Although categorised as a beach hotel/on the beach the beach is some 500 meters away via two residential blocks. The hotel is also some 60 km south of... central Valencia and the airport so use the metro and train -is costs less than 10 euros compared with more than 80 by taxi! The beach by the way is excellent, clean and extensive. Other than at the hotel reception, English was not widely spoken or undertaood even in the cafes and the resort seems to be favored mainly by tour groups and Spanish families. The hotel has set a meal timing schedule and because of the afternoon siesta when everything seems to close down, dinner is not available until 8.30pm, so after lunch you will need to snack. The town itself and hotel location is relatively quiet apart from weekends when various cafe music bars are in evidence. The hotel is a modern building and most rooms appear to have a balcony and sea or sea port view. We had a buffet breakfast each day which was part of the packeage on offer, but the choice was limited and the quality variable apart from the excellent tortilla. All other meals we took locally as there are plenty of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, though most offered similar snacky type food. All in all a pleasant, relaxing and quiet place best suited to tour groups, who like beach activities and understand a little spanish. by a Hotels.com guest on 09/29/10

A short guide to Gandia

A long golden unspoiled beach, one of the best in the region, is Gandia’s claim to fame. Sailing and windsurfing are very popular here. The resort is patronised mostly by Spanish visitors and there are buzzing restaurants and nightlife. In the old heart of town the Palacio del Santo Duque is a glorious Baroque building. Some 40 kilometres south, the Albufera nature reserve is famous for its colourful migratory birds and paella restaurants.

Gandia is a popular Spanish holiday resort for Spaniards who like to go to a nice sandy beach and lie in the sun all day and get tanned. The hotel is only average, with basic facilities, including a small (clean) pool. Breakfast was included in our booking, and again was average, but plentiful. We only stayed here beacuse my husband had 2 days work […] locally. It would not be my usual choice of a beach-side holiday, as there are too many people. But there was a good range of restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel, the beach was nice (safe for children), and the water was warm. Ya habíamos estado en este hotel hace dos años y lo mejor como la vez anterior fue la comida del buffet, platos caseros muy buenos sobre todo el arroz. Echamos en falta una cama de matrimonio y algún detalle más pero en general recomiendo este hotel para unos días de playa.

Me gusto mucho en general .limpieza .trato y el desayuno muy bueno y muy completo .pero tengo que decir que tendrian que tener cuidado a la hora de asignar habitaciones puesto que en nuestra planta estaba lleno de gente joven que no me dejaron dormir muy mal

Es un hotel que está muy bien situado a unos pocos metros de la playa. Tanto las habitaciones como la comida corresponden al precio/ calidad. Hemos estado a gusto y si volvemos a Gandia repetiremos este hotel.

La atención en el Restaurante es buena. El hotel está bien mantenido y el servicio aceptable. Las vistas muy buenas (desde cualquier habitación a partir de la 6 planta). Buena relación calidad/precio. A mejorar la conexión wifi. Aunque el servicio de recepción dijo que intentaría solucionar el problema de conexión wifi en la habitación, lo cierto […] es que en los tres días que estuve hospedado no pude conectarme desde el portátil más que bajando al hall del hotel. Es un hotel excelente, buena comida, buen trato del personal, buena limpieza. El cocinero es bastante bueno hace muchas variedades de comida y unos postres excelentes. Yo llevo llendo al mismo hotel 3 años y si puedo repetire.

estuvimos dos dias en el hotel y podemos resaltar sobre todfo la amabilidad de todo el personal. La situación es bastante buena, piesto que ersta a 150 metros del Paseo Marítimo. La habitación amplia, Recomiendo este hotel a otros viajeros

esta muy bien el hotel junto con sus empleados y su atencion en muy grata. la comida del bufet genial. mucha variedad de comidas caseras y buenas. el unico inconveniente es k es de 10 plantas y hay dos ascensores.. y aveces hay que esperar por o demas genial!!! lo recomiendo para parejas..

He estado solo un dia con mi familia pero todo ha sido perfecto. El hotel esta a 250m de la playa, Calidad precio no esta mal, la habitacion y comidas muy normalitas, la atencion del personal muy buena, cuando hemos estado habria el 50% de ocupacion y se tarda un poco en subir y bajar por haber solo dos ascensores,

La estancia en el hotel ha sido corta pero muy buena. Perdimos la comida del primer dia y sin nosotros decirles nada nos ofrecieron la comida del último dia. El personal era muy majo y agradable.
