We arrived at Hotel Rural Quinta dos Poetas on NYE 2012 and stayed for two nights. It was challenging to find the hotel even with Google maps/GPS, Recommend asking for detailed directions. Also, you must have a car as there is nothing within walking distance. We stayed for 2 nights here over New Years. The hotel has a restaraunt that served a delicious 5 course New Years Eve dinner. We were traveling with our 15 month old and the staff was very welcoming (and tolerant) of his behavior. The chef even came out to socialize with us. Overall it was a memorable experience for our family. The hotel and the grounds are quite inviting. In a rural setting, the hotel grounds are quite expansive, with lots of walking areas, pool, play area for the kids, a putting green and even 2 holes of golf. In the lobby area there is a comfortable sitting area with a fireplace and nearby a large dining room for breakfast. The room itself is modest but clean and comfortable. Wi-fi was not available in the room, only in the lobby area.

We booked 11 nights in this hotel and we would have been happy to stay longer but our schedule did not allow it. Hotel Velamar is the best value for money hotel that we have ever stayed in. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel has four floors and the restaurant is on the fourth floor with panoramic views of the sea and surrounding countryside making breakfast and very pleasant meal. Our only complaint was that the bed was hard. The location is very good, there is a wide range of inexpensive restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel and the buses to/from Albufeira stop close to the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting the Algarve in November 2012. We were looking to visit Faro and opted for this hotel in Olhao since we had a rental car. This hotel is ideal if you don't mind driving to see sights and want a really nice hotel. The room itself was modern and large. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was lots of free parking out front.

Reserved a 1 bedroom apartment but was given a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment at no additional cost. Apartment was amazing, kitchen fully stocked with... plates, utensils etc. Furniture was a little dated and the beds weren't incredibly comfortable but were fine for a few nights. Free parking for us right in front of our room. 3 different swimming pools with a kiddie pool! About a 5 minute drive to the waterfront area with lots of restaurants and shopping. Only bad thing for us was the tile floor seemed clean but with our 10 month old baby crawling around her legs and feet were turning black from the dust. Also the water seemed to have an odd odor to me but could have just been the area. Overall for the price we paid the accomodations were amazing! The former little white fishing village of Albufeira, now densely developed beneath a sea of apartments and mid-rise blocks, is the region’s most popular resort. Estuvimos cinco días en los Apartamentos Turístico Club Albufeira en el Puente de la Constitución. Solo tengo que decir que todo es bueno; limpieza, mobiliario, menaje, comodidad, instalaciones..... lo único, es que están a 2.800/km del centro de Albufeira, pero hay bus urbano, si no quieres llevar el coche por el tema del aparcamiento. Vi var generelt veldig fornøyd med hotellet. Leiligheten var stor og hadde mye utstyr på kjøkkenet. Hotell-området var veldig stort med veldig mange leiligheter og 4 ulige bassengområder med resteuranter. Veldig bra minimarket med hyggelig betjening. Leiligheten var mye eldre og slitt enn på bildene på nettet. På nettet sto det at det var 1,2 km til […] stranda, men vi målte 2,5 km. Vi syns derfor hotellet var litt langt unna stranda og byen, men det gikk buss hvert 30. min og billig taxi. Hotellet hadde 3 datamaskiner, men ofte virket bare 1 og den var aldri ledig.
