"Best Value in Banff"
The rooms are on the smaller side but there is plenty of space for ski gear and luggage. Nothing fancy here but it is very tough to beat for the price. Quiet, warm, comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Hotel is nice..a bit far from downtown Banff...but than the price is good.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great budget accomodation in Banff"
Whilst Bumpers is a little dated, i couldn't fault the cleanliness of our room and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The motel is situated within walking distance of the main shopping area but it's still in amongst the trees which makes for a nice atmosphere. I travelled with 2 fairly large dogs and the motel staff weren't bothered […] by my 2 crazy dogs and as i went to pay the dog fees the motel staff said 'there's only 1 night on here so don't worry about the other $'s - merry Christmas' - how great is that! It's that kind of attitude that would make me definitely stay there again! Thank you x Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Decor is old and room smelt musty - like wet carpet The bed was comfy but had to ask for extra pillows Lighting is atrocious so it makes reading in bed impossible Room had a fridge but did not really work so well Low end scale Staff not so helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
"Older but comfortable."
This hotel is older but has all you need. All other amenities are close by.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable stay at reasonable rate"
For several years we have been staying at Bumpers Inn. Nothing special, but large King size beds, bigger TV, basic utensils like MW oven, coffee maker, fridge and WiFi are making your stay real comfortable. Staff are polite, rates are reasonable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"always a good bet for a budget minded person"
I stay here often to ski. very good for the price. beds are comfortable and the place is clean. stayed at the other less expensive places but I stay here whenever I can as my first choice. great choice if your coming to board or ski and just need a basic comfortable safe place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice view from upstairs accomodation"
Friendly and courtious staff, bed was comfortable and place is away from downtown noise.3 stars.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good value but the room was an oven"
I have stayed in a few hotels in Banff and overall you definitely get your money's worth from this hotel. Everything was as advertised. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. There were few people around as we were there between seasons and therefor it was pretty quiet. The 42" flat panel tv "falsely advertised as 44" was definitely […] appreciated at this price point. My only complaint for the room and unfortunately it was a serious issue as it greatly affected our comfort in the room, was the broken thermostat. The room was an oven! When we got there the thermostat was turned down all the way but the temperature still read 23-24C. I personally am comfortable at about 19-20C. I was too exhausted after a very long day to do anything then other than open both windows wide. The windows were left wide open for the two days we were there. The temperature in the room went up to 26C at one point and never dropped below 23C even though overnight temps were down to about -6C and all the windows were always left open. I mentioned this to the front desk staff upon checkout and the lady at the counter politely apologized, took note of it and thanked me for letting them know it needs fixing. Our stay was overall a good one but it could have been a great one were it not for the lost sleep and overall discomfort and inconvenience caused by the heating problem. I would recommend this hotel but do check the heating system before you settle into your room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Economical and clean"
Hotel was well priced and clean for our one night stay. It is at the one end of the main street, but is a nice walk into town.Genuine Expedia guest review
"If you like to walk...."
Just a heads up that you are 1.9km from the downtown area, so bring 'sensible shoes'. Humidifiers would make this hotel better as the air was pretty dry in the fall in Banff. I had to call to get the wireless internet code but it was given quickly, there was no indication of it in the room. Front desk staff were polite and efficient. Wish they had more […] comfortable blankets...the traditional 1970's loud polyester thin comforter and the static collecting polyester brown blanket underneath. Pillows and sheets were clean as was the room. I like the motel approach...park at the room and walk in. Price was right $100 all in. I would stay here again if needed but more towels, internet wifi code on check in and an optional humidifier would make this bargain motel even better. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Quiet place to stay but it was in October"
Good basic rooms but we had to pay for WiFi, this is the only place that this has happened in our 3 wk holidayGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bumpers Inn in Banff"
The floor was not cleaned or vacuumed when I first walked in. The reception was notified and the floor was vacuumed while I went out for supper. The mattresses did not have any support to my back, the pillow was too thin and provided no support to my neck and head. I didn't have any good sleep at all!Genuine Expedia guest review
"basicly is ok, but little disappoint"
wifi is payment requested. telephone and TV in room were not work, even though we did need them. any foods would not be provided. so this inn just as a sleeping place and scour place.Genuine Expedia guest review
Get what you pay for, very nice and had very comfy beds.Genuine Expedia guest review
We find it very comfortable to stay at Bumpers Inn. The room was very clean, though it was old hotel but pretty well maintained. At least it has a microwave in the room where we can heat up food since this hotel has no restaurant. It's a bit far away from downtown but its very quiet. The hotel rate was the cheapest deal I got since we booked it a week […] before our accommodation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great enclosed courtyard for lounging with your favorite drink and getting to know some people. Close to city center with lots of shops.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Edge of town but very quiet and comfortable"
Great place to stay if you want to avoid the town centre as this is on the edge next to a lovely wood area and therefore very quiet (apart from one night when we heard coyotes howling which was great!) Very comfortable large rooms and well equipped. Would definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean, quiet & cheap."
For a place to rest my head at night this place did a great job. Cheap, clean and convenient.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the amenities were not as indicated. No breakfast, no restaurant (closed) no AC. Priced too high, we could have stayed at an Inn with a view, AC, breakfast for less money. We were asked for a security deposit of $50.00, for two seniors??? The desk clerk was not very cordial or helpful. We will not be recommending this place to our friends.Genuine Expedia guest review
I really enjoyed this hotel because quiet. The rooms are not facing the parking but the garden around with the hotel is built. The beds are not brand new but still VERY comfortable. The location more or less on the highway makes it very easy to find but still very quite: you will not hear any traffic. It was a really fair price considering it is Banff […] itself (not Lake Louise or Canmore). The trendy area (shops and restaurants) is not far as long as you have a car (10 minutes). I am definitely recommending this hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A clean, no nonsense motel, helpful staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Okay for a one night stay"
The bed was comfortable and we were not troubled by any noise. The room had a small fridge and coffee maker. The court yard was pleasant. However I would not want to spend more than one night. I would call it a budget hotel but during the summer there are no budget rates.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Satisfied in Banff"
The hotel was clean and quiet and the price was right!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Well priced, good 3 star hotel"
At the outer edge of town but quieter there an easy drive to town. Rooms large and a refrigerator.Genuine Expedia guest review
"End of the hotel strip"
The location isn't great, it's at the far end of The street. Hotel was decent, overpriced for what you get but that's Banff for you. There was an air conditioner or something that made noise at times through the night, otherwise the stay was decent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean place to stay close to all but very basic"
The place is old but clean and excellent location. It is your typical Motor Inn but worth the money and would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room reeked with an odour of urine. There was no air conditioning. Unfriendly staff. We had to pay for wifi but was extremely slow.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very Dungy Lookin place, Staff not Carring, Unreasonable, No Manager, Ect,Ect!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great stay at a great price"
The setting of the hotel is wonderful, with trees growing in the central courtyard; the lower floor rooms have doors out into the courtyard and the upper floor have balconies. The rooms are very spacious and both our rooms had large fridges in. The plumbing felt a little old and in need of updating but everything else about the room was modern and pleasing. […] The only additions that we would have like to have had were wireless access and a laundry. Whilst the setting of the hotel is great on the edge of the forest, this location means it is on the edge of town and therefore it you are wanting to be able to walk into town, probably not the best choice. "Great Value in Banff"
Set back from Banff Avenue and almost inconspicuous, Bumpers Inn is a haven of calm, meticulously clean with surprisingly spacious, high-ceilinged rooms. Its a bit of a hike to centre town but that is not really a disadvantage, as there are several nearby restaurants. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although it was a deal i still think that for the quality of the room, it should have been cheaper. It was not the nicest or cleanest. It looked like someone had used the toilet prior to us getting there. Other than that, you get what you pay for i guess.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Its cheap price but a very nice and cute hotel they have...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not for family"
Ok and clean room but hotel seems creepy from outside. Far from city center. Staff not very helpful. Would not stay again. cheaper thoughGenuine Expedia guest review
Its recomended hotel for low budget and good serviceGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Bathroom ceiling above shower needs painting, otherwise very clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I and my wife stayed one night in this hotel on May 2013. Our room was located in the second floor. Although we cannot expect a luxury Hotel with a rate of around 100 $ per night (Low season rate) but however it was clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Bumpers Inn is a good place for students or travelers with a low budget. However the rooms do not have A/C and become very hot at night in the summer months, also the ice machine did not work the entire time of our stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good & stay & relax !"
Good & clean with the budget & friendly for familie to stay in banff .Genuine Expedia guest review
"A bit isolated but not bad"
The room is fairly basic but clean. The staff are very friendly. Only cons are that it is fairly far from downtown Banff so if you're looking for something more central this isn't the place for you. However, if you're looking for something cheap that isn't too bad, this might be the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"easy access, nice big room"
Our stay was very enjoyable, with a nice big room and very clean. It also overlooked a courtyard that you could enjoy while sitting on the large deck. I would highly recommend this motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
An affordable modest motel in a quiet location and good access. Wouldn't be my first choice for my next visit to Banff as the motel is very basic, however the bed was comfortable and the room was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy to access, convenient, quiet environment, close to shopping area too.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A good deal."
If you want an inexpensive, clean place to stay - this is for you. Rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, lots of TV channels, and it's in a quiet neighbourhood. The walls can be a bit thin but that's the only "bad" thing I'd say about it - bring earplugs. It's a good deal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good value for the money"
Very quiet location, good parking, clean comfortable room with large flat screen TV. Will consider staying next time. Would appreciate free high-speed wi-fi.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean Quiet but Dated Accommodation in Banff"
The hotel is at the far end of Banff and just off of Banff avenue. To walk downtown is about 15 to 20 minutes. The decor is a bit dated but it is clean and the room was a good size. Because location is on the far side of Banff there is not a lot of traffic or street noise (which is good). It is a motel design where the doors to the rooms are accessed […] from the outside. The 2nd floor has concrete walkways on the outside vs. wood so the"clomp / clomp" of persons coming and going are not heard (ever stay in a motel where the walkway to the rooms is wood and all night long - clomp / clomp from footsteps - this is NOT the case at Bumpers). Again remember you get what you pay for. This is a clean, quiet place but bit dated in appearance and upkeep in the rooms. I recommend staying here if this is OK with you. If you are after upper end or have different illusions there are numerous other hotels in Banff where you can get this but at significantly more dollars. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Clean and quiet, though I booked online and it should have a pet's option as when I showed up with my dog we were not allowed to have the room I requested as it wasn't pet friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK for a cheap place."
The heat registers were very loud. The room was cold even with the thermostat turned up.The tv remote was missing the battery cover. The blankets were thin and there were not enough. The restaurant was closed down, the main rason we stayed there.I didnt expect allot from this hotel because it had the cheapest rates in Banff. All in all it was OK,.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not so good"
I'm afraid our stay was not good. Not enough towels and the heat was not turned on. Maintenance was a problem.Genuine Expedia guest review
