"Great choice!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Price and location were right. Grounds and maintainance inside and out were above average....flowers blooming everywhere! Front desk friendly and efficient. Room spacious and well appointed with 2 Q beds and new, big, flat screen TV (room 301). Towels were not lush, but there were 4 of them, so no issues!

"Good mid-price choice"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.
"2 nights in Vancouver."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Hotel was very clean and new. Hotel is in middle of Chinatown so you won't see many chain restaurants or food other than very traditional Asian.

"Hidden Gem"
Recently remodelled and very well done. Very friendly staff. Rooms were small but our single room easily accommodated two people with luggage. Great area -- close to West End and beaches, yet also withing walking distance of museums, main shopping area, etc.
"redone retro."
Good location, helpful staff, room clean, good value
"Don't be scared"
When you pull up for the first time you may rethink whether you should trust unknown reviewers but don't worry, once you step into the lobby your faith will be restored. Great place to have as a home base for a weekend in Vancouver. Not a lot of amenities but clean, comfortable, cool vibe, and friendly staff.
"Hip little hotel in downtown"
The Burrard is a great little hotel nestled in downtown Vancouver. Very chic remodel with small quant rooms. The marketing department gets a A+ for the funny sarcastic signs and materials in the hotel and in each room. My favorite was the parking lot sign warning thieves that the hotel knows karate. There was a hiccup regarding charging my card for […] the room when it was prepaid, but that was rectified without problem. The beds could use some updating though. They are quite soft with very little support. Otherwise a great experience. The hotel staff was quite helpful when we asked questions. There was some construction going on next door which did start a little earlier than we would have liked, but was within reason. Read more
"Don't Judge This Book By Its Cover"
If you were walking by The Burrard, you might not find it to be a very inviting place to stay. From the outside, it looks like a somewhat dated hotel/motel. However, once you enter the lobby, you begin to realize that you were dead wrong (and you feel a little bad about those accommodation-ist prejudices you're harboring). This place is absolutely fabulous. […] Renovated top to bottom throughout, great style choices, ridiculously clean, first-rate staff, excellent amenities, and all with a wonderful sense of humor. "Excellent hotel, excellent staff, excellent value."
The location was ideal for me; the staff were friendly, prompt, and attentive; and the hotel was attractive & well kept.
"Can't wait to come back!"
I loved The Burrard. Great retro-Euro boutique hotel feel in a great location. Super clean and comfortable and great service. Would definitely stay again!
clean and comfortable, although parking is not free but thats okey.
"Burrard Inn in Vancouver, BC, Canada"

"Value in Vancouver"
Such a great value in downtown Vancouver! From the comfort of the room to the helpful staff everything was perfect for our week stay there. What I liked best was nothing was tacked onto the price. The bottled water, free phone calls, great coffee, umbrellas (thankfully) to the bicycles were all there for the asking.

"Burrard"
Don't let the outer structure of The Burrard fool you. It may look a little old and run down, but the inside is very clean and chic. The elevator was under repair during my whole stay, but it was an easy climb up to my top level room. I loved the complimentary water, free wi-fi and phone calls to the US. It is in the heart of downtown, right next to […] the Sheraton wall center, and is a short walk away from major attractions. If you take a bus from Seattle to Vancouver, the quick shuttle stops minutes away from the hotel. The staff was very friendly as well. I would highly recommend this hotel! Read more

"Hipster Hotel"
Pros: -Nice comfortable bed, loved the retro, clean-look decor of the room. -Decently priced rooms. -Liked the quirkiness of the inn itself (piped in music in the atrium, amusing signage, etc.) and front desk person was very helpful and professional. Cons: -Elevator was out of commission during our stay so we had to use the stairs. Good news is there […] are only 4 flights max to walk up, bad news is lugging over-sized luggage up those 4 flights is a ginormous pain. -Nice pictures of beautiful people were laid out on the bed courtesy of the hotel, but I would have preferred a little pamphlet describing the hotel and it's features (parking, telephone, etc.) -Hair in bottom of the fridge. Yikes. On the whole, I would recommend this inn to others, I'm pretty sure the last point was an anomaly. I'd definitely stay here again. When they get their elevator fixed. lol Read more

Walk to everything. Great rooms and quiet. Will stay there every time.
"Unique hotel"
Fun place to stay, great central location, great price. Loved the free bikes. Lots of character. Super clean, very comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again. Only thing they are missing is a pool/hot tub and maybe a continental breakfast, but overall well worth it.

"Not family friendly"
First off there's 5 of us and the room was about 200sq ft. Give or take, the sink was smaller than an average size sink, no fan in the bathroom, hard pillows, kept tripping on the wooden bed frame, no eating area or room service. Were low maintenance but this was lower than low mintence. Don't forget a ridiculous $20 a night parking fee.
"The Burrard - Retro and Charming!"
After reviewing several hotels in downtown Vancouver decided to select The Burrard after seeing photos and reading reviews. Wanted something different from the chain hotels. We were not disappointed! Very tastefully done, retro feel but with all the updated conveniences. If it had been a ittle warmer outside, I definitely would have taken advantage […] of touring the area on one of their bicycles. The Front Desk Staff went above and beyond helping us with anything we needed. Secured parking is conveniently located (extra charge) downstairs from hotel. We had the Queen Plus Room for one couple and it was plenty of room, including desk for our computer. Loved the espresso in the morning. The hotel also provides free wi-fi, bottled water, as well as free local and U.S phone calls. Very charming! Wished we could have stayed longer there. Read more
"Hip"
The atmosphere was fun, the staff was excellent. Lots of great perks: *Free bike rental *Free local and US calls *Free bottled water *Free WIFI We were able to walk everywhere. The only con was that our room smelled a little musty even though it was clean.

"Burrard Inn saves our vacation!"
We had just travelled all day from South Jersey to Vancouver to find that the apartment we rented was a total nightmare. After waiting for hours for the manager to make things right (he did not) we checked Hotels.com on my iPad at the Starbucks across the street. Found the Burrard and read the great reviews and ten minutes later we had a reservation […] and were in a cab. Front desk clerk helped us to calm down and gave us a clear, comfortable, quiet room. Great bed! The small, retro hotel was refurbished in June. It is very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. The staff was terrific. The price was right. Thank you, Burrard Inn, for saving our vacation. Read more
"Burrard Vancouver"
Very conveniently located, recently renovated, generally very nice. Rooms are small, but internet and bike rentals are free.
"Small room great style!"
Great older hotel which has been redecoracted to modern retro. Great location but the rooms are super small! Would stay here again though! Loved it!
"The Burrard - Vancouver"
Had a feeling this place would make me feel right at home and it did. Absolutely loved the retro decor and never had a more comfortable sleep in a hotel. Well done.

"Renovated Burrard is a Gem"
The newly renovated Burrard, despite it's bland exterior, is quite wonderful. With complementary wifi, bottled water, espresso, and bike rental, the services are great as well. The room was clean and pleasant, and our only complaint was a lack of AC on a rare warm evening. The location is great, the staff friendly, and the amenities pleasant. Also, […] the it's quite affordable compared to other nearby places. Read more
"Hotel in Vancouver downtown."
Location is very good. Staff super nice. Their beds are the most comfortable. The fees they charge for parking is a tad high, more than what it costs to rent my car per day, but then most big cities do charge a lot for parking. I would definitely stay here.
"The Burrard in Vancouver BC"
Easy walking distance to all downtown Vancouver; friendly helpful staff; gold and silver seats were nice touches to brighten the foyer and rooms; surprise zen-type garden/deck area inside with colorful chairs for guests to use; good sense of humor in signs around the hotel. Next door to a coffee shop and a 7-11; free coffee.
"Near perfect"
I was very impressed with the Burrard. The staff were incredibly friendly and always available. They stored my bicycle in a secure storage room for me everyday. There is free wifi, cable, comfortable beds, in room safe, and eco friendly bath products. Besides the extra thick pillows that made it awkward to sleep on your back, I was perfectly comfortable […] in my room. I'm a side and stomach sleeper anyway. The room and the whole hotel had a retro yet modern style that made me happy. One night at 4am, a woman was loudly walking in the hallway, clicking her high heels. Don't know why she kept walking back and forth, but it woke me up. Shortly after, I heard the hotel staff confronting her and telling her she needed to mind the other guests. I was really impressed that they were on her about it so quickly. The hotel staff were more than happy to hold my bags in storage til nearly 10pm on the day I checked out. My ONLY disappointment was that there was a sign saying that if you leave your towels hanging, they will spare washing them to conserve water, but I left my towels hanging and they were removed anyway. That bugged me a little. Overall I would love to stay there again! Read more
"Nice"
Simple, clean room. We faced Burrard St. which was a bit loud due to traffic, but it wasn't terrible. We were on 4th floor. Free bike rentals were nice. Simple 3 speed cruisers. Good enough for tooling around town and Stanley Park. Nice staff. Very helpful and friendly. Espresso machine in room -- girlfriend claimed it to be best hotel room coffee she […] has ever had. I agree. Not just good for hotel, but better than some coffee shops. Good location. Our first time to Vancouver and we did a lot in 2 days and felt the location was pretty centralized to hit all of the West End. Made it to Kitsilano and Granville Island too. Read more
"The Burrard Inn...check out the free bicycles"
The Burrard was cool little 50s motel that has been renovated with a modern chic motif. The room was small but clean and it had everything that you need including a great shower. It is close to everything and the people at the front are really helpful. Definitely make use of their kitsch bicycles for a ride around Stanley Park.
"Small but convenient"
I loved the Burrard and would definitely stay there again. It was a great location and it was a total bonus to check out a bike and ride down to Stanley Park. The only nit I would say is that when we booked on Hotels.com it said the room would sleep 3 and it was a queen bed only. The staff was very friendly and accomodating, however. Also just a note […] that they don't answer the front desk phone at night so if you need something you have to go down to the front desk and get it yourself. Read more
"The Burrard Inn"
From what I understand, the hotel has been renovated according to my friends who live in the area. The hotel staff was extremely curtious, the rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. The only unfortunate part was the room did not have air conditioning. On a extremely warm day, which is when I stayed, the room was extremely hot and the only way […] to cool down was to leave the door open. Not ideal if you don't want people looking in as they walk by. I would probably recommend this place if the weather, outside, is cooler. Read more
"Burrard Hotel Vancouver - 15min walk to convention"
Low cost hotel, but very nicely renovated. Fast wireless internet, local and US phone calls are free, espresso maker and fridge in the room, huge flat screen TV as well (didn't try it though). Also the usual iron / ironing board / safe etc was all there. The fresh renovation comes at the price of fresh paint smell, which can be quite intense when it's […] hot out and the only way to get fresh air in is to have the door open (all doors open into a courtyard). The courtyard is nicely redone as well, there is constantly music played over the day - not really my style but also not to loud. Overall I think this hotel is recommendable if you're on a budget yet need a comfortable place to crash in Vancouver close to the convention center and with high-speed internet. Read more
"Loved loved loved the Burrard"
It's an older hotel that has recently been revamped. It's got character - something missing in oh so many businesses. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Only slight annoyance was music playing in courtyard during the day. So if you wanted to rest in the afternoon and get away from the bustle, you were still subjected to loudish music. This minor […] issue did not outweigh all the positives of this hotel. Best hotel I have stayed at in the past year! Read more
