It would have been more comfortable to sleep on the floor than sleep in the bed in our room. Beds in China are usually quite hard but this one was ridiculously so. Staff checking us in hardly made eye contact with us and carried on a conversation with each other the whole time. Tyvärr så kan inte personalen någon engelska. hotellet ligger i utkanten av staden ca 2 km att gå för att komma till centrum. När vi bokade detta hotell så fick vi information om att personalen var flersprigiga och att de kunde hjälpa till med utflykter mm. Det stämmer inte tyvärr mycket knackig engelska med mycket missförstånd eftersom de inte förstår […] vad man säger. Och de som sköte uppleveslebokningar kunde absolut ingen engelska. Voor een of twee dagen een prima hotel om te overnachten. Op slechts 5 minuten lopen van het station en supermarkten en eetgelegenheden. Als je aan de achterzijde van het hotel zit hoor je voortdurend de treinen langskomen. Kan hinderlijk zijn. Hotelpersoneel spreekt nauwelijks engels!

Good morning everybody, I absolutely do not recommend foreigners to spend time in this hotel except if they can speak mandarin chinese! Even tourists reception office can not speak a single word of english! Obviously, it is the same for hotel stewardesses! Moreover in the surrounding areas, nobody could speak english, even in banks, and people are […] not very welcoming! In conclusion, Guilin is a very nice place for sighseeing "with guides", since at least, they are able to speak a good english, but pay close attention not to be defrauded by them!
