While the motel is a bit older than some it is very clean, warm and spacious with very comfortable beds. What more do you want. Very close to town and... I know because we walked in there and back a couple of times. The owners were very friendly and super helpful. We had a wee dilemma with some tickets I had purchased for Pink Floyd and they couldn't have been more helpful. After a few phone calls we had it sorted. I would certainly recommend this motel to anyone and if I was ever in New Plymouth again I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. Arrived very late. Reception had tried to call us, but the country code was missing in the reservation from Hotels.com. They waited hours after closing hours for us and we got a nice room (upgrade).

Stayed in the Carrington with a friend from Dec 17-18, 2011. Nice place, and the room was HUGE. I wished they had free wireless internet. The place is also about 15 minutes walk to downtown New Plymouth, and New World is about 20 minutes away. There's a big yard in the back, where the laundry room is.
