If you are looking for traditional Scotland in a lovely village, this is the place for you.. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Wonderful staff, dinning and pub….. the rooms are well kept and have charm..

We celebrated our anniversary at the Lovat and our expectations were high and our experience exceeded our expectations. It was a great room, friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful location. The views from our room were second to none.

Situated in Newtonmore, The Glen Hotel is in a national park and close to Highland Folk Museum. Additional regional attractions include Highland Wildlife Park.

Hotel Features.
This Newtonmore hotel offers a restaurant, a coffee shop/café, and a bar/lounge. A complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas and an Internet point is located on site. The staff can provide tour/ticket assistance, event catering, and computer rentals. Additional amenities at this Edwardian hotel include an arcade/game room, ski storage, and a garden. Guest parking is complimentary. This is a smoke-free property.

My family and I booked two rooms for a one night stay in July, 2011. The hotel was clean and adequate, with a great free breakfast in the morning, and... a nice restaurant with good food for dinner. The only negative is one of the rooms did not have an ensuite bathroom, but was across the hall and reserved only for that room. The WIFI worked only in the hallway or lobby area. Lovely rooms, tidy and clean. All the staff were really helpfull and friendly. Traditional 'English Pub' style bar. 2 real ales on offer. Good selection of Whisky. Very good quality Pub style food. Same menu in both bar and restraunt with reasonable prices. Breakfasts were great and cooked to order. The owners and their staff were all reall helpfull. Excellent - enjoyed evening meal when we arrived. Bedrooms were very clean and beds very comfortable! Single room was quite small but also very comfortable and had en-suite so no problem with that - perfect for an overnight stay. Thoroughly enjoyed a full breakfast before we left at no additional cost - so great value too.

Hotellets pub/restaurang är bys samlingspunkt så det är ofta mycket lokalt folk på plats. Maten i restaurangen är lokal och mycket bra. Det är inte direkt någon lyx eller överflödig standard på rummen, men dom är rena och sängarna är bekväma. […] Personalen på hotellet och puben är mycket hjälpsamma och sociala. We werden hartelijk ontvangen, kregen een gezellig ingerichte kamer met eigen badkamer buiten de kamer, wat een klein minpuntje was. Goed verzorgd en prettig geprijsde menu's in een leuke bar geserveerd. Was ook mogelijk om rustig in het restaurant te eten. We hebben heerlijk geslapen en het hotel ligt heel centraal. Leuke omgeving...
