"Met all expectations for a Paris hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Traveling with two little kids (5 & 1), we had the junior suite. It was very clean and spacious (paris hotels are notorious for small rooms). Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful. Location is great with the RER and metro right outside doorsteps. Starbucks just outside, two malls within blocks and a good shopping area while most major sites are within 30 minute walking. Reccomend.

"Good deal for the price"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.
"Five star experience"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
This was our second stay at Hotel de Vendome and it topped the excellent experience that we enjoyed in November 2010. We were upgraded to a corner deluxe suite for an anniversary trip and welcomed with red rose petals in the room. Every detail of the hotel is first class with a very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast in the room every morning was a luxury followed by a walk in the Tuileries just a block from the hotel. If you're looking for the ultimate elegant boutique Parisian hotel, then you'll find it here. We'll be coming back to this one again. Bon voyage.

Good service and a decent area, very convinent location with a market of all food and goods! 2 mins walk from metro! Just a little far from center paris! Good service and polite reception!

"Good but needs some renovation"
The hotel is conveniently placed next to the Place d'Italie metro station and just across the police force headquarters. Therefore the neighborhood is nice and safe. The room was not too large but enough for a couple. The shower and toilet are clean, but quite narrow, so most of the time, you might be touching the walls while taking a shower. The […] bed and covers are really clean and the room is cleaned daily. No hygiene problems. However the bed cover, the carpets and the wallpapers are quite old and they seem dirty and old-fashioned. This reduces the perceived quality of the room and it is somehow ironic to see a large flat screen TV in such a room. In overall, it is a good hotel for the price you pay, cheaper than the private rooms of some hostels. It might get better if the rooms are renovated. Read more

"Des Artes"
This hotel provides exactly what it says on the tin - affordable (by Parisian standards) accommodation in an area well serviced by public transport. The accommodation is basic but satisfactory, and the staff are friendly. So, if you're looking for a reasonably clean room and bathroom for a short stay in Paris then this place should fit the bill.
"Hotel Des Arts, Paris - Good Budget Option"
The hotel had two primary benefits, firstly it's relatively low price and secondly quite a good location for the price - very close to the Metro Station at Place D'Italie and therefore quite handy for getting around to the rest of Paris. The neighborhood itself was not a picturesque part of Paris, though by no means an unpleasant area, and the hotel […] looked accross the street to a major Police station, there were also restaurants, cafes and bakeries and some shopping within walking distance. The hotel was clean and the room small but comfortable, perfectly adequate for a budget stay in Paris. Cosmetically the hotel in general and the room was a bit tired and shabby; my shower had a broken fitting and it seemed as if some renovation work hadn't quite been finished with some rough paintwork around. The staff were very pleasant and also quite forgiving of my poor French. The front door of the hotel was kept locked - which surprised me initially and was opened by the concierge. But as my bags (before check-in and after check-out) were stored in the lobby area, otherwise unsecured, I was relieved that passers-by didn't have unsupervised access to the hotel. I was a bit nervous about leaving my bags, especially my lap-top, as there didn't seem to be much in place to prevent other people in the lobby tampering or taking them (especially if the concierge changed over between leaving and collecting the bags), but nothing untoward happened. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel as a good budget option for staying in Paris, and it served me very well for the four days I was there. Read more

The hotel needs redecorating and is a bit musty inside, but it's okay with a supermarket round the corner and the metro a short walk away. Nice area and obviously very secure having the police station as a neighbour.
"Hotel des Arts - Proche place Italie"
L'hotel est très bien situé : à 2 min à pied de la place d'italie. Par contre, les chambres sont très vieillottes, la moquette sale. Durant mon séjour, je n'ai pas eu d'eau chaude (ni geste commercial lors du paiement de mon séjour) et j'ai pu "pleinement" profité du son de la TV de la chambre voisine jusqu'aux environs de 1h30 du matin ! En bref, je […] n'y retournerai pas et ne le conseillerais pas. Read more
Read more
"défraichi"
La peinture au mur s’écaille, la douche vieille et le métro fait vibrer l'immeuble. Le lit est bon
