The beds were very very comfortable,rooms were clean,but only I (my husband says) would like the pool water hotter. Location is great , a short walk through to shops, Restaurants & to waterfront.

YES,Yes, yes!! We will definitely be having our next stay here at the Nelson! Who wouldn't want to swim in a lovely 28 degree pool, play tennis, go bike riding, use the bbq and gym and all being a few steps from the many shops as well. The rooms, although not particularly large, were absolutely lovely and clean and the beds were comfy too. Our experience was good. we found the staff to be very friendly and helping. only thing which bothered me was the water in the swimming pool. I found the water a little dirty and not fresh. My overall experience was good.

The room we stayed in was very spacious, with a huge spa in the bathroom. There was a separate lounge room, which was great. The pool was amazing - it was set at 30 degrees and we would come back just to use the pool!. We were very impressed with room layout with queen bed, comfortable lounge, and a table and two chairs inside and outside on the balcony. Having a mini kitchen was a great help. But the best part was the very attractive pool area with its heated pool and inviting lounge chairs.

Great hotel right in the heart of Nelson Bay. Easy to walk to the Marina and to restaurants. Great heated pool especially at this time of year when its just a little cool to swim ! Would definitely stay here again! Can also park your car onsite which is a bonus !

We stayed 4 nights and did enjoy our stay, however there is no lift in this hotel, had to carry suitcases up two flights (they did offer assistance if we could not manage). Beds were made and clean towels each day but no wiping down of sinks or anything else etc. Was a bit noisy at times as it was on the main road.

Great location, helpful staff and the pool was fantastic - so warm! Recently updated, The Nelson Resort is very clean and is within walking distance of everything you need - restaurants, shopping, bars, touristy things. There are 3 flights of stairs to the top floor which some may find a little difficult if they have mobility problems, didn't bother […] us but may be an issue for some. The Little Nel Cafe located onsite does a great breakfast too, I'm not a Toasted Muesli person but theirs was divine...the Eggs Benedict and coffee are great too. We stayed 5 days in a Deluxe King room, next time I will book a spa suite as they are bigger and the balcony is larger as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our time at The Nelson and next time we go to the bay we will definitely return. Read more

Great amenities, close to marina, shops and walks along bay. Breakfast at Little Nell Cafe fantastic. All staff friendly and very helpful. Great stay to unwind and see the sights around the bay. Recommend to anyone. Beware though there are many stairs to tackle if your are on the second (top) level as there is no lift.
