    The Lodge at Chichen Itza is perfectly situated to walk to the ruins early in the morning as soon as the park opens before the crowds arrive. After a mid-day break you can easily go into the park again. The staff is extremely friendly and the food was great. The grounds are like an extensive tropical botanical garden.
