The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good for some of the city sights. The only downside was the lack of reasonable restaurants in the neighborhood.

Overall, this is an ok budget hotel. The hotel was a great value for the money....however, the staff could not have been ruder. After having waited in line for at least 15 minutes to check in, I finally got up to the counter and they closed the line I was waiting in. I mentioned something to the staff and they completely ignored me. It took forever […] to check in and we had already booked and paid for our rooms through hotels.com. Other attempts to talk to the staff ended in them either ignoring or laughing at me. This isn't a hostel, but the price is on par with some of the other hostels in the area. The location is decent since it's between the bus station (10 minutes away by foot) and the Bell Tower (15-25 minutes by foot). There is also an internet bar (网吧) on the way to the train station. There is a restaurant downstairs but there are plenty of places to eat in the area so you should venture out and explore. If you're not looking for the luxury hotel experience and just want a cheap room and a bed to sleep in then there's no reason why you shouldn't come here. You can also have them hire a driver to take you to the airport. One last thing: save the receipt for your deposit. You'll need to give them this to get your deposit back. Read more

No frills but exactly what we wanted. Handy for sights in the town and great as a base if you are heading to see the Terracotta Warriors.A couple of the people on reception speak English but go armed with a phrase book. Room was clean, good shower and air con worked.

The Jinjiang is a great chain of basic hotels in China. The rooms were big and clean with excellent facilities. The staff seemed friendly however we didn't deal with them much ourselves as we had a guide in Xi'An (booked through China Pleasure Tour) I would recommend having a guide in Xi'An as very little English is spoken in this area and the transport […] system is basic. The hotel breakfast was very cheap at only 18Y (£1.80!) for an oriental/western breakfast buffet, western breakfast comprised of cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast, jam, coffee and orange juice. The location is great, situated within the old city walls. Again, as we had a guide and transport this didn't really affect us but it was always a quick car journey to wherever we were going. This is an excellent budget-priced hotel. The room was basic but quite adequate. The service was excellent both at the front desk and room upkeep. The area around the hotel was alive with a variety of restaurants and interesting shopping. It was a short walk to the city centre. Altogether I was very happy.

We spend only 2 days in Xi'an but the hotel was one of the few nice experiences in Xi'an. The staff were very friendly and polite. We did get very early and they checked us in with not an issue. They always had a lovely smile and were very helpful. It was also a bargain price for a nice, clean room.

My 1st stay in a Jinjiang Inn, staff very helpful although laundry was`nt returned on same day and ended up being sent to my next hotel in Beijing 3 days later !! I realised that it would be a Basic Hotel / Room.........Breakfast mainly Chinese but Toast, Fruit and Yoghurts available, approx £18 GBP a night so Value was good. 20/25 min walk to Bell […] Tower but local bus stops approx 200m from hotel and gets you there in about 6 / 7 mins. Beware of Taxi Drivers at Melody Hotel Airport Bus Stop...........They refused to use meters at night and wanted to charge me 20 / 30 Yuan to hotel. This should be the Day Rate of 6 Yuan !! I ended up getting to hotel in an Auto ricksaw for 15 Yuan ( again overpriced !! ). Dreadful that they are like this in Xian as rest of 18 day trip to Shanghai, Hangzhou and Beijing I encountered no problems at all !!! Read more

Probably the best Jinjiang I have stayed in. Staff at desk always said ' hello' as I walked in or saw them in the halls. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious...always had coffee ( a rarity at many places ). A bit of a walk to city centre but not unbearable. Near a great mall that had a huge selection of different restaurants. I like the Jinjiang chain […] but this hotel in particular...one of the staff, Lucy, made it a point of helping me get a taxi when I left and held an umbrella over me and my luggage until I got a taxi...it was a wonderful stay. We check was swift - 100CNY is requested as a room key deposit. Room clean and quiet (we got a back room). Corridor could get noisy in the evening but nothng detrimental. Needed Laundry to be done which was pricy but the service was quick. Breakfast good value at 15CNY each. A good walk (or taxi ride) however is required to get to the bell tower. Good standard hotel, not expensive and with clean rooms. One negative remark though: it was mentioned on the website that all rooms had a view on the city. This is not true as the window from my room looked out on a wall from another buiding, about 10 meters away.

Propreté impeccable. Personnel accueillant. Equipement de la chambre satisfaisant, correspondant au prix. Seule réserve : au petit déjeuner, il n'y a pas de vrai café, mais seulement un médiocre café instantané ; il faut demander à l'hôtel de servir du vrai café, notamment pour les visiteurs étrangers.
