We selected the A&O Berlin Hauptbahnhof hotel because of the price and distance from the main station. The neighborhood of the hotel is a bit underdeveloped as the train station was relocated to the current site during expansion and not much business has migrated with the new service meaning if you want to eat near the hotel it will likely be at the […] train station. The hotel is a short 4-5 block walk to the station meaning the hotel is quiet while having easy access to the rest of the city/country. The hotel itself is clean and very modern featuring swipe cards, wi-fi (for a fee) a bar as well as fresh paint and regularly cleaned rooms. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was cleaned twice, but the sheets were not changed. The hotel staff was friendly all hours of the day and night speaking excellent English and offering advice when needed. I would recommend this hotel for those interested in traveling during the day and who do not mind a few train connections. Read more

Very good price & decent location. It's a hostel and very good value for money. I was pleasantly suprised at it's upkeep and condition. Far better than another one in the A&O chain at the Zoo Gardens. About a 10 minute walk to the main Berlin Hauptbanhof.

When my husband and I were planning our trip to Berlin we wanted a hotel that was reasonably priced and close to transport links so that we could easily access everything this wonderful city has to offer. We settled on A&O Hauptbahnhof after checking the prices and location, and we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is located about ten minutes […] walk from Berlin Hauptbahnhof, and from there you can hop on the regional trains, S-bahn, U-bahn and buses to get around. It took a little bit of finding when we got off the TXL express bus from the airport, but street names are clearly marked and because it's away from main roads you don't get any traffic noise. The only noises we heard at night was the trundling of trains going to the station and other guests also enjoying their holidays, but this wasn't a problem at all. The rooms are basic but well-equipped, although the beds are a little hard. The staff are very friendly and have excellent English skills - a bonus for someone who last spoke German during her GCSEs 14 years ago but is trying to make an effort (in the end we got by with "Germinglish" and thankfully most people were patient albeit amused). If I was going to offer any advice to potential guests it would be that if you're planning on having breakfast at the hotel try to get there early because the dining room gets quite busy after about 8.30am. Overall I was very satisfied with our stay, and if we return to Berlin I would definitely book a room here again. Read more

Room was clean, tidy and staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary drink was a welcome bonus. Room was more of a Hostel setting than Hotel, but thats what you'll be looking for primarily if your looking at this stop. Location was brilliant in relation to the Main Rail Station.

Stayed there for 3 days, the hotel is close to a main train station. Plenty of rooms, great confort and felt safe. My room was comfortable and clean, bathroom of good size. Breakfast buffet is very good. Definitely would go back.

Durch den Aufenthalt vieler junger Menschen (Schulklassen) ist es nachts sehr unruhig. Bis in die späten Nachtstunden (nach 24 Uhr) wird auf den Fluren laut gesprochen, gelacht und die Türen zugeschlagen. Ich habe das auch auf meiner Bewertung im Hotel vermerkt.

Rivolto ad una clientela di giovani che accettano di essere svegliati da schiamazzi in piena notte, non esiste alcun controllo di entrata ed uscita dall'hotel e quindi può accedere chiunque nella struttura e a qualunque ora. Hotel u. Team sehr nett, aber an schlafen war nicht zu denken, da bis morgens um 1:00 die Jugendlichen einer Reisegruppe über den Hotelgang getobt sind und rumgebrüllt haben. Unsere Kinder fanden das nicht lustig. Das Hotelteam war total unterbesetzt - sonst gäbe es wohl "Kontroll-Gänge" auf den Fluren.
