Was greeted with a big smile. The owner Andrew was very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to park and things to see and do, even emailed me before the stay just to check if everything is ok. Breakfast was of very decent quality and with great variety, too. The B&B is recently reopened followed by a refurbishment so the rooms are very nice and clean. Only let down was that the walls are a bit thin, as I could hear below snoring and talking in the room below ours, might just be our room though. Overall very pleasant stay, would definitely recommend.

"Comfort combined with an exceptional breakfast."
Our ground floor 'garden' room was large with an amazingly comfortable king size bed. Everything had been thought about from chilled water in a small fridge to bath robes and wine glasses. Although we enjoy good health, the room was clearly suitable for disabled guests with the bathroom laid out as a wet room. "No cuddles"
We had the downstairs room with access to the garden, It was a lovely room, clean well decorared with a 6' bed. breakfast was lovely and our hosts were very friendly and looked after us very well. the only one concern is that from our room we could hear the owners milling about in their private accomadation so naturally assuming that if we can hear […] them they can hear us this put a stop to any romantic coming togrther. in short i would reccoment this B&B to anyone but if you are on a break and looking to have some cuddles (not using inappropriate language) chose another room. It was a pleasure staying there, so very comfortable, nice friendly people. The choices on the breakfast menu were fantastic. Breakfast was a real treat, served in the surperb Sun Lounge. Stayed here overnight and we were made very welcome. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Lovely comfortable room with large bed. "Good place to stay"

Me and the wife was very happy with the service and room,I have a taxi and was happy with the gated parking its a bit of a walk into town,down hill there and up hill back. Hidden away up a private driveway, Summerfields house is an unexpected gem. Maintained perfectly, the house offers several rooms (we had a largish party and saw two of them) which are immaculately presented. Our room was ensuite and on the ground floor - it was exceptional. Apart from the ubiquitous TV, there were tea and coffee making facilities, a […] fridge and a helpful info pack. We were also met at the door by the friendly and helpful hostess and looked after very well. Better still was the remarkable breakfast which could be pre-ordered from the handy menu.
