"Only stay here if u have no choice!"
No microwave in the entire hotel, thin sheet, no control of the temperature, minimal channels, and the tubs are not thoroughly cleaned. I guess the price was that high because of the location on Queens Blvd, otherwise it's only worth about $50. And I only say that because check out is 12pm and not 11am.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Rude desk clerk!"
I was snowed in, my connecting flight was canceled. The front desk clerk refused to help me find a taxi or a ride from the airport. There were no taxis and it looked as if I was going to have to spend the night at the airport, they refused to cancel my reservation despite having just made it 20 min. before. Unbelievably ugly hotel and the desk clerk […] was not much better. Rather like a nightmare! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Got caught at JFK because of a cancelled flight. Hotels.com booked me at this "hotel" - I'm surprised they didn't tell me that rooms were rented by the hour. Turned on the TV and the channel was the most innappropriate content that I have ever seen. My first clue was that the receptionist was behind bullet proof glass. Do not stay here!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"It's a room"
No shuttle service, difficult for the taxi driver to locate, peeling popcorn ceilings, 1950's whirlpool tub/shower, no alarm clock. There was a major leak in the 'lobby' and it was difficult to understand the night attendant through the glass (with no opening for sound travel). It beat staying in JFK's terminal, but only barely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Neighborhood looks corrupt but I don't think its as dangerous as it looks. Reminds me of the East Boston/Chelsea areas here. Bring some Fabreeze because the place stinks like whatever they use to clean (never thought cleaner could smell so bad) and people slamming doors all hours of the night and talking loud in the hall and everything is cheap looking […] and old but I would stay there again because its the cheapest place and parking was easy. Not able to catch a flight and without any hotel rooms available around the airport to spend the night and take a shower, this was the only option. This place "Jets Motor Inn" Jamicia, NY should be called the "DUMP" and I would not recommend it to anyone. Even my cab driver offered to take me to a "better place, free of charge." I asked for a "non-smoking room." Every room at the Jets is smoking and I had the burn holes in the blanket to prove it. I felt so unsafe in this dump that I put the chair […] and table against the door, walked a few blocks and purchased Lysol to spray the sheets and bath with before trying to sleep. My flight out the next day was at 4:42 pm, I got to the airport at 7am wanting to get to a cleaner and safer place. This is the worst place ever and I am not sure how it passes any health codes. I would have gone someplace else but I had a "non-refundable" room by Hotels.com. This was done through Delta Airlines after my flight was cancelled and Delta hooked me up to Hotels.com. I expected better from both Delta and Hotels.Com. By the way the reviews on the Jets Mottor Inn doesn't ever rate 1 star. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

This was a last minute booking due to a cancelled connecting flight out of Kennedy airport-after 36 hours in transit I had to sleep and shower-this was the least expensive (and still way more than I wanted to pay). I am a lifelong non-smoker, and rooms I ended up in [had to switch because of cigarette smoke] all had ashtrays. "Scary night in Queens"
We ended up at this motel during the blizzard of Oct 2011 so we didn't have many choices. You could only imagine a motel like this in a movie: a movie about drugs and prostitution. Inch thick plexiglass between "reception" and the desk clerk. Squishy carpets. Signs reminding you that no illegal activity is allowed on the premises. There was even a sign […] saying that smoke detectors for rooms were available for asking at the desk. As if I'd dare ask. And don't even think about leaving the hotel to get food or drink. Very scary neighborhood. The other people who came in looking for a room while we were waiting to check in were of dubious character and we were happy to get behind our locked door. On the good side: it was remarkably quiet and it has been 3 days since we got home and there are no signs of bedbugs! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The staff of the hotel is very friendly and they are really prepared to help you out, especially taking your heavy suitcase to the first floor, since there are no elevators. It would help to mention in the address section that the hotel is not only located on Queens Blvd, but also on the corner of 86 street. "Not a great place to lay your head"
Overall it was bad. We had to stay here due to our flight being cancelled from JFK. It was our last option as most flights had been cancelled that day. I was hesitant due to the name that i was not familiar with "Jets Motor Inn" - I'm not a "inns type pf person" but with little to no options left, we stayed there. The surrounding area was sketchy, and […] looking like a bad area. The front entrance was not inviting and very alarming. The front desk had a bullet proof glass with several warning messages - not more than 2 people in the room, no illegial activity, if items are left behind managment is not responsible. The room smelt of smoke and air freshener. But it was a big room. Everything was old. But most alarming was the po*n on the 32 channels. I'm still confused by that. Its not a good place for hotels to have on their list. It needs to be removed and no offered to clients of the company. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Horrible.
"The worst stay"
10/18/13 Deddy F Putrajaya, Malaysia
I found this motel through a last minute internet search. Was in NYC to watch the Columbs Day parade. The motel advertise themselves as conviniently located near subway station which is the main reason for me to choose his motel. However, the nearest subway is half a mile walk away through a dark and scary pedestrian bridge. The housekeeping also did not change the towels and need to be pestered up before they do anything. All in all, this is the worst hotel I had ever stayed.
"Too expensive, unpleasant location but clean"
09/13/13 441TOMika Southampton Parish, Bermuda
When I got dropped off at the location I was shocked as the entrance looked sketchy. The front desk had a full bullet proof glass and a rude agent behind it. There were several warning signs such as 2 people per room, no illegal activity in the rooms and several others. Its was alarming as a new guest. I booked the room last minute due to my flight being cancelled at JFK - it was the only room left according to hotels.com. Nevertheless, the hallways smelled fresh. It seems the overpowered it with freshener from the leftover smoke smells. The room was bigger than I expected but old and smelled like leftover smoke. I was surprised it was a non smoking room with an ashtray. ? Confused by that. The bathroom was old with little to none amenities - no hair dryer, the toilet paper was used. Basically it's not the best selection and in a very sketchy location. Not to mention the porn on channel 3 even though they don't encourage illegal activity in the rooms. Oh and I forgot the 2 bullet marks in the bathroom room. Don't stay here too long. It might drive you crazy.
"This is not even a zero star hotel"
11/28/12 Mark S Minneapolis, Minnesota
Got this as a 2* 'secret' hotel on Hotwire for $150 after taxes. A park bench in times square should have a higher star rating than this place. Very scary- bullet proof glass surrounding the front desk, a notice that prostitutes were unwelcome (obviously for show). Room was incredibly hot, no way to control the temperature other than opening the window. We were second floor so at least we didn't get murdered. I had one eye open all night anyway. Perusing the TV, you have your Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon and then inter-racial group porn. Not pay per view, just on a channel. You could hear the lovely sounds of the previously banned alleged prostitutes wafting through the fan in shower, which went unused. Luckily we only were there 6 hours. The front desk called us a 'cab', which turned out to be I assume a relative with some sketchy livery 'licenses' in the prius. Nice enough guy, took about 15 minutes to get there (hindsight I could have flagged down an actual cab in about 1 minute out front) and it was a $40 ride when it should have been about $10-$15 in a cab.

We could not find any place else to stay. The room was fairly clean. The shower pressure was terrible. A lot of road noise. I liked the complimentary coffee, chocolate, mocha, machine and its versatility. We had to pay cash only.
"Average - not amazing but not terrible"
01/05/12 Kevin S Jamaica, New York
I recent spent 6 nights here over the New Years period and I would say my stay here was satisfactory. Pro's: Close to fast food (McD's, Wendys, Dunkin' Doughnuts, Domino's Pizza), close to transport (E and F line subway about 10 minutes walk away) and not too far from other entertainment (a zoo and cinema). It is also close to JFK airport. The hotel itself was clean, offers free Wi-Fi, and the rooms have nice black-out curtains, are well lit and offer a few commodities like bars of soap and plastic cups. The rooms are also kept very warm which is great because it's easier to lose heat by opening the window than it is to gain it! Con's: Staff are so/so. They're not top class service orientated but if your request is sound they tend to do it without complaining. I had to get our key cards reactivated every day even though I had a 6 night stay booked. The Wi-Fi occasionally stopped working though the staff seem aware of this because whenever I mentioned it to them they restarted the router and it came back up within a few minutes. The air smells heavily of pine which I believe is the air freshener they use. I think they use it to cover the smell of smoke because every room that I saw had an ash tray. it's not unbearable though and a few hours with the window open sorted it out. Perhaps a little expensive for what it is but given that I spent most of my holiday enjoying NY the smaller issue didn't bother me too much. It's a decent room and a nice bed, in a convenient location. 3/5. :)

"100 Dollar - zuviel für dieses Motel"
12/05/10 Tollux Herford
