"Hotel is very convenient to the town of Ravello."
Plenty of restaurants nearby. Town is charming and beautiful. We visited Ravello, Catania, and Taromina, Sicily on this trip. Ravello easily the most beautiful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Well located in historic center with parking. Rooms had mini-balconies and great views. Extensive breakfast buffet.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location, would like to have stayed longer"
the desk staff were fantastic, let us leave our car there for two days while we went to Capri. Had planned on driving but realized just how bad the drive would be! We were in Italy for three weeks and this was by far one of our favorite placesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a lovely hotel in a fabulous location. It could do with updating but the staff were very friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A lovely hotel"
Gorgeous gardens and pool and perfectly located. Staff extremely helpful. A delightful place to stay in ravelloGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was in a fantastic location right off the main square. The hotel decor was a little dated, but the pool area more than made up for this.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent quiet hotel in central location"
We stayed in the Giordano for three nights of six day stay on the Amalfi coast and wished we had stayed for more. The hotel was mid sized and had all the facilities we wanted. It doesn't have its own restaurant which for us didn't matter as we were out all day and enjoy trying different restaurants at night. The rooms were very adequate and have well […] equipped and thought out bathrooms. There is a lovely swimming pool - very welcome at the end of a day's sightseeing. "lovely central hotel, excellent facilities."
Rm 43 was quite small and twin beds very close. Apart from that it was a great place to stay, was very close to central square and had a lovely pool. Staff very efficient and very pleasant.LovelyGenuine Expedia guest review

Very friendly & helpful staff. Excellent although as we eat out we cannot comment on their food but their sister hotel, hotel Maria provided the best meal we had in RavelloGenuine Expedia guest review
"Family friendly hotel in the middle of Ravello."
A comfortable chair in bedroom would have been a pleasure for afternoons. Menu at poolside was disappointing. More fresh vegetables, pasta dishes and salad were short in supply. I was pleased and grateful the hotel noted my original request when I booked that I could have a room with a view over the pool. Thank you for this.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good middle of the range hotel"
Great location. Nice quaint hotel. Breakfast not great, though area is so amazing that there were so many other nice places to eat throughout the day. Have recommended to others, though if I were to go again I would stay in one of the 5star venues as they look amazing and there is a big gap in quality between a 4 star and a 5 star hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Swimming Pool with Stunning Views"
A charming hotel situated in a fantastic situation. Lovely swimming pool and breakfast but bathroom a little dated and the beds are very hard! Excellent for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great short stay hotel"
Enjoyed my stay, reception staff very helpful. Just one complaint I was there as part of a wedding party which included an elderly lady who could only walk short distances with a stick. Considering the Villa Eva is part of your group the cost of 110 euros to get this lady from the main hotel to the reception and back by way of a pretty primitive transport […] was very expensive and very poor. "Beautiful location, lovely hotel"
This was a lovely hotel in a perfect location. Minutes walk from the town and within an hours drive of the mainstream Amalfi Coast towns or towards the historical volcano sites. The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was great with a good range on offer. We went for a room for three (so that our 6 year old could stay in with us) and there was still […] perfectly sufficient space with her bed being set up in what I'm guessing is usually a dressing area. "A really nice hotel"
The Giordano had all the basics of a good hotel including a quiet room, a comfortable bed (although a bit hard by North American standards), a helpfull staff and a good breakfast. The location just off the main square of Ravello was perfect and provided easy access to all the towns attractions. These include a warren of old streets and houses, palazzos, […] two stunning formal gardens and a very modern auditorium designed by Niedemeyer the Brazilian architect, which clings precariously to the top of of a 1000 ft high cliff. Altogether a magic place complemented by a comfortable well located hotel that I am definitely going back to. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed at the Giordona hotel for a family wedding 22nd June to 29th June, and had the most wonderful time there, the staff were very friendly and polite, the food was very good especially the breakfast, which was plentiful, and the views are magnificent, rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels. The view when lying at the pool is magnificant. You are close to lots of amenities, shops, bars, and restaurants, just through the tunnel is the taxi rank and Bus stop, 2.5 Euro for bus trip to Amalfi, this takes about 30 mins. good tip get your bus tickets before going onto bus from local tobacco shops. The day we were leaving we had to be away before breakfast start time, but the hotel made sure there would be something for us to eat and drink before we left, well done Giordano. Can’t wait to return some day.

This was a fantastic hotel. It was relaxing from the moment you walk in and hear classical music playing. The room was spotless and had a little balcony, ours overlooked the pool. I like the tile on the floor, and the bathroom was well-appointed and large. Breakfast was by the pool with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Couldn't have asked for a better start to our Italian trip!

If this hotel is 14th of 20 in Ravello, all I can say is that there must be some mighty fine competition. We four ladies loved everything about the Giordano Hotel and considered it the nicest hotel we stayed in during a two-week trip to Italy. We thought the decor of the rooms so attractive - loved the colorful tile floors and cleanliness. The best surprise was the lovely terrace - with a standard twin room. The view from the balcony will remain one of my best memories of Italy. We did not use the pool area, but it looked beautiful. When the lady in reception learned we had to leave before the complimentary breakfast, she made sure that there would some things out early for us. I heartily recommend this hotel.
"My favourite place"

I first visited Ravello and stayed at the Giordano years ago with my girlfriend. I went back to Ravello several years later to get married - to aforementioned girlfriend - and had my wedding reception at Giordano's sister hotel - Villa Eva - followed by a post wedding brunch the day after at the Giordano. Last week my wife and I returned to Ravello once again - this time joined by our three year old son. I have never been anywhere so beautiful where the staff are so friendly / professional / and welcoming. We stayed in room 26 this time. It has a private terrace space that leads out to a larger communal terrace with breathtaking views down the valley of lemon groves. Breakfast is served by the side of the secluded and beautiful pool - surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The food is exquisite with fresh produce from the local area, (and the same goes for the wine). We also enjoyed meals at the Giordano's other sister hotel in Ravello - Villa Maria, (which has even more dramatic views from its terrace). From Ravello it is easy to explore the whole of the Amalfi Coast. I would recommend the Giordano to everyone. I have loved visiting it as a relaxing and romantic break, and as part of our wedding venue, and most recently as a family holiday destination. I can't wait to go there again. It really is my favourite place.

Stayed a week for a wedding. We were in room 25 which was spacious & had a private terrace with furniture. I requested a terrace room as the Forum mentioned some rooms were small with a tiny outside area. The negatives for the hotel - no sea view, no tea/coffee making in room, noise from workman renovating areas & building new wing (check this out pre booking). On the plus side it is right next to the main square, has one of the best pools in Ravello & the staff are great. Ravello hotels are very expensive so Giordano is good value.
"Good and quiet location"

Ravello is beautiful. This hotel is average for a 3 star place. We were a bit disappointed that the pool was not filled in May. I guess they only open it during the very warmest summer months. Staff was nice and helpful. Bathroom is fairly large but shower is so tiny that you can barely fit in it.

Fantastic location and that applies to the whole town. We were there for a wedding and there was a big group which made socialising very easy both in the hotel and in the town. We had a room overlooking the pool and were often entertained by a brass band somewhere to the north. Very nice. Breakfast by the pool was a treat and I could have lingered for hours. Difficult to get to through the winding mountain road and I would suggest that a nervous driver should not take their own car.
"Gracious, skilled staff"

My sister and I stayed at Hotel Giordano for 4 nights in October. Lovely lobby staffed by very helpful front desk. Roberta speaks very good English and helped with car/driver, train tickets, etc. I can't say enough about her helpfulness. Our room was quite large, with furnishings that were perfectly adequate but not stylish or special. The hotel is in a good central location and quiet. A nice breakfast is included. And they arrange in-house massage which was so good we did it twice. However, the view from the rooms is of the mountains to the West. It's nice, but if I stay in Ravello again, I might check out prices on the other side of the town where a number of hotels face East and have a view of ocean, mountains, and Maiori. That's a pretty spectacular view. But I'm sure it comes at a price.
"Beautiful view with comfortable rooms."

A bit of a trek to get to The Giordano and nearly need a local guide. Our taxi left us at the car park, which is a10-15 walk from the hotel. You can organise a service to take your bags or drag them yourself. We were lucky that ours were collected for us. The trek is picturesque, through the beautiful alleys, passing shops and even a lemon cello factory. Our greeting at the hotel was cordial but certainly not warm. Our rooms were very comfortable (bed a little hard). Plenty of space a and a balcony overlooking the valley down to the sea. A superb view. Rooms were also very quiet. We ate at the hotels restaurant and the food was delightful, as was the breakfast.

The Giordano has a fantastic location just a short walk from the very pretty and atmospheric main square in Ravello. If you have a hire car the hotel will meet you in the square and drive your car through the very narrow lanes to their shaded car park, best to leave it there during your stay and use the local bus service to Amalfi and ferries beyond to eg Positano which is well worth a visit. We had a superior room with a lovely terrace and fine mountain views, this side of the hotel also benefitted from the sun. The room was fine with an adequate shower room. Breakfast was very ordinary and served outdoors, which in September can be cool and windy. Disappointingly we arranged for an early breakfast as we were on a tour to Pompeii, despite us reminding reception, on arrival the staff in the breakfast room denied any knowledge, they did come up with a pot of tea and a few biscuits. The reception staff were generally unhelpful and often hiding in the back office. The car parking guys were the exception to this. We were on half board so ate dinner at the Villa Maria. The food was good but not exceptional and again eating outdoors in September half way up a mountain is not always a good idea. It takes about 5 mins walking uphill between the hotels and is not suitable for older guests. Overall Ravello is a fantastic base to explore the coast and Pompeii and the town itself is charming and not too busy, at least compared with Amalfi and Positano! The Giordano could be so much better with closer attention to customer satisfaction.
