"close to metro and train station"
Comfortable, but small room. Staff very nice. Shopping mall within walking distance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Great Hotel in A Sketchy Location"
The hotel was wonderfully modern with an great breakfast buffet in the morning. My only concern was the location - steps away from the major train station - that gave the hotel area a very sketchy feel at night. For the value and location to the city, would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice and stylish hotel, well located,"
I only spent one night, but the room was neat, clean, I loved the style and the service very good. I strongly recommend this hotel, excellent relation price-serviceGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is new and clean, and well appointed. Rooms are small but comfortable. Surrounding neighborhood is a little shady, but there is a supermarket across the street, atms are nearby, and the Keleti station is right next door, so sort of makes up for it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"right next to the train station"
3 minute walk to the train and subway station. You have to take the subway a few stops west to get to any tourist stuff, but that was fine -- tourist places are spread out a little in Budapest anyway, so you want to use the subway anyway. I loved leaving the hotel fifteen minutes before my train was leaving and getting there in plenty of time. The room […] is comfortable, clean, in great condition. It could get a little noisy, hearing flushing toilets, people walking around. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
When I booked the hotel I was a little worried because the price was excellent. Upon arriving, I feared that I had reason to be worried. The street is not that attractive. It's just about a block from the train station, and that's never the best area of town. However, I never felt unsafe (I was a man alone). The hotel itself is attractive inside and […] out. There's a nice lobby bar open until late. Although the room was not ready when I arrived (check-in is 2:00), they stored my luggage until I returned later in the afternoon. The room was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was well thought out and provided--closet, excellent lighting (bright bathroom), desk with counter level outlets for computer, free WiFi, and laptop safe. Large window overlooking the street. I didn't notice any street noise. For the price it was a steal. The only negative is location--a bit seedy area and not in the center of Budapest, although only about a block from the Metro and a short Metro ride to the center. If you're looking for a good hotel at a fantastic price, you can't beat it. You'll have to pay more in the center. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"nice hotel, wish it was in a better neighborhood"
the hotel was very good, staff very nice, spoke english without a problem and they were very helpful in everything I needed or had questions about. Unfortunately the hotel is not in the best area, it is very close to the main international train station which is convenient, but in the late afternoon or evening I could not go out without someone offering […] to meet me in my hotel for a "party" for two. I had an early train when I left and the desk clerk had the kitchen bag me a sandwich, juice and piece of fruit to take with me as the kitchen was not open yet. As I said, lovely hotel, great staff, but the neighborhood is not the best. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is not in a great area-but very close to the train station. As soon as we figured out how to take the underground subway (also in the train station) downtown-we realized the location was more easy to get to other sites. The breakfast was good , The room is small but adequate. The bed was hard-not a great mattress. The staff was wonderful. […] Very helpful-spoke good english. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"As far as 4-star hotels go, it shoots and misses"
This place has all the trappings and the appearance of a very nice place, but it just doesn't cut it. Not bad by any means, and certainly reasonably priced (as expected for an out-of-the-way spot in a Central European city) but not up to snuff. Big drawbacks: the free wireless has a signal that's only strong enough on the lower floors, so essentially […] those in the upper levels don't get this amenity at all. Walls are then and elevators are extremely noisy: the ding-dong of the arriving elevator echoes through the halls; if you have a room right next to the shaft (as I did) you'd probably need earplugs to sleep. I asked to relocate and the professional staff could accommodate me, but even when the room is down the hall, you can still hear those darn elevators. Breakfast was fine and thorough though only average quality, and accompanied by that same ding-dong. Location is good if you need to be near that particular train station, but Budapest has three main ones, and it's either a 20 minute walk or a metro ride to get to the city center. All in all, just an average place--not bad for the price, but you won't get 4-star quality. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient Budapest location, great value..."
The Royal Park is a real find. It is immaculate and appealing, and only a brief walk from the eastern train station Keleti, from which the metro will whisk you wherever you need to go. The front desk is staffed by very professional, helpful people, and the breakfast buffet is bountiful and beautifully laid out. I will definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Royal Park Hotel - a must stay!!"
I went to Budapest for a long weekend and this hotel was tremendous! The biggest benefit in my mind was the quietness of the property.....I read so many reviews of hotels where the walls are paper thin or the traffic noise is disturbing. I couldn't hear a thing from my room, didn't hear people walking around on the floor above me, and it is on a dead […] end side street so outside noise is non-existent. However, it was in a location within a 5 minute walk from the Metro which was very convenient. The room was comfortable, the bathroom/shower very good and the people at the front desk were extremely helpful with directions or any other assistance. There is no question if I were to go back to Budapest, I would stay at this property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"First visit to Budapest"
The hotel is located in a perfect location, next to the main train station and a metro. The buffet breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable and we loved the shower. I wouldn't recommend visiting Budapest during X-mas.Genuine Expedia guest review
Not a spectacular hotel, but a great value. Hotel is very clean and has a very contemporary decor. Wifi did work in the rooms, but worked in the lobby. Breakfast was good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, breads, juices, etc. Located near public transport (bus, subway, and train). Staff was helpful. Note: the bathroom is not very private: glass wall in […] the shower is open to the sleeping area...consider this if sharing a room with someone. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

new hotel, nice rooms , clean and modern decoration. great location, near the main train station and underground train. Breakfast was also excellent. Great for sightseeing in the city area, would recommend this hotel to others !Genuine Expedia guest review
"Econolodge Style Hotel"
This hotel is located right by the Central Train Station in the Middle of the City. There is significant construction in the area. Public Transportation is good. The hotel itself is tired looking. There is really no service to find and they try to nickle and dime you. No toiltries in the room. The room itself has older furniture, it is small and it […] is definately not 4 star room. I would recommend this a low budget hotel for 1 or 2 night transit stay. This is an Econolodge type hotel and not in a good sense. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent service and location"
We received accurate, excellent advice about things to do in Budapest from the hotel desk staff. Breakfast was very good, with a wide choice of warm and cold foods, including some local specialities. The orange drink mix was the only flaw.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"There are better ones in Budapest!!!"
This hotel is brand new, they only opened half a year ago. When I arrived to the hotel in an older rental car, there was a "bellman type of guy (however not officially a bellman) " standing outside. Because I looked young and spoke Hungarian he asked me if I am only coming in for a minute. Then I responded that I intend to stay here for the night. Immediately […] after he started laughing as he did not believe me. Then I asked him if he has a problem with me staying here?! Of course when I pulled out the AMEX Platinum for charges to use it for the guy apologised. Certain sign that they judge you with what you arrive with even if you are nicely dressed and polite. Just try to arrive with a little gas saver car and they do not even consider you a customer. THESE PEOPLE ARE CLEARLY JUDGEMENTAL! Check-in was old fashioned (you have to fill out a guest card and every member who is staying there has to do that). I travel all over the world but not even in thirld world countries you have to do this anymore. Oh well, I went up to the room but noticed that there was no wifi. Then I called them and was told that the wifi is available in the lobby only but they have internet cable. No big deal, that works too. I went down to get the cable and I got a 6(!) inch long cable (15cm). The only plug was at the corner of the room and because my laptop's plugin is on the left side, it barely reached the other side of my laptop. So I had to squeeze myself to the corner of the room if I wanted to use the internet. I was also told when I got the cable to make sure I bring it back (like I would steal it). No room service, you gotta go down to the so-called restaurant if you wanna use it. The room was modern and nice looking however incredibly small, even small in Hungarian standards. The next day the elevator was not working at all so everybody had to take the stairs (some people from the 7th floor). Self parking costs a fortune but that's OK because it is downtown Budapest so that is normal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice near railway station and Metro"
This is a new hotel with a modern design. It is located within 4 min walk from Keleti Railway station, and the Metro (about 3- 4 stops from downtown. For the price I paid, this hotel is a rose.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient for Keleti station"
We picked this one mainly for its convenient location immediately next to Keleti station. Very clean, modern hotel, the only disadvantage being that the shower has a frosted window to the bedroom, which means you have to take a shower in the dark if you don't want to wake up sleeping family members. A SPAR supermarket is right across the street, open […] until late. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cozy, clean and comfy"
This hotel is conveniently located near one of the train stations. It's newly renovated inside and is very clean. You get a breakfast with the room rate, and it's excellent. Staff was very helpful. "Modern hotel close to station"
This hotel is very close to the main railway station, although pedestrian access is a little trickly while renovation works at the station and surrounding area go on. Staff were obliging and luggage storage is an option following check out. Tourist sites and attractions are some distance from the hotel, however judicious use of a "hop on, hop off" bus […] service can overcome some logistics, or try the local public transport options. "Good hotel, very convenient for train station"
The hotel is of a high standard. The staff are very helpful and speak very good English. They supply an information pack about things to do in Budapest and were able to book tickets for a performance for me at very short notice. There is a small bar/cafe in the lobby for drinks but no food available. I didn't opt for breakfast but I think it is brought […] to your room. I chose this hotel as it is close to the station and I was traveling by train. Luggage can be left before and after check-in/check-out times. There is easy transport by metro/bus etc to other parts of the city or you can walk. They asked for a deposit against possible purchases from the minibar. This may be normal in Budapest. Very convenient for Keleti station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Park Hotel. The staff is friendly and able to communicate well in English. The room was clean and functional, quiet and large enough for three persons. The location of the hotel is perfect - literally a 2 minute walk to Keleti railway station, and also on the red subway line, so easy access to downtown and the Danube […] is not a problem. We stayed two nights at the Royal park, one before and one on our return from a trip abroad. On our way back home, the return flight was delayed so we arrived very late at the hotel, but they hold our reservation and were kind enough to check us in at 3am. Moreover, we had to leave early in the morning, so they provided us with breakfast packages at 5am. Overall a great hotel - highly recommended! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Royal Park Boutique Hotel"
Excellent Hotel. Inexpensive and close to the Train Station. Easy to get into Town and surrounding areas of interest. The only comment I would have to make is that the Tea & Coffee Facilities in the Room are extra at 10 Euros per night. But for the cost of the initial accommodation, this was not too much of an inconvenience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"an ok hotel in a not so good neighbourhood"
I chose the hotel because of it's convinient location. The room itself was nice and clean, but i have to say that the walls in the room were terribly thin. You could hear everything what your neighbours did and you could also hear the elevator going up and down the whole night. It is very unpleasent if you really needed a good night sleep like i did. […] The neightbourhood is one of the worst in the whole city so it's not advised to go around too much after it is dark. One more thing...the temperature of the room was extremelly hot and you cant change it by yourself and if you open the window you will hear all the noises from teh train station, since the hotel is located right next to one of the biggest train station of the town. The pictures don't lie... Just as beautiful in reality as the pictures state, if not even more. Amazing value! Have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world and not all of them were as good as this! "Good hotel, great value for money"
The stay overall was great. The breakfast is nothing to write home about (Hungarian breakfast offerings seem to differ a bit from the rest of Europe) but the room was very nice and clean and the cleaning staff did a nice job every day. The service was good, depending on who was at the desk - most of the staff was nice, but upon our departure the lady […] was quite blunt (no "how was you stay?" or "hope to see you again") but I guess you can't blame the hotel for that. Location was fine, very near to a train station and bus services, including tour buses pick-up point, which was walking distance. The Hotel and room itself was well decorated in good condition, however the air-conditioning in the room was very poor as it was too slow. Having complained twice to the reception, no alternative room was made available […] during our 4-night stay. This place was the best hotel we stayed in during our entire Europe holiday. If I had to find a fault with anything (and it isn't even a fault with the hotel itself) would be the area. Being almost right next door to the main train station, it isn't the prettiest neighbourhood in Budapest, but still, neither my wife nor I ever felt that we were in […] danger or anything. Everything about the hotel is really good. The breakfast, the elevators, the room, it was all perfect. We both found it funny that there is a window between the bathroom and the bedroom. There are blinds so that one of us can use the washroom in private, but still, it's kind of funny. Very close to the metro, and having the train station right nearby also makes it really easy if you're arriving and/or departing by train. Very modern and very tastefully designed.
