"Don't Stay Here!"
We left without spending even one night. The outer door to the screened in porch would not close. About 25% of the screens on the porch were either torn open or had large holes. The bathroom was a mess. There was no bathroom sink, so you have to use the kitchenette sink for both purposes. Do not go there!
"Cozy Haven"
The cottage we got was perfectly adequate for a weekend of fishing. There is a nice patio which w used to eat and relax in the evenings. What was really neat, is that you get your own little dock to moor your boat. Bait and groceries are available on the property and it's only a five minute boat ride (in my 5Hp Canoe) to the 10,000 islands. The fishing […] was superb and the surrounding scenery is amazing. There is no table or chairs inside the room, but the screened in patio has everything you need. The people are very friendly and helpful. Have a great time. Read more
"Gross! No charm, just filth."
Arriving late we were welcomed by a swarm of literally hundreds of mosquitos. After they quickly filled our van we ran inside to find the largest cockroach I've ever seen (and I'm a Florida native!). The furniture looked as is it had been pieced together from things people had thrown out on the side of the road. Big holes in the uncomfortable sofa, […] rickety particle board furniture, dining table was patio furniture, shower was completely clogged, filthy microwave, dirty fridge, dirty sink, big pile of dirty sheets and pillows in closet ~ just gross and nasty all the way around! I slept on-top of the covers with a tshirt on the pillow while swatting mosquitoes all night. There were no bunk beds in the room as promised, and we woke at sunrise as there were no curtains on the windows. I'm a laid-back 40yr male with a high tolerance for filth and this was more than I could handle! The kicker is we could've stayed on the beach in Naples for the same price, and had I known I would have! The room was worse than any $60 truck stop hotel, and you can see online the prices they are charging. Don't stay here! Read more
"wear or amazing?"
original and interesting to try but..... too much expensive for the experience
Our stay was interesting. The "stilted cabin" is actually a double wide trailer on stilts. It was still nice. Roomy. Fairly clean if you didn't pay attention to the dust bunnies under the furniture. Would be nice for people that were into fishing on an extended stay. There really isn't much more to this area - air boat tours - fishing. Not much to keep […] kids entertained. I would plan to prepare my own meals - the local restaurants (2) have limited hours. The one recomended by the hotel/baitshop/bar was the Oyster house. The food was terrible! Read more
Read more
"Hotel sympa"
