The staff were beyond accommodating. We arrived in Hanoi by train at about 4:30 in the morning, and went directly to the hotel. The night staff kindly let us in, fired up the computer and worked out a way to get us into a room a full 8 hours before check in time. We actually added a night at their other hotel (which is across the street) after our trip […] to Halong Bay. While we were gone they stored our bags, and had them waiting for us when we returned to check in across the street. Our flight out of Vietnam wasn't until midnight, and again they came through. They let us check out as late as was possible (which is impressive considering how full the hotel was) and held onto our bags again while we killed time exploring the city. They had a cab waiting for us that night when we got back to go to the airport, and remembered our names long after we'd checked out. The rooms at the Grand were very clean and modern, and with only four or five rooms on each floor it feels like you have the place to yourself even when it's full. This hotel is located near the Hoan Kiem Lake, the lake is nothing special, in fact it is a very dirty lake. The area surrounding this hotel is not very clean, lots of motorcycles in the street. I showed them the reservation confirmation email on my phone but they wanted a print out. Within minutes of locating my reservation, the guy from the travel desk was trying to pressure me into buying a cruise in Ha Long Bay. Room is pretty small, but we only stayed one night. I stayed one night this week before going on a short buisness trip to central Vietnam. The hotel was an easy 4 star that night. The staff helpful, the room great and the service adequate. On checkout I booked the same room and rate and scheduled an airport picukup for my wife for the day I would return to Hanoi. I arrived to find out they didn't send […] the driver to pick up my wife (it's her birthday), put us in a strongly smoke-smelling room and a smaller room that I had the last time (though I booked 'the same room'). The staff this second time were also less than satisfactory and the bell boy was not the same level of service I had the first stay. A once 'lovely' hotel is now just a Hanoi Hole-in-the-wall in my eyes. It's a shame...the hotel had some charm and coziness...a little customer service could have gone a long way for them to keep a lifetime customer. I will be back in Hanoi for two more nights next week and several more times this year, but will not be booking with them. Lost business. I travel a lot and stay in many hotels of all ranges. It is hard to upset me when it comes to service and I will rarely leave negative feedback. The service I received the first night kept the ratings of this hotel average...they did a good job the first time around, but it would take something special to give them a third try after the hassles and disappointment created from the second. My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our honeymoon after returning from a cruise on Ha Long Bay. First impressions were great, friendly and attentive doormen, easy check-in and a decent room. The room itself wasn't big but it was well appointed and comfortable with a newish bathroom. We booked a superior room, others were significantly […] larger. Decor is Vietnamese glam with some quirky touches thrown in, hence the boutique label this hotel attracts. The location was perfect for our final evening stroll around the lake which turned out to be the least hectic of the whole holiday (most hawkers seem to take Saturday nights off). Breakfast the next day was pretty good, they tried to include too many breakfast types resulting in a fairly small selection if you didn't fancy creamy penne or pumpkin soup first thing in the morning. Coffee is very Vietnamese, super sweet before any added sugar and just weird to an Australian palate. The reception staff were more than happy to arrange a fixed price car for our airport transfers and check out was a breeze. All in all a good little hotel, good value for money but perhaps best for a short stay. Read more

The staff at the Grand Gia Bao were very helpful especially in assisting us to arrange train tickets to go to Sapa. They held our luggage for us until we returned three days later and had our room ready early. The room was spacious although had a very musty smell. It is situated two blocks from Hanoi's old center. Breakfast is buffet style with a small but fine selection. Olimme varanneet DeLuxe-huoneen jokinäköalalla. Saimme huoneen 2. kerroksesta, josta oli näköala muutaman metrin päässä olevaan seinään. Toiseksi yöksi saimme huoneen 7. kerroksesta, näkymä ei tosin ollut järvelle (jokinäkymää ei ole olemassakaan). Huone ja hotelli ovat OK. Aamiainen hieman keskitasoa vaatimattomampi.

위치가 올드쿼터와 호안키엠호수에 가까이 있어 여러가지 편한점이 많고 28개 객실을 운영하기에 관리 등이 효율적으로 이루어질 수 있슴. 조식 등도 괜찮았고 직원들도 친절하고... 객실에 비치된 금고가정상작동이 안돼 조금 불편했으나 구지 금고를 이용할 필요가없었음.

Wir waren mehrfach in dem Hotel (Suite, Deluxe-Roogut m und President-Suite). Alle Räume sind recht groß, gut eingerichtet, haben mind. ein Fenster nach draußen - was in Hanoi nicht selbstverständlich ist - und sind sauber und in einem recht guten Zustand. Die Klimaanlage ist ideal montiert und läßt sich individuell regeln. Frühstück ist OK, aber auch […] etwas eintönig. Das Personal ist für vietnamesische Verhälnisse freundlich aber auch etwas vergesslich bei Serviceanfragen. Die Präsidentensuite hat leider keine Dusche sondern nur eine riesige Whirlpoolbadewanne, die aber erst nach ca. 30 Minuten gefüllt ist. Ein kurzes Abduschen am Morgen geht dann nur auf Knien in der Wanne. In unseren Zimmern konnte man den unglaublichen Lärm der Altstadt von Hanoi sehr gut ausblenden, weil die Fenster gut waren und die Straße vor dem Hotel nachts recht ruhig ist. Read more

Chambre pas propre, draps avec cheveux, poils et saleté (comme la Sdb) personnel familier, indisponible, inefficace, il a fallu demander 3 fois avec insistance pour que les draps soient changés. Et rigtig fint hotel som ligger taet paa alt i Hanoi. Hotellets personale ydede en super service under opholdet og var meget behjaelpelige med at arragere vores videre faerd i Vietnam. Eneste minus var at de havde overbooket og solgt vores vaerelse, saa vi fik et mindre end vi havde bestilt (dog stadig meget fint og stort).
