This hotel was perfect for our week here in Huelva. It was exactly what we wanted and it pleased us in every way. The staff were absolutely wonderful, they couldn't have been friendlier or nicer.

The Residencial Marés is a very good buy. The room is old-fashioned but charming. It allowed me to do some laundry in the shower/sink and hang it out on the back balcony for the Algarve sun to dry. The air conditioner worked like a charm but it was hard to get wxi-fi on the second floor where I was. Breakfast, served in the attached restaurant, was great. Staff was courteous and helpful. Right out the door you have an automated bank teller and access to the old town and access to the water taxis. I recommend this hotel to budget travelers.

We booked this a year out it seemed.. Our travels were from South America to Europe..This property seemed great.. an old tuna village converted to an ecco friendly resort.. everthing was great.. the room quaint and clean, the bed AWFUL.. hard and small but english TV and lots of atmosphere..staff friendly and breakfast the BEST,, lots of choices. Private transport to the islands to beach.. unfortunatly we were there during a "sports week" on the island and the MUSIC was so loud coming across the waterway there was a constant "BOOM_BOOM" until 10:30 at night.. Ear plugs on the night we went to bed early was good.. the location secluded and about 1 mile from the town.. if you do not have a card, I think there is a shuttle.. Do not miss Tavira.. Albacora would of been perfect with "boom_boom"
