We enjoyed our one night stay at Les Hauts de Porto-Vecchio. However, it was disappointing to learn after we arrived by cab that we definitely needed a car.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wer auf alles verzichten kann . Genau richtig.

sehr gut gelegen, sehr nette Menschen dort.
"Very nice place"

Very nice place. Far from the sea, it takes 15 minutes to get a beach by car. But!!! There were everything for relax - view, atmosphere, pool, pathes for walking. You can cook if you want - all stuff in a room. Nice wooden arbour in all rooms where you can relax!!!
"Expensive but nice"

This was our third stay on Corsica and we enjoyed our stay here also, the view from the patio/porch/balcony was excellent. The appartment had some slightly dated equipment but it all worked, including a very usefull airco. We didn't try the tv but we did make use of the available wifi quite a lot (not fast enough for video but we did not mind that). The beds were slightly hard. The location is excellent although the access road is partly unpaved and in some places quite steep. A car is necessary to get you around, beaches, towns hills etc. Pool was excellent place to cool down after a hot day in town or on the road. All in all nice place although a little expensive.
"Great view to the Porto Vecchio bay"
08/05/13 Gabor L London
We have spent a fantastic 5 days in this accomodation. The view to the bay is stunning. The atmosphere at dusk is really great. You can sit on the balcony with a glass of wine, looking at the bay and waiting until the sun goes down and the lights of Porto Vecchio are gradually turned on. It is really nice. Pros: - The view - Reasonably spacious bungalow well equipped with cutlery, dish washer, pots, etc. - Comfortable bed - Very quiet location - Pool (though we haven't used it) - Location: 10 minutes drive to Porto Vecchio, 5 minutes drive to the big supermarket (Géant Casino), 15-20 minutes drive to the Santa Giulia beach. Some people are comlaining that the road is unpaved and difficult to drive up on the hill. Come on! Learn to drive :) This unpaved part is only 80-100m and if you are careful, it shouldn't cause a big issue. And yes, you need a car definitely, but if you want to see something else on the island as well other than the local beach, you would hire one anyway. - The rooms are clear and cleaned every day (even the dishes are washed up by the staff every day as well, which is quite unusual in these kinds of apartements). Cons: - If I have to say something negative, I would mention that the furbishment of the apartment and especially that of the bathroom are a bit dated, but it didn't concern me that much as long as it was properly cleaned every day. We didn't spend all our time in the apartment anyway, so it was not a big deal. - I have found it a bit expensive compared to the other apartment we stayed in 3 years ago (Pietra del Sol), which had very similar conditions, though the distance of that apartment from Porto Vecchio was slightly larger than in case of this accomodation. But it's very subjective and you defenitely pay for the view.

The view from our hut was a beautiful one looking out to the bay. The place was clean and comfortable. The pool was lovely! It would be unpractical without a car - even with one the roads are narrow and one length of the road was mostly dirt. We very much enjoyed our stay.
"A remarkable accomplishment by the creator"

A car is essential unless you intend to stay put and veg out, because this place is a good fifteen minutes north-west of the centre of Porto Vecchio, in the dress circle of hills looking down on the port. Creatively, it's a masterpiece, with 20 self-contained cabanas or bungalows blending in with the forest surroundings in a wide arc around the crest of the hills, each having great individual views. Our cabana was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped with a terrace and barbecue area overlooking the exceptional panorama. I take my hat off to the previous owners who started putting the place together in the 1970s - it's quite a special achievement. Others have commented on how hard it is to find - that's true, but worth it when you get there. The key is (travelling from the south) to take the Bastia road a few kilometres north of PV to the hamlet of La Trinité de Porto Vecchio. In the middle of the 50 kph zone, on the right, is a monstrous Australian gum tree with multiple trunks, which is impossible to miss. Directly opposite, on the left, is a road winding its way up steeply for about a kilometre until it forks, and when you subsequently get to a terrible dirt section that the owners have been complaining about to the local Mairie for ten years, you know you're almost there - it's at the end of the road, so you can't miss it - the entrance is well marked, and well lit at night. We'll be going back!
"Gorgeous mini-villa’s overlooking the bay of Porto-Vecchio"
09/11/12 Laura W London, UK
My sister and I treated my dad to a night in les Hautes for his birthday. Unfortunately we timed it with Corsica’s 4 day storm in September so we couldn’t really make the most of the pool or grounds because it rained non-stop. This aside, the villa’s are lovely – spacious and modern interior with a traditional mediteranean terrasse. The bathroom was great – high ceilings and a big walk-in shower and decent water pressure. We were only here for one night so didn’t eat in but we saw that they offered all the utensils you’d need for a self-catering holiday – glasses, cutlery, pans, microwave and hob. Our highlight was the morning after when the skies cleared enough for us to be-able to enjoy breakfast on the terrasse overlooking the bay along with some friends we made – some wild kittens! We plan to stay at Les Hautes again next year.
"A small villa for your self"

Situated with a view over the bay of Porto Vecchio, in a garden with a very nice pool, this charming and quiet hotel lies. For a little extra a breakfast basket was delivered to your terass in the morning. Not far from excelent beaches, very helpfull and friendly staff and ideal place for a familly, and a perfect location to explore Corsica. You will need a car though.
"one word: perfect"

In the mini-villas from Les Hauts de Porto Vecchio I felt at home in less than 5 minutes. Okay it 's hard to find, and the road leading to it isn't in the best shape but once you get there... The villas are built on the slope of the mountain so every single villa has an incredible view over the bay of Porto Vecchio and its harbor. Our villa was clean, the kitchen was huge and well equipped (gas stove, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, ...) and it even had a BBQ. To bad we only booked the villa for a couple of days, I definitely could have stayed here longer. One thing to keep in mind before you book: there are some cats walking around between the villas. In the evening they came to rest on our porch just sitting there, enjoying some attention. They are all friendly cats, but if you have some kind of cat allergy you might need to bring your medication :-)
"Nice mini-villas, 10 mins by car to Porto Vecchio"
09/20/11 markyd72 London
Nice self-catering style min-villas - beautiful views over the forests down to the sea with great kitchens and a bbq. Villas were well arranged so that each felt isolated from the next even thought they were c. 10m apart. 10min car journey to Porto Vecchio and 20mins to the well-known Plomaggia (sp?) beach. Taxi to town would have been c. €50 each way.
