We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this beautiful, quaint thatched roof inn and pub.... With modern annex rooms which we highly recommend. The inn owners and staff were very friendly and the food served was excellent....try the braised partridge and the chocolate orange cake/ pudding.... Aside from Dorchester being nearby and Thomas Hardy's cottage and house etc....Cerne Abbas and the historic town of Sherborne are easy to get to .....take the back country B roads to go through picturesque villages....The Khemani's from Washington & Toronto

"A wonderful place to stay in the heart of Dorset"
The Crosskeys House was a wonderful place to stay. It was perfectly located for day trips to Lyme Regis, Bath and Stonehenge. The local village is rural, scenic and peaceful and has a good pub. The rooms were clean, well decorated and very comfortable. Robin and Liz were wonderful hosts and were very helpful in providng directions to the places we wanted […] to go. Breakfasts were good and served prompty. The rates were reasonable. This was definitely one of the best places we stayed at during out trip to England.
