We were set for a family weekend where my daughter would compete in a pageant. We budgeted money carefully and wanted to pay for our room ahead of time so, we used hotels.com. At check in, Super 8 pre-authorized my debit card without telling me for the entire amount of our room...even tho it was already pd for...leaving us with way less money than planned. […] They refused to release it and eventually took 3 days after we chkd out to get it back! I'm always kinda leary about staying at a Super 8 because they are usually pretty runned down. But I decided to give this one a try because it was new & I wasn't dissapointed. Super large room & even had a couch. My only gripe was that house keeping started pounding on our door at 8am even though check out wasn't til 11am. We have family in town and stay several times a year at various hotels. For the price this Super 8 is a great place to stay. We stayed for the first time this weekend, had a very nice king room, huge! End of hall by the stairs (a little noisy with the door slamming but tolerable). We have stayed here 3times before which is why we choose this hotel. I was very dissappointed in the pool area it was dirty and very cold! Nothing like previous experience. Despite the fact that I had to take my husband to the ER twice our room was clean, comfortable, staff was friendly and hepful. The fact that we had an iron, iron board, blow dryer, microwave, small fridge, and a washer and dryer available, plus a great rate made our stay even better!

Our upstairs rooms (across the hall) were some of the largest we have ever stayed in. Very new, clean, well maintained, and quiet location. NOTE: no elevator to second floor!! I was at this hotel for 3 weeks, and during that time, the staff was all great. There was always plenty of breakfast, even though after 3 weeks it gets boring. On the highway, but quite a ways from everywhere you would need in Cedar Falls. Nice pool, always busy with people. Small hot tub, but nice if you can catch it empty. Overall a great stay.

Super 8 in Cedar Falls Iowa. This hotel is pretty new, so everything is still shiny and fresh. I wouild recommend it to anyone; we will stay there again for sure. The staff was very friendly.

The juice still tastes like cleaning products. Nasty. They do not have an ice bucket for the milk to be placed in to keep it cold. So, by 8am the milk is room temperature. Weak. Plan to go elsewhere to for a decent breakfast.

The pool and hot tub were great although there aren't a lot of tables and chair to be used in the pool area. The hotel is ok. It is fairly new, but will probably be a junk place in a couple years. Even without expecting much, the breakfast they offered was small and none of it was good. Just left the milk out and it was warm by the time I got to it. The juice tasted like cleaning product. Not good.

The beds were comfortable but the refrigerator in the room made a lot of load noises. The water hook up in the shower was backwards and the toilet overflowed. Otherwise it was a nice hotel for getting a good night's sleep but don't think I would want to stay more than one night.

It was explained that the assigned room was for someone traveling with a pet. The person at the service desk got us a different room in no time at all. Everything was very comfortable. The pool and spa was rediculously filthy. The hospitality was horrible. The male manager ask me to use a dirty iron on my clothes after I showed him what the iron did to my clothes. It was like my worst nightmare. Never again.

My room was comfortable and larger than other inexpensive hotels I've stayed at and the bed was comfortable. The staff was pleasant and efficient. Free Wi-Fi and breakfast made the deal even better. I have back and knee issues and it was very inconvenient to get to/from my room.
