Nice hotel, nice rooms in main hotel. Breakfast was amazing and staff was friendly. However, internet was not very good. The walk into Lugano is a steep one (about 10-15 mins), but you can take the tram up and down the mountain in just a few minutes instead.

Beautiful renovated, historic hotel, in a great location close to the railway, set in a relaxing garden setting, with attentive & friendly staff. Breakfast was great sitting overlooking Lake Lugano. Only downside is you will probably have to use the funicular when going into the town center...cost 1.10 SwFr, or free with a Swiss rail card. We booked off-season and got an upgrade upon arrival to a room in the main building - not the comfort room we had booked, which are located in the annexe. We were happy about this because the hotel is really 2 steps from the railway, and I imagine the trains are loud if you are staying in the annexe. In the main building, there were new windows, very […] soundproof, and we never heard the trains. Service was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, but small. Bathroom felt new and clean. Wifi connection was easy to connect to, and the small surrounding park really gives a nice atmosphere to the hotel. The only unpleasant thing was when we had a kind of sewer smell in the room in the evening. It was difficult to locate the source and it passed fairly quickly so we ignored it. Read more

Clean hotel with friendly staff and nice breakfast buffet, but the rooms are very small. The pillows felt like a sack of potatoes - couldn't get much sleep due to it being so uncomfortable. Will look elsewhere for next time.

Chose this hotel because of its location, very close to the rail station. We weren't disappointed. Walk out of the front exit of the station (you'll know you have when you see Lugano in the vallley in front of you). Turn right and walk along the footpath parallel to the car park. At the end of the car park there's a barrier-controlled level crossing. […] The hotel is clearly visible from here. Even though it's so close to the railway line, the noise from the trains wasn't excessive. If one of your party is a light sleeper, you could always ask for a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the gardens. The hotel itself was very comfortable. My wife and I opted for a superior double. The room was huge with beautiful views across the lake and mountains. We were treated to a massive electrical storm on the evening of our stay - wow! We ate in the hotel and the food was varied and, what we ate, delicious. The buffet breakfast was varied and tasty, with a choice of hot and cold food. Staff were friendly, efficient and extremely courteous. The hotel is very convenient for the city. Simply walk back to the rail station and take the funicular to the city. It takes about 2 minutes and costs CHF 1.10. It's easily walkable down but as for walking back . . . ! We'll certainly stay here again if we ever return to this lovely city. Read more

Fantastic hotel in beautiful surroundings. Seemed like good value, but we never saw the room we paid for as we were upgraded to an incredible room with views over the lake. Regardless, the hotel staff were helpful, it was near the station, quiet and it has a great swimming pool.

相當滿意！相當方便的地理位置，4號月台走到底，就是入口。景觀、設施、花園皆美。唯一美中不足，房內熱水壺要至櫃檯借用，隔日房務就收走了，若需要的話還要再借一次，稍不方便！房間是在瑞士住過最大的！

Da ich erst um 22hUhr angekommen bin und am nächsten Morgen bereits wieder um 10h00 auschecken musste, ist es mir nicht möglich eine Gesamtbeurteilung abzugeben. Hervorragend war der Service an der Reception und in der Bar. Sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Im Zimmer fehlt eine Minibar. Hotel was very close to railway station. I came to the hotel pretty late (close to 9 pm), but still had an opportunity to freshen up in the outdoor pool. After that I asked from the reception if I could eat. That was possible, but as I got to the restaurant, three different staff members came to remind me, that I am already late. Not that nice experience... […] Even the food wasn't too good. Would've been better to go and eat somewhere else. When I had a better look at the room, there was some trash on the floor. Also when I opened the wardrobe I found someone elses clothes. So the room was not cleaned too well. The bed seemed ok and I was really tired, so I decided to sleep instead of changing room. In the morning as I brought the "extra clothes" to the reception, they told me I should have complained already yesterday, now they cannot do anything. Dem Hotel gebe ich überall die Bestnote. Ich war zum zweiten- aber sicher nicht zum letzten Mal dort. Nebst allen Annehmlichkeiten samt Park und grossem Pool fallen vor allem die hilfsbereiten, motivierten und sehr freundlichen Mitarbeiter auf. Dies ist für mich ein Zeichen einer ausgesprochen guten Leitung. Freundliches Personal, super Service, kurzum im Hotel stimmte alles. Allerdings Zimmer auf der Rückseite. Keine Beurteilung wie sich die Bahnlinie auswirkt.
