The hotel had been upgraded since our last visit a year ago The addition of a kettle, together with the fridge is most welcome. The bathrooms as well as the rooms have been upgraded. The television is now a modern unit with a good scattering of UK channels as well as Spanish, French and German. The biggest assets of this hotel are its stunning location […] and its excellent staff. Be aware that this is not a luxury hotel - it is simple, delightfully period place which has the feel of a large converted house. There is no pool, no luxury bathrobes or sun loungers but then again, the prices reflect this. I felt that the breakfast was not quite as good as last year, but was still of a good standard. The breakfast coffee machine should be retired and replaced -and its a mark of my regard for the hotel that that is my only issue with the Bahia. The Bahia is a small but comfortable hotel in a fantastic location. We spoke to several people who had holidayed in Puerto Pollensa before and many were familiar with the Bahia. The management company are upgrading the bedrooms which include large comfortable beds, fridge, tea & coffee facility and a safe deposit box. All are included free of charge […] as is the wifi. Our request for a balcony was met and we were able to enjoy the stunning views of the bay. The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice and the restaurant was very popular with other travellers, particularly in the evening. This is a great hotel, not quite sure why I'm sharing that as we are planning to return and are already finding it is fully booked on many of the dates we are looking at in 2013!! Read more

The Hotel Bahir represents excellent value for money. The rooms more than adequate if you're are out and about all day with fridge, kettle, blackout curtains and comfy beds all being very good. The comfort of the room would be improved by more efficient air conditioning. Unfortunately, in the hot weather, the AC was not able to reduce the room temperature below 28 deg C at night, which was very uncomfortable. We have just come back from one of the best one week holidays we have ever had courtesy of the Hostal Bahia, The hotel is in one of the best locations we have found, right on the beach with views over the bay. This is a traditional charismatic Spanish hotel situated right on the beach on the pine walk. The hotel is relatively no frills and the rooms are not particularly well equiped but are more than adequate, clean and comfortable. They do not have tea/coffee making facilities so taking a travel kettle is a good idea. IMO it's well worth paying for the sea […] view room. The buffet breakfast was excellent. If you want free sunbeds and luxurious lounges with entertainment - go somewhere else (and pay a lot more). The hotel's biggest assets are its value for money, fantastic location and its superb, friendly and really helpful staff. Hotstal Bahia is a lovely little hotel in a fabulous position. Staff are lovely and really helpful. Breakfast was great with a choice of hot and cold food. Hostel Bahia had a lovely outlook but unfortunately our room at back of hotel was very basic. There was not enough cupboards for clothes and bathroom was very hot and claustrophobic. I have been going to Pollensa for over ten years with both family and friends; it is beautiful, charming and the perfect place to unwind. For years we stayed at the lovely but expensive Illa D'or; this year budget permitting a friend and I opted for the purse friendly Hostal Bahia that we had often passed on our way into town. Situated on the pine walk […] and 6 feet from the beach you would struggle to find a more perfect location, equidistant from the town and the hotel bar at the Illa D'or that we cannot bare to be away from (view of the bay + mojitos + last of the evening sun = perfection). Upon arrival we were upgraded to a sea view. A stand out perk of this charming hostel is the view; for a small additional charge you can and absolutely should go for a sea view and balcony, but even without a balcony just the view made our stay that extra bit special. The staff here are exceptional, the 24 hour reception is a huge help especially when stumbling home after too much vino sol, there is always a smiling face to greet you, Juan was a particular favourite of ours! Whilst having breakfast gazing across the morning bay the staff again go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Although we ate in restaurants further in, the food at the Bahia is really good and their paella is infamous (although the lobsters have a tendency to glare at you during breakfast!) I cannot begin to imagine why anyone would not stay at the Hostal Bahia, it is a fraction of the cost of its 5* counterparts and just as enjoyable, in fact more so as you feel you have discovered a little secret treasure. I have to share with you that the staff at the hotel is extremelly helpful and nice. I had two not nice adventures-one I bloked my card and couldn't acess any cash. The receptionist helped me a lot and at the end borrowed me money for the ticket to Palma. Then I left valuable belongings in the drawer and I checked out. While waiting at the bus stop, […] the other receptionist chased me by bike to give it back to me. Very devoted service. If not to them, my stay would be terrible. Pay rise for both! Other than that: the hotel looks nice for the value. Loved the breakfast at the beach. However, my room didn't have air conditioning and it was slighlty hot. We had stayed at Puerto Pollensa before but decided to try the Bahia and were very pleased we did. On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Malena on reception. Our room was very nice and very spacious. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The hotel provides breakfast which had so much choice. Hotellet er gammelt men har en flott beliggenhet rett på stranden. Super restaurant og herlig frokost. Wi-FI fungerer bra. Litt vanskel med parkering og tilkomsten til hotellet. Strandpromenaden er ikke for biler på denne siden av bukten. Herlig sjøutsikt fra balkongene. En tur til Cap Formentor er vel verd !

Dette er et sjarmerende hotell som var meget fullt i ferien slik at vi dessverre ikke fikk rom med balkong. Vi hadde et dårlig bad der hverken dusj eller toalett fungerte godt nok. I tillegg var aircondition anlegget ikke helt i form. Det var hyggelig personal og meget god seng!

Hotellet har ca. 40 værelser og ånder af ro og fred. Værelserne mangler komfort og alting er småt: værelsets størrelse, halvt badekar, toilet der er svært at komme til, kun eet sengebord. Rengøringen af værelserne kunne godt være bedre. Hotellets service er i top ligesom morgenmaden. Udsigten fra værelserne med havudsigt er meget flot. Meget venligt […] personale. Die angegebene Sterne-Auszeichnung (nach Expedia-Vorgebe mit 3 Sterne angegeben) entspricht nicht der tatsächlichen Bewertung. Das Hotel gibt sich selbst nur 1 Stern auf eigenem Prospekt. Was die Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit anbelangt, sehr zufrieden. Die Zimmerausstattung ist allerdings mehr als spartanisch.
