Very nice place with a refined air. Traditional hotel with traditional interiors, appropriate for Scotland. Definitely upscale, particularly in bar and restaurant area. Not a place to slop around in jeans, especially if dining.

Columba is good value, you could find some faults but they are minor. In all it's good value for money and in a great, picturesque spot near town, on the river side.

Our stay at Rocpool Reserve Hotel & Chez Roux Restaurant was incredible. Service was impeccable and the food was some of the best we've ever eaten. Our only complaint was that the TV did not work, we mentioned it to the staff but it was never fixed. We were only there for one night and so didn't plan on spending much time watching television, so really it was a non-issue for us, but I was surprised the request was not resolved, and had we booked a longer stay, might have been a more serious inconvenience. Other than that, hotel was gorgeous and we'd stay again in a heartbeat. Gorgeous view from the balcony and a private hot tub, plus gourmet food - what more could you ask for!

"beautiful location"
This is a lovely hotel, clean and spacious and we had a fantastic view of the ocean and garden. The room was huge as was the bathroom. It was walking distance to many restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We recommend this hotel highly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The quality of service was first class and the breakfasts were magnificent. The hotel is located overlooking the Moray Firth but is only a short drive from the town centre.
