I stayed for 3-nights and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room rate included daily housekeeping, breakfast, wifi, and a free shuttle to DMall. The breakfast options are American, Phillipino, or Korean. All three breakfasts were good. The room was clean and included soaps and shampoo. The hotel is in a quiet part of town and about a 3-minute walk to the nearby beach and about an 8-minute walk to White Beach. Overall, this was a good value accommodation.

My partner and I enjoyed our stay at Surfside.......it was good value for money in a convenient area in walking distance to the shops and so close to the beach. The Japanese styled restaurant was really good too. The staff were very helpful and even arranged a private transfer back to the Ferry on our last day as they found out I was not feeling too well. We did not even have to ask them this- what great service!

All in all a very nice hotel. Although located very near the beach and the shopping and restaurant areas at White Beach, the hotel is quiet and have a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and there is only one important thing missing, namely wifi at the hotel rooms. You have to go to the reception area to get online, and in this day and age this is not good enough. Especially in a hotel at this price range.

Room on 4th floor did not have free WIFI as promised due to incompetence of on-site technician. Since this was the most important thing for us, we asked to be moved to cheaper room on second floor which picked up the lobby WIFI, or allow us to move to another hotel. After that they made a thousand false promises to get it fix but the never delivered. […] At one point the manager came up with a cached Internet site on her cell phone trying to say nothing was wrong...an outright lie. We succumbed to going to the lobby to use the Internet and then that quit working for the last two days of our three day stay. Additionally we verified with the front desk prior to making a local call that we would not be charged, and of course we got the absolutely not from the front desk, but upon checkout we had a charge. The positive things were the location, room cleanliness, good free breakfast, friendliness of staff. The main negative thing is the staff we tell you pleasantly they were going to do something for you, but then they didn't deliver...my guess is because the were not empowered to do so, or they weren't trained properly.
