was very pleased at how quiet the rooms where.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
