I only stayed here one night, but this would be a great place to bring a family, and stay for several days. The 2-bedroom condo was clean and comfortable, loved the gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and the kitchen was handy. Access to the units is a little inconvenient -- lots of steps to go up and down, especially if you're on the back side. But the location is great, just outside Banff, and just a 3 minute drive to Canmore.

So glad we upgraded to the junior suite - it was well worth it! Room was very spacious, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The pool and spa was a great bonus - it was never very busy, and very relaxing. It was a little away from the main part of town (when you're walking in the cold!), but only about a 10 minute walk.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting space in addition to the bed. The hotel is within easy walking distance of shopping, restaurants, etc. Only complaints: 1) Early wake up call not received as requested for first morning (good thing I was up already) 2) Very noisy kids running in the hallway the first night 3) Radio came on early on second morning (I did not set it) I would stay here again.

Situated in Banff, Bumpers Inn LTD is in a national park and close to Banff National Park Information Centre, Cave and Basin National Historic Site, and Banff Lake Louise Tourism Bureau. Also nearby are Canada House Gallery and Banff Centre.

"A Diamond in the Rough"
Motel prices in Banff and Jasper are pretty high so it pays to shop around. They can also change quickly; the price of a different motel we stayed at a couple of years ago has doubled! After carefully reading a ton of reviews, I figured that this motel was the best value for the money and I still think that was correct. After having breakfast in one […] of the other motels I can say that it certainly had a lot more up-scale atmosphere, but it wasn't worth it to me to pay another $50 a night just for that. This motel is on the edge of town, set back from the street and surrounded by trees and so has a nice atmosphere. The motel seems solidly built and quiet. A lot of wood paneling in the room - even the ceiling. Appropriate pictures and decor. Carpet was rather plain but clean. Bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was good. Its very comfortable but not anything more. People are helpful, had a fridge, microwave in the room. I would stay there again if it is one of the cheapest in town.

We were supposed to have 1 Queen bed(for 2 people) and 1 double but the queen was maybe 2 inches bigger than the double. They actually looked the same size. Other than that everything was ok.

The rate we paid did not justify the condition of the hotel. First of all they put us in what was probably their worst room. Small, poor circulation, dingy. When I asked for a change since we were staying several nts and there was no way we could stay in those conditions, the front desk hemmed and hawed and finally gave us a much better room but we […] had to pay for an upgrade. This place had no A/C, and we definitely expected more especially at the rate they charge. By the way, I booked this hotel because it had rooms that at least opened up to a center courtyard, however the first room they gave us did not. Stayed in many hotels during our 2 weeks vacation, and the "more reasonable" chains were so much better. The lodge at Jasper was cheaper with far more superior accomodations. Would not recommend staying here. The housekeeping staff were helpful ... they made our stay better. Read more

Clean rooms, polite staff, at half the price of any other hotel in Banff. Being on edge of town is a great plus as it cuts down on noise and pedestrian traffic. i booked three rooms next to each other. two rooms were booked for two nights . mine was for the one night . when i arrived the room i had booked was not available until three on the 18 of feb . i had arrived at 11.oclock we were for a wedding and had to get ready we were given another room on the other side. i booked the rooms together so we could […] corodinate our stay with the other two rooms the placement became inconvienet. This is a great little inexpensive hotel. If you're in Banff for the skiing or hiking or other outdoor pursuits, and you just want a clean, safe place to sleep, then this hotel is perfect. If you're looking for luxury, atmosphere, romance, or pampering, this is not a great choice. Older hotel- kind of thin walls,and obviously well used. The staff were great, the bed very comfortable, and the room clean. Very convenient for the dog also, being on a green belt. Easy access to town with the shuttle buses.

Hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. Very large rooms. This is on the edge of Banff not far from forrest area and we were able to see Mule Deer and listen to Coyote during the night which made us very happy. Staff were very friendly and helpfull. The only thing lacking in this Motel was Air Conditioning. It was 28-29 degrees cellius outside and there was no air moving in the room. We had to go out to a air conditioned spot to survive the evening. Other than that, the room was clean and the staff very freindly.

We've stayed at this hotel last October and had no problems. This time, no such luck. The room had a moldy kind of smell to it, was super warm (we had no way to change the temperature), and I had an unexpected visitor in the shower - a spider crawling along the ceiling of the bathroom! Ewwww! Our last visit had no problems, but this time we did. The main light in the ceiling was falling down, and the light beside the bed was dangerously loose. I called the office to report the lights but got no response.
